Mike started out absolutely amazing -- he was very personable and seemed very knowledgeable. I had total faith in him as he said over and over that he wanted us to have the best finished product and had our best interest at heart. Somewhere along the line, he simply stopped communicating or showing up. I had to contact him and he was very frustrated, indicating that he was having hard time getting materials. I told him I understood and offered him a ton of grace. To be fair, our project turned out decent. But we were left with mismatching appliances (we asked for all black and ended up with a white dishwasher), a drawer and cupboard next to the stove that you could not open unless you opened the stove door, a microwave outlet was not installed above the stove (just laying there in the cupboard). He claimed that he called the cabinet guys about the problem with the drawers not opening, I contacted them directly and they said they had not heard from him. They contacted me directly, came out and said that the cabinets were not installed correctly. They are going to fix it for me, even though I'm not their direct customer (Mike is!). They asked if there was extra wood flooring because when they fix incorrectly installed cabinets there will be concrete exposed underneath. I emailed Mike twice to ask for help and he never responded. He just flat out has ignored me after he got payment. I was trying to be understanding of the situation he was in, but in retrospect I should have held back final payment when I realized there were issues. I really liked this guy so much at first, but he failed in the end big time and isn't even willing to respond to me now that he got his final payment. Not cool Mike.
