I had Reliable Electric out to check a thermostat, wall heater and electrical panel in the home I recently purchased. When the technician arrived, he was clearly upset and even angry once I reviewed my Ring camera footage. He refused to test my electrical panel to check the 2 breakers that my home inspector said had issues and were overheating. He did ask if my water heater was working because it looked like that breaker was tripped. He also indicated that my panel was 20 years old. Even after knowing this, he did not want to do any testing to see if the breakers were working correctly. Once inside, I indicated that I thought the thermostat was broken and needed to be replaced first. I let him know I'd be in the next room if he needed me. Shortly after, I walked into the room while he was taking off the thermostat and he stated, "it just fell apart in my hand". To my surprise, he had already replaced my wall heater. I do not believe he tested the heater before replacing it. I did not feel comfortable saying anything at the time, so I called the office the following day to request my "broken" heater. The receptionist said I could come in to get it, but their trash picks up at 9am. I asked if someone could pull it out for me and she said, "we aren't going to dumpster dive". At that time, I left a message for Gary to call me. The following day I called back and left a message on his personal voicemail. I waited 2 days and called again as I had not heard back. I was able to speak to Gary. He explained that the tech tested my heater by taking off the thermostat and wiring it directly to see if I worked. This was a blatant lie as I saw that the thermostat was still on the wall after my heater had been replaced. I conveyed my concern, and he could care less. I also asked if someone else come out and test my breakers as per my original request or be charged 1/2 hour which was the time spent at my home. To my dismay, he laughed at me and said he'd talk to the owner, but the owner refused to come back out or only charge a 1/2 hour. He said I'd be charged their 1-hour minimum charge due to drive time, which I was never told about. According to their website, I am within their service area and no minimum charge is stated. I do not recommend this company and feel I was taken advantage of. Once I received the bill in the mail, I was charged a $145 Service call and 2 hours of drive time at $105 per hour plus the cost of the heater and thermostat. Again, there was no mention of being charged for drive time. This company has highly unethical business practices in my opinion. I paid the bill under protest and will never use them again. I highly recommend calling a different company for your projects. Thank you for listening.

Very pleased with the work done. Journey-level electrician and an apprentice cut in five recessed lights, put in dimmers on new and existing lights, and helped us solve some mystery light switch issues. They were punctual, professional, personable, and thorough. They weren’t the cheapest bid, but I appreciated the professionalism and responsiveness of the project manager, so I went with Reliable Electric. Recommend and would hire again.

work was none well and have used for several other repairs. No hesitation to use them. Workers have good sense of wanting to do a good job! rather than just get it done. I have learned that is most import quality in a company. I have had many companies work for me over the years and i like these guys.

The service was excellent and the clean up was great. They were able to provide same day emergency appointment without any extra deals and the cost was reasonable. I don't have a single complaint about them.

They were nice people. I have used them again.

They were used as a subcontractor at my house. Whoever came out was lazy and in a hurry to get out of there. He replaced the GFI outlet with a standard outlet likely to save money. He didn't ask but told my wife that was how it is in the "code". The inspector disagreed and they had to come back. One of the fans was installed poorly. We explained this over email and they defended their work even though the fan housing was hanging below the ceiling. I asked that someone else be sent out since we were not comfortable with the first guys work. The manager, Brennan said he would send someone else, if fact the owner. Instead the same guy came this time angry. Do not use them. Or, if you do you'd better just be ready to accept a low quality with no complaints.

I called three "major" electricians in the area. One came by and provided and estimate that was quite expensive for 2 projects (one of which my husband did on his own for less than $25 that was estimated at a $100 job). One came by and stayed in the house talking about lighting options with very confusing suggestions and talk of having to tear up the ceiling and promised an estimate in the mail which never came. And one called and said they would be out to visit and never showed up. So I left the project undone over the summer and then I decided to call Reliable because my neighbor said they were a good company. I called, and they sent someone out THAT day to look at the project. He said he could do it in a few hours. The project was to move a light fixture from one side of the dining room to the middle. But it required effort around some cross beams. He also told me how to fix the 'hole' in the ceiling without hiring a contractor unnecessarily. Reliable lived up to their company name and I am very pleased and thankful!

The electrician was prompt, professional, and efficient. He patiently listened to some questions I had, explained things well, and got the work done without delay. All the installations worked well and looked good. There were no surprises when the bill arrived. They charge by the hour, I had been given an estimate beforehand on how long the work would take, it took a little less than the estimated time, and the bill was accurate (rate matched what they had told me, hours matched what they worked). Regarding paying by the hour, it helps to have a list of extra, quick, low-priority work or questions they can address if the main work you want done gets finished shortly into the last hour. This is make sure you get the most out of the last hourly period you're paying for (you want to avoid a situation where the work is finished 10 minutes into a new hour, because then you're paying for the remaining 50 minutes even though nothing else is done). But I consider this a minor inconvenience. I planned for this ahead of time, so most of the last hour was used getting this extra work done or getting some extra questions answered. I did call two other companies before choosing Reliable Electric. Both sounded knowledgeable and gave estimates that were similar to Reliable Electric, so I feel the price I paid for the work was definitely reasonable. I was very happy with Reliable Electric and will use them again.

They came right out and the guy was super nice. We told him what we wanted to do and he told us about the laws about the panel because it had to be taken from the inside and put on the outside of the wall. It was in a stairwell and by law, it isn't supposed to be that way. They moved it outside and he explained the reasoning. He was really nice and he was knowledgeable about everything that we had questions on. He told us that he would get us an estimate written up and he emailed it right over. We accepted the estimate and they brought out a couple of guys and got everything done. An inspector came out and they still were not quite done. He knew their work and knew that they do really good stuff. They still had about an hour of cleaning up. They were awesome.

It was great! Michael was on time and on top of the job immediately both days. He stopped long enough for lunch or run to get a piece he needed. He cleaned up after himself and was very polite. I would definitely recommend Reliable Electric, their name says it all.

I have been using them off and on for years. They do great work. I call them all the time. They did a great job on the pond. I was comfortable with the amount I paid them. I think their prices are fine. I wouldn't call them back all these years if I didn't like them.

The job was done promptly and professionally over a one and one-half day period. The installer was very clever and extremmely competent in chooisng where and how to locate the various electrical wire runs and components.

The panel was outdated and had to be replaced. They did a good job. I did not compare the prices but I felt the price was right on. We would certainly recommend them.

Bobby and his crew are awesome. They show up on time are extremely professional and clean up afterwards. The did everything they promised and gave us good advice as well. I will use Bobby again.
