Description of Work: Oh where to begin.......I don't usually give negative reviews as I feel so often they become a nit-pick fest. I've debated reviewing this company and I've finally decided I need to just share what was done. I don't even know if this company is in business anymore, but if they are, I hope others heed the warnings. | |I hired this plumber back in Fall 2015 to come replace a cracked toilet seal. I knew there was no way I could do it myself and I was pretty sure that a leaky seal upstairs was causing water damage on the ceiling downstairs. I had him scheduled for a Saturday. Never showed, didn't call. I got an excuse 4 hours later after I called and left a message that they were called out on an "emergency" due to all the rain causing flooding. Ok, whatever. That should have been my hint, but it wasn't. So I rescheduled. Showed up 2 hours late on the reschedule. Took the toilet apart and in the process we discovered that while the seal had in fact failed, the drain pipe was also cracked. Would need to come back to repair and would need to do it from the downstairs bath, which meant drywall. I was okay with this because the drywall on the ceiling had to be replaced anyway due to mold and water damage from the leak. So we set up the appointment. | |He came out (the only time he was actually on time), cut the hole to remove the damaged dry wall, replaced the pipe, replaced the seal, reinstalled the toilet. Dry wall guy came in to do the ceiling. Mind you this was a Saturday. Well, dry wall guy said he would need to come back the next day to finish the sanding after the mud dried and to do the texture. Not only did he not show up, he left a piece of drywall outside against a fence that then got saturated with rain. HOA was not amused. Several days later, after not hearing anything, I emailed. They were "shocked" it was not done. I then found out they fired the drywall guy. While waiting for them to set up a new appointment with a new dry waller, I discovered another leak in the relatively same spot. Plumber came back out, said it appeared to be the flashing around a nearby skylight. He offered to replace for free and then we would set up the drywall once everything was dried out. He pulled down more damaged drywall in the process to open up the space and let it dry out. Okay, fine. | |By this point it was almost Thanksgiving, I had family coming, then I was going out of town. So I left it with them that I would let them know when I was back in town after the first of the year to schedule the dry wall work. It spiraled out of control from there. Over the course of about 3 weeks in January, I made appointment after appointment only to get one excuse after another as to why they couldn't come. I don't know what to believe, but the the excuses ranged from "stuck between downed trees" (It was one of the days we had a big storm with trees down), "Grandmother dying," "Daughter in Labor." "Funeral preparations" "Sick"......you get the idea. After the last time of me moving around my schedule and taking a day off after hearing "He will absolutely be there!" and then a no show, I finally decided I had enough. I never contacted them again and I never heard from them again. | |I called another plumber to fix the second leak. Oh, did I mention the "leaking flashing" may or may not have been leaking. The other plumber found the leak around the upstairs shower fixture. And I have no idea if the so called leaking flashing that would be done for free the next day was done, since I wasn't home and didn't need to be for it. | |So here I am 8 months later with a crappy unfinished drywall job from the first patch and a hole in the ceiling from the second issue. I'll have to find a drywaller to come out to redo the entire thing and I have to figure out how to work it around my schedule and how to pay for it. In the end I can't decide if I'm more mad at this company for the lies, excuses, and frankly shoddy work or at myself for falling for the excuses for so long. I just hope the toilet is repaired properly. But I'd be lying if said I haven't contemplated having someone come out and replace the seal again just to make sure.
