We hired the company, paid in advance (for a discount) and they agreed the testing would be complete and the report at the supplier by August 15th. That date came and went and we'd seen no one. A couple of weeks and several phone calls later - each with a wonderful excuse as to why they had not done what they said they would do - and finally, about 18 days late they did what they agreed. Once they came out things went quickly and well, it was too difficult getting them there.
Description of Work: We hired the company to do some backflow preventer testing, required by our water system. They come out, perform the test, and then send a report with the results to the water supplier.

They did not replace the sprinkle heads. I brought it to their attention again in 2012 and the heads still weren't replaced. The control box near the sidewalk at the front of the house was replaced (because the city again said the backflow valve wasn't working). This time it was installed way above ground height and at an unattractive angle.
Description of Work: I have an annual service contract with them to maintain a system installed by others. They were supposed to replace two missing sprinkler heads that were damaged when a fence was installed in back yard.

They showed up early, and were waiting when I got home. They were very pleasant, but it was difficult to communicate with them due to a language barrier, so we had a hard time getting suggestions and making our requests known. They did the basic check, but we were unable to go any further than that.

I have always been happy with the work Advanced has done for me and plan to continue to use them.
Description of Work: Joey replaced my backflow valve. He was 30 minutes early which was great since I had other things to do that day. He was great about explaining everything he did and was very friendly. Advanced irrigation has done other work for me in the past and I have always had great service.

My experience with this company was BAD and I dropped them as a provider as soon as I could. First, they did the back flow test and told me suddenly that I had to replace a back flow valve. I hope this was required because after the full experience I am somewhat more skeptical. They started the tune-up but could not finish and said they had to come back another day. Then they gave me a 10am - 1pm window for the follow up work. However, they did not show up in the window on a Saturday, so my family and I went out. I called later and they said that the window was only a guideline and that they could actually come any time during the day. This was absurd. Then they said they would only do one attempt at finishing the work. I said it wasn't my fault they missed their window. After that, the experience was fruitless because they were unprofessional, unaccountable, and lacked integrity.

The installation went fine, except that Advanced Irrigation, did not pay attention to finished planting and grade. Consequently several sprinkler heads were either behind large plants or severely under ground. The service was a disaster. They had a four week lead time for service to fix problems. They promised dates, that they did not keep. After trying for eight weeks to get service, we canceled Advanced Irrigation and will try another service.
Description of Work: Advanced Irrigation installed a seven zone irrigation system, that covered our entire yard, as part of a complete re-landscaping project.

The whole experience has been expensive and frustrating. Now it is time to turn off the system for the winter. What's the difference? They never got it on to begin with and it's cost me over $450 for them to try. They suck! I call them Advanced Irritation.
Description of Work: AI was to come in the spring to turn on and tune up the sprinkler system in my yard. Despite turning on the system, nothing seemed to come on. This happened last summer as well. I called when I saw that one valve was on constantly and had been on for days down in an obscure corner of the yard. The ground was soaked and spongy. My water bill was over $100 higher for that month. When I couldn't turn off the system and couldn't get anything to work on the electric panel, I called in a panic. They sent a person out to fix it 4 days later! He didn't fix it, but did turn off the entire system and told me that someone would be out to fix it soon. No one came for weeks. I called and they finally sent another person out who worked on the problem. After he left, the system never came on again. I bought a simple sprinkler and attached it to my front yard hose. I lost several plants to drought in the backyard. Still, they charged me for the calls and still nothing works.
