Pruningman

Description of Work: I used Pruning Specialist for tree service. He got rid of 5 trees. They were evergreens that were only about 20 feet tall. They were not large; the maximum diameter was only about 10 inches. It was necessary because I had rats jumping onto the roof from these trees.

Description of Work: Pruned 7 cherry trees in the parking strip that had low-lying branches, interfered with utility lines and needed thinning.

Description of Work: Mike arrived in a large rig, well-maintained, and he was neat, courteous and very knowledgable. He asked me what I wanted to achieve with the pruning and my preferences about the shape and openness of the remaining structure. He told me about his fees before he began but did not give me an exact bid. He thought it would take him about 1.5 days. In the case of one damaged tree he observed on the property he asked what I wanted to do with that. When I answered I needed to remove it but did not want to pay his hourly rate for that or the removal of the resulting debris, he brought in a second person to perform those chores under his supervision. Mike did a beautiful job pruning and even repairing last winter's damage to my mature sylvestris pine. It hadn't been attended to in years so it took more time than usual. He also pruned two large eleagnus bushes that are robust growers and had overrun their space. Lastly he shaped plants around the pruned objects so that the transitions and overall flow of the landscape improved markedly. All debris was removed and all areas swept clean. He billed me for what it cost to take the material to the dump after he paid the fee himself and sent me the receipt.

Description of Work: I have a very small area above a rockery which had an old English laurel, three locust/devils thorn, and two six year old ornamental flowering trees. The laurel and locust were ''chocking'' out the area, hiding the ornamental trees and generally taking over. I found Mike by going to Google and typing in shrub pruning. I read his background on the web site, and decided to contact him. He responded to my email, we met so he could evaluate the problem and give an estimate. It was a situation that once he saw the problem and knew what I wanted, I did not have to be home when the work was performed. Initially he said he would not be able to do the work for about a month, but would come by to take down a very large limb on the locust that had split. Within four days he was at my house and not only took the limb, but ended up completing the work. He is knowledgeable regarding pruning and growth of shrubs and trees. The job took five hours. I am very satisfied.
