Roof has consistently leaked every time it rains since original installation in August of 2013. After nearly 3 years of fighting with Dave Petitt (owner), we filed a lawsuit in Okanogan County Superior Court. Final judgement rendered on March 21st 2017. Findings are as follows: 1) Defendant breached the duty by failing, even after multiple attempts, to provide a leak free roof. Said breach continues today. 2) The leaks were caused by defendant and/or his employees' failure to properly install the new roof. The Court need not, as a matter of law, identify a specific cause of any leaks since the problem speaks for itself: but for the defendant's faulty work, the leaks would not have occurred. Leaks began only after defendant's work and there is nothing to suggest any other causation by anything or anyone else. 3) Plaintiff incurred damages as a result of the defendant's breach of his contractual duties. 4) The defendant negligently violated the contract by not providing a final leak-free product. 5) Plaintiff's damages include the contract price of $9,470.00 plus repairs for water damage in both bathrooms. Repairs for the bathrooms are reasonably estimated at $5,188.80. 6) A preponderance of evidence supports plaintiff's claim for negligent breach of contract. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE CUSTOM BUILDING SERVICES LLC, or DAVE PETITT FOR ANY REPAIR OR CONSTRUCTION, or you will find yourself in a four year long legal battle. In the end we won, but we'd not wish this mess on our worst enemy.

The removal of the existing roof took a day. No sheeting needed to be replaced. It took two weeks to install the new roof due to poor ordering of materials. During that time the bathroom vent was pushed down into the house. They finished on August 9th. The first time it rained the roof leaked in both bathrooms through the vents. These are places where there was previously no leakage, and it has leaked ever since. The main bathroom is rendered unusable when it's raining, due to the fan/vent being directly over the toilet, which then drips on you. We've called over 30 times and someone has showed up 6 times usually a laborer with a caulk gun. During installation this contractor used adhesive on the seams of the panels so they can't be removed without taking up the whole roof. We had new insulation installed in 2010, and are now very concerned that there could be mold or other damage to the insulation since it's now had 1 1/2 years of rainfall leaking into it.
Description of Work: Replacement of metal roof. This job started on July 24th. This was a 960sf roof. It was a simple roof. The removal of the existing roof took a day. They had no dumpster, and just threw everything all over the yard. I couldn't let my dog out for fear he would step on staples, nails, or sharp pieces of metal.
