J & N CONCRETE

The work was fine; BUT they sent me to a collection agency after not receiving my check in the mail after TWO WORKING days! UNFREAKING believable! I received their invoice on the afternoon of Friday, 5/26, I wrote and mailed a check on Monday, 5/29. (Not even ONE working day after the work was done.) And it was Memorial Day and therefore; not a working day. On Wednesday, 5/31, they contacted a collection agency to come after me. After TWO working days of not receiving a check in the mail from me. UNREAL!!! I would never do business again with this company again unless I wanted my credit possibly ruined if they don't receive a check in snail mail (which they agreed to) within ONE working day! I am EXTREMELY angry about this. UNFREAKING believable!!!! I did look online at my checking account and it doesn't look like they have cashed my check yet; but then again, it has only had 4 working days to arrive (again via snail mail) and for them to cash it. I am still in shock. A collection agency after not receiving a check only TWO working days after the work was done. What a joke!

Our large covered back patio was on a small incline for drainage. We wanted to install a hot tub on the patio but the hot tub required a level pad. J & N was very responsive. Jim was punctual, professional and friendly when he arrived to provide an estimate. He suggested a good solution to our needs, wrote up the details, and an estimate arrived in our inbox the next morning. We found the estimate to be reasonable and set a date for the work. Due to rains their schedule for the pour slipped a day but they kept us informed and showed up on the established Friday to do what work they could. They neatly cut out and remove the existing slab and set the forms. When that was done they hauled every last concrete chunk away and cleaned up the back patio perfectly. On the following Monday they showed up on time and poured the slab. They sprinkled it with water and covered it with a tarp so it would cure slowly and not crack. Again, they cleaned up perfectly. The next day they came to remove the tarp and perform last day cleanup and we couldn't be happier with the result. The exposed aggregate finish is a perfect match for the existing patio and they worked well with the electricians to bring the power up through the slab in the appropriate slot. We are very, very pleased with the work done and are happy to give them our highest recommendation.

I was very pleased with the work done by J and N. The crew was punctual and hard-working. Jim brought plenty of guys to get the job done efficiently. We are very pleased with the finished ramp and patio ... it has added not only a safety feature to the house, but also enhanced curb appeal.

It went fine and I will use them again in the future.

Jim was courteous and friendly, listened to what we wanted, seemed to just and quot;getand quot; it, and then got the job done in a timely manner. We were a bit nervous at first, as the process seemed a bit casual, though we did receive a sketch and a very reasonable quote. He's obviously very experienced, though, and the end result is a really nice exposed aggregate stairway and landing, with some cool incorporated boulders -- just what we wanted. The project really upped our home's curb appeal.
