I called his office during the beginning of May. I was hoping he would build a rock fire pit for us. His office staff said he had built them before and raved about how beautiful the work is that he has done. However, it took me a couple of calls over three days before he would return my call. When he finally did call back he said he was booked into October, implying he was too busy to take on more work. I asked if he could recommend anyone else but he couldn't give me any potential referrals.

As stated in my description of what the provider did, everything went great. The final product was great. They worked quickly. They listened to our needs. The price was right. I highly recommend this company and I usually don't take the time to fill out reviews on Angies List.

The workers were great. We had to wait awhile because they were busy, but they communicated with us and once they started the work it went very fast. They built 120 feet wall and its 3 feet high in some places and 5 feet high in other places. They cleaned the area up beautifully and cleaned up other things that they found. They did a great job cleaning up. They were prompt in responding and courteous. The owner came out when they were finished and walked us through the project and made sure we were happy.

John and his crew were great. All appointments were kept and work was started in a timely manner. They were here everyday until the job was done. Any alterations we wanted were handled and the results look great. I have lost track of how many compliments we have received on the finished result. We would not hesitate to hire this company again.

They did an excellent job. Their prices were reasonable and they were very accommodating. John and his crew showed up on time and were able to foresee and perform extra things we needed including a drip system, removal of old landscaping rocks and installation of new rock in those locations. They work hard and have the equipment to do the job properly and on time.

John showed up on time for all meetings and started the job on the agreed upon date. Job was finished on time and on budget. Good communication throughout the project. Quality of work is excellent and as expected based on the portfolio we were shown. We got four bids for the project. AJ's Landscape was the second lowest. We are planning on using them in the future and would not hesitate to recommend them.

They did an excellent job, their prices were fair, they were very accommodating, showed up on time, were able to foresee and implement extra things I needed, I.E. drains and outlets and were very hard working.

We?ve used John Van't Hoff of AJ's Landscaping & Rockeries on several occasions over the years. On this project, he and his helper removed a concrete paver walkway from around our house and replaced it with flat rocks averaging about 3?x5?. They also completely pulled up and replaced an existing patio done with large stones to level it. Further, they removed our back deck, rebuilt it, added a second set of steps to the garden, and covered it all with multi-color 16?x16? tumbled slate.

John and his crew removed a water damaged deck, rebuilt the frame, repaired damaged house trim, and built a tumbled slate deck and stair. They matched the tile color and pattern to that existing inside the house. They then added a flagstone walkway around the house and reworked our patio. They also removed a tree stump left after ice brought down a tree this winter. They repaired damage done to our sprinkler system and ornamental lighting. They also replanted a new tree. In all, John and his men can handle virtually anything handed to them. As an aside, after seeing John?s work for us, our homeowners? association hired John to clear our private roads of snow and ice, work he has performed over the last two winters.
