Carbon River Doors

I dealt with Crystal, Brock and James from Carbon River Doors. They were all excellent communicators and genuinely nice people. They were super professional from start to finish. We are so pleased with the results. I give them my highest recommendation. They were also priced very well, which is an added bonus.

My experience went extremely well. I was helped by James who was super friendly to me and my kids. He seemed to really know his stuff and was very informative. He fixed the rollers on my door, checked, and tuned up the rest of the unit. He even had a super friendly laid back dog who was happy just sitting in his truck. The experience really couldn't have gone any better.

Overall it went well. The installer seemed knowledgable about this line of work and assessing my current system. Almost right off the bat he wanted to sell me new springs. Which it probably needed because the door was very hard to raise by hand. The springs had been replaced before as he pointed out, probably not sprung properly. Nevertheless, he was on his phone most of the time talking to his wife/girlfriend (wasn't a co-worker obviously). Later in the install he and I were talking and he stated this was probably his last week with the company ( he only worked with CRD for a few months and wasn't happy). This is not what you want to hear when you are hiring a company to install a garage door system for you by a person who won't be there next week! This review is +1 month since install. Overall I'm very happy though. Lifetime warranty door opener (registered), super quiet, working great, install went smooth, no issues. Money well spent.

I sent in an email to request an appt. and the very next week Brock was at our house and was able to talk us through what was needed and why the door was not performing. Price was reasonable and in a couple hours the old door was as good as new! Very pleased. Brock and his pup Cleveland were both lovely.

The job went great! The technician came within the projected window and called me before he came. He had no objection to me observing and asking questions. He worked quickly and made sure everything was working smoothly.

He arrived on scheduled time, but still gave me the warning courtesy call. He brought his lovely brown lab dog, but did not let him out loose! This was very considerate and polite. He performed the work, was confident and friendly. He did not have problems and did not share any personal issues with me. He did what he was hired to do, and left when he was done. He also went next door and greased and lubed my elderly parents garage doors, and did a great job. My doors did not work this well when they were new. He is my new garage door man. I hope he prospers.

James came the next day after I called, did a great job, was really professional and friendly. I was completely satisfied.

It was very good. He cleaned up very good. He was a very personable and very friendly guy. I was most impressed. The "Big Deal" was a great price. I called them with questions and they responded quickly. They gave me great answers. I will recommend them for others.

He arrived during the specified time window and got the work done on the timeline he described, for the price advertised. He was professional and friendly. For example, he fully explained features, such as "time to close" automatically, and asked me the setting I wanted. He also asked whether the music he was playing while installing was bothering me. It wasn't at all, and it wasn't even loud, but the fact that he'd even ask reflected professionalism and that he cared about the customer. There was a tiny snafu when I paid by credit card at the end - the card reader/app didn't clearly indicate that it had completed the transaction. Rather than run it again, he didn't want to inconvenience me with the potential for a double charge, and suggested I just check whether I received the emailed receipt later. The office could clean it up Monday and charge me once if it hadn't gone through. This also reflected his focus on customer service - rather than stick me with the potential need to remove a double charge, he took the risk that the office would need to track me down the following week and they might suffer a delay in getting paid. (Turned out the charge had gone through, so everyone was happy.) I felt good about the price - there was no "trip fee/charge" to inspect things and propose a solution. I felt I had reasonable choices for a new opener, and the accessories (e.g. additional opener) were very reasonably priced. There was enough work involved in the installation, including running a bunch of wires I'd have found annoying. I got the opener, additional accessories, installation, adjustment and lubrication of my door for what I thought was a fair price. I'd recommend them, and plan to use them again next time my springs break or something goes wrong.

Gave me right size springs and let me use rollers from other company. They did good work.

. Very profess.ional. Brock did a wonderful job. Some parts were missing he went and got the parts, He stayed until he had it working perfectly. He cleaned up every screw and bolt and took all our parts with him. Our cement is unlevel and he was able to fit the garage door perfectly. The best service we have had in years.

OMG!!!!! You have no idea how pleased we are! We bought a home in Bonney Lake. We had a terribly squeaky garage door AND the home inspector told us we needed to balance the stress on our garage door. So we took advantage of a Group-on offer for $45. We totally expected to have the technician try to oversell us on additional things. BOY WERE WE WRONG!!!!! James, an owner operator, showed up. On time. He is SO very polite and talkative! He explained a ton of things about garage doors. Then he fixed the squeaks. He recommended one thing - he recommended lowering the entire motor and mounting to reduce stress on the door. he explained that it would probably extend the life of our door by 5 - 10 years. We thought it was a soak job, but he said it would only cost $20. That included his labor to lower both the motor and the mounting AND add a foot or so to the strapping (because it was a further drop from the ceiling). LOL..... I guess we could afford to take the gamble. I asked him if the rollers needed replaced - which I thought was needed and I knew it would be about $80 more. He assured me that the rollers were fine. You will not find a more honest technician than James. We adored him for not only giving us free info about how to maintain our garage door in the future but we also appreciate it that he didn't try to over-sell me on stuff that I didn't need. Use this company! You will not be soaked! You will be pleased, I am sure!

A FABULUS EXPERIENCE! I worked with 3 different representatives from Carbon River Doors by phone and in person during this project. Every encounter was great - they were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They were able to provide immediate answers to my questions and let me know what to expect for costs, the timeframe and the installation process. They were very efficient in their work and left no trace of disorder or trash when they left. The first appointment to measure my doors was later than originally scheduled due to an unforeseen delay at the representative's first appointment - but I was called and notified of the delay and the revised arrival time. They were right on time for the installation day. I have no negative comments or recommendations for improvement for Carbon River Doors - They rate an A-Plus with Honors.

We just bought a ten-year old tract house and every time we closed the garage door, there was a huge bang. We thought the door was going to fall apart. The technician showed up as scheduled and added a metal strip to strengthen the door as a bandaid until we are ready to replace it. He also serviced the door, updated the outside passcode (that we didn't even know we had), and programmed our cars' internal remotes. Everything works great now. He left us with a quote for a new door, which we will certainly have these guys do when our budget allows it. What I liked the best is that he went above and beyond by programming our cars and showing us all the features of the existing door. It's definitely builder grade, but at least it should last until we can get a new one.

Super service. Very timely in contacting me, arriving when promised and doing the work contracted for. Brock was great -- he gets in and gets the job done, so I've already recommended CRD to friends and family. Very pleased that there was no attempt to up sell me -- the extra items that were done were at my request. Especially pleased that the cleanup was so thorough and all the old stuff was hauled away without additional cost. Color me happy, happy, happy.

James came, and told us what he could and couldn't do because the doors were from a little used manufacturer. He replaced fraying cables in both doors, and they now work perfectly.

The tech was very professional and nice. He was very thorough and I could tell he took great pride in his workmanship. The cost included the replacement spring, servicing the door, replacement garage door opener (including remote keypad).

I've been wanting a new garage door for years. Then I saw Angie's List Big Deal and checked into it. I knew from checking around the price was very good. I called them to check on a few details, and bought the Deal. Their office manager, Crystal, was so very nice and professional. James, who was in charge of putting the door in was wonderful. He explained everything to me, what he would have to do and why. When the door was installed, the job went smoothly and was done sooner than I expected. The garage floor was swept and everything looked great. I never would have believed that a new garage door would make that much difference, but it did. I am so happy and glad that I found Carbon River Doors because of Angie's List.
