 + -1 moreWe were very disappointed at the sloppy workmanship. We had paint on the ground on our bark and rocks. We had to review the whole house to have them redo areas. They painted over spider nests - rather than brush them off. (They had pressure washed it ahead of time). Terrible job on the trim work. All over the frame of the windows. Paint on the patio. Paint on our stained deck. There was one professional in the group - the rest not so much. I would never rehire this group.

Description of Work: If you want a contractor that has hidden costs, doesn't stick to schedule, and who yells and screams at women, then this is your guy. I got home from work one evening to find my wife in tears. She explained that Jon had yelled at her for his money even though she had explained that there were some missed spots in the deck. He had threatened her by saying he was going to take her house away. After a few angry text messages from Jon, he sent some staff over to finish the job. The problem with that, was he never told us his employees were coming over. We weren't home, and the paint was in the garage. This led to his second violent screaming attack to my wife over the phone. This led to a long drawn out process of waiting several days at our home for painters that never showed up when they were supposed to. Meanwhile he kept texting us how he would lien our house. Avoid this POS like the plague he is.

 + -1 moreJohn Stewart Painting LLC was really great. I contacted about 6 painters in the Shelton area. Most didnt respond, were difficult to arrange bids, wre less than enthusiastic or were bidding way too high. John was quick to respond and gave me a very reasonable bid and listened to my needs and never gave me any reason to question his company's ability to do a quality job. All appointments, power washing, soffit repair, and paint day went as planned on time. The crew was cohisive, pleasant, meticulous and attentive start to finish. I've had a few houses painted over the years and this was the best overall experience I have had. Highly recommend.
