Sean did an awesome job! He arrived in a timely fashion to provide an estimate, and then after discussing the condition of the trees and work involved he offered to begin immediately ahead of the next storm coming in. He and Gary completed the work exactly as described and requested within a few hours. They completed what was a hazardous task in a very safe and efficient manner. We will have Sean back to do more work for us!

Sean responded to my initial phone call very quickly and was able to come by and assess our needs on the same day. After a couple of weeks of emails back-and-forth we had a signed work order. After that things got quiet. I didn't hear from Sean for several weeks until I contacted him regarding the status of our project. Apparently, that got things going again. A date and time was set, and the work was completed in a timely manner.

We were very happy with this Company. We had a large Maple tree that we needed removed to be able to build a shed. It was in some landscaping, close to our pond, and also close to another out building. They did an excellent job taking it down in pieces that did not damage anything, it is an amazing process to watch. When Eric came out to work up a bid he did a good job in explain what they could do and asked questions to determine what was important to us. They took the tree down, left it on the ground in pieces so we could cut it up ourselves for firewood, removed and chipped the small limbs and branches, and did a great job cleaning up. We had 3 companies come out to give us bids and they were the best bid and did a great job.

Eric (sp?) came out for the bid and we walked around the house for his advice on all my trees. Very courteous and open to whatever I needed done. I thought the bid was fair based on previous work I have had done. The trees were cut into 4 foot segments which I later bucked myself. All the branches were chipped into two large piles just inside the forest next to my house. The yard was left clean, and none of my bushes or landscaping was damaged. I appreciated the attention to reducing overall cost by leaving work that I could do myself.

Great experience overall...They had warned us up front that some of our plantings around the tree would be damaged during the removal process, but were able to complete the work and save all of our landscaping. Also, they completed the work in less time than they estimated and passed the savings on to us. We would definitely use them again.

The team was professional in their approach, always checked any changes with me, responded to my changes quickly, and did a thorough job.

I couldn't be happier with the work Sean did for me. I had a maple tree with large limbs reaching out over my carport roof that posed a potential threat. We also consulted about the health and status of the four mountain ash and two mature cherry trees in my courtyard that provide a cooling canopy in the spring and summer months. One of the cherry trees had grown to yield three tall, separate trunks from a relatively short base. He recommended cabling those three trunks for added support in the event of a severe storm and I agreed. He also pruned and removed dead limbs from the ash trees. My next door neighbor hired him to do some tree work after he finished with mine. The ice storm three months later in January yielded incredible tree damage in my westside neighborhood. But neither my neighbor nor I incurred any tree damage or downed limbs and we congratulated ourselves on having Sean do this work when we did. My courtyard is rimmed by two buildings and a carport and there were no branches or debris on any of them. .

I contacted South Sound Tree and Landscape last week to have two trees removed. Sean Kroll came to my home to provide me a free written estimate. While he was here, he noticed two other trees were beginning to make contact with my house and recommended having them pruned. His estimate for removing both trees and pruning was far below what I expected to pay, based on prices we've paid to other companies who have our trees pruned in the past. South Sound Tree and Landscape will be the first company we call in the future to handle our landscaping needs.

Sean brought a wonderful balance of carefully tending to the needs of the trees and the needs of the home owner. I felt very confident in the approach Sean took in carefully trimming trees in my rental yard and cutting two trees down in my yard. His knowledge of trees and their care is refreshing as he does his work to help home owners happily live with trees and maintain their roofs, yards and homes. I am thrilled to have found the South Sound Tree and Landscape business: promptness + knowledge + efficient + personable = a great experience!!! The work was done in one day, very well, and at a good price. The yard was cleaned up and all work completed as per request. What really impressed me is that Sean asked me what my goal was and then really looked everything over carefully and made recommendations based on that. He was very professional and very nice. (I had just gotten another quote from another company where there was game playing which I did not appreciate.) Well my goal was to have fewer needles on the roof as my husband has to clear the roof several times per year, remove any tree that might fall on the house, and get more light into our very dark front yard. Sean really looked everything over and recommended that, in addition to getting the city permit for the maximum of 5 trees, that I request that a city arborist check one tree for hazard approval. I did that and was actually approved for 3 trees in addition to the maximum of 5 allowed by the city. He also steered me away from thinning trees right away and encouraged me to first remove trees I really wanted to get rid of and see if that gave me enough light before thinning which, if it is done correctly without perforating the tree trunks, is pretty expensive. After the logs were cut, we could see that he was correct that several Hemlocks were decaying on the inside and I am very glad to be rid of them. And wow - this morning I am getting sunlight from a direction in my front yard that has never produced sunlight before!

I called in the morning and they went to my home and I received a verbal estimate ( I was at work) several hours later. I accepted and the work was mostly completed that day. Some remaining wood was removed a day later. They took great care and it was like the trees just disappeared; I was so grateful that the work could be done quickly as one of the tree hung over my neighbor's house and was in poor condition. I was worried about the high winds. Every step went perfectly. Shawn was very professional. The price was very fair. I could not have asked for a better price. I was able to make payment through PayPal, which is very convenient. I would recommend this company without reservation.

The South Sound crew were very professional and handled a difficult job with great skill and care. Cleanup was extremely good. All the wood, branches, leaves and other debris was thoroughly removed. The stump was ground. We were very pleased with the results.

I found his listing on Angie's list on Wednesday, called he was at the house on Thursday and the work was done and cleaned up on Saturday. Very knowlegable and gave advice about other trees and shrubs. I give this service the best rating available.

Sean provided a very knowledgeable review of all the trees on our property and spent a lot of time during the estimate in giving us a good understanding of what he thought would be good for the property and the health of the trees. The price was very competitive, actually cheaper than most and he instilled a lot of confidence because of his extensive knowledge. He and his crew were very professional in removing the trees, doing everything that he had promised and leaving no evidence of his visit behind. Both my wife and I were very happy with the service and we both felt like he probably didn't charge enough, based on all the work that he did. We were very happy with his services, will highly recommend him to any of our friends and will use him again when we need further services.

They gave us a bid in the morning and came back in the afternoon to do the job. They were punctual, professional, took out the trees in sections and lowered the sections carefully to the ground avoiding any contact with our home or our neighbors home. As agreed they cut the trees down as close as they could to the ground leaving minimal stumps. After taking the trees down they proceeded to load all the branches and wood into their trailer to be hauled away. Then, they completely raked and blew all debris from our patio and side yard area including the leaves that had fallen from the trees in previous weeks. If the small stumps were not still there, you would never have known that there had been any trees in my side yard. Their performance was above and beyond my expectations.
