Description of Work: Black Hills performed a very thorough inspection and maintenance of my furnace and heat pump. I have found Black Hills to be a very customer oriented company that is easy and pleasant to deal with. They deliver what they say they will, and they do so very professionally. Their techs are highly skilled and do an outstanding job of explaining what they are doing, what they have found, and the full range of options to deal with any current and/or potential future problems.

Description of Work: Changed filter in furnace. Everything was great. I didn't have an appointment, I flagged down Travis as he was in our neighborhood and he completed the service. Exceptional job.

Description of Work: Installed new heat pump, great service before and after the sale. They made special effort to come in person and our questions months later.

Description of Work: We purchased a heat pump, one of the most energy efficient models. It heats a 2400 sq ft house at 68 and 65 day and night temps. We didn't compare prices, so we can't speak about the purchase price. We had the oil furnace removed, the electrical panel for the house replaced, an electrical furnace installed as backup to the heat pump. We have had some issues recently, apparently a component that malfunctioned in the pump. They respond on the same day, and there is no charge. Very professional behavior from office secretary to the responding service person.

They maintain the service contract on our equipment in order to keep our warranty valid. They are a professional and courteous company that I would not hesitate to recommend. I gave a B for price because, well it's expensive :)

Description of Work: Very professional and friendly service from start to finish. Our old heater died with no warning, during a cold week. Blackhills responded quickly to my request and stayed in touch through the entire process.

Description of Work: Replaced our gas furnace. Inspected old furnace, even checked ducts under the house. Gave us a detailed explanation of what they found. Went over possibilities of replacements. We chose what we wanted. They were in within a week to do the work: new furnace, new and more efficient intake/discharge pipes, CO2 monitor, and permits. Took care of things the original builder had not done. Were extremely thorough.

Description of Work: Serviced ac/heat pump. Took air handler completely apart and cleaned blades. Checked all circuits. Washed heat pump coils, serviced unit. Check all circuits. Found and replaced bad switch. Technician was very thorough and explained everything that was done.

Description of Work: Most recent service was the installation of a free filter replacement (no cost). However, we pay for an annual service plan that helps with costs. Do not know how their costs compare with other providers. We have used Blackhills for the last 14 years and have had no complaints.

Description of Work: We had a heat pump and furnace installed. We had three bids and chose them because we felt we would get a quality system at a fair price. We have had it a little over a year now and are very happy with it. They do quality work.

Description of Work: The last service was filter change and inspection which is included with purchase every 6 months. The original installation of 96% Heat pump and gas furnace ++ was February 2014. I was impressed with there installation and prompt friendly manner. The salesperson said we would save on average 25% over our utility bills and that is correct and then some. The sales end was odd but all being considered, the product and installation part made us very happy customers.
