+ 0 moreHis crew arrived on time and created beautiful walking trails that were lined with the fallen trees. They also mowed the waking trails that meander through out my property. My dog really enjoys this new setup since I live on a fairly busy road. Eli has an extensive forestry back ground. He has great respect for the land and was able to bring out the best.
Description of Work: I just moved to Anacortes and my 5 acre property was naturally wooded with many trees that were on the ground. Eli came out and walked the property and made appropriate suggestions for a more usable and enjoyable natural landscape.

+ 0 moreOnce I called them, they came and looked at the job right away. The guy was here and did the work when he said he would. They responded to my call at once and they did the job when they got here.
Description of Work: I used the services of Pioneer Tree Service and Landscaping. They dug a deep for me because I needed to put a gas line in. They are coming tomorrow for a tree service work.

+ 2 moreWe were thrilled with the job they did on each job. All jobs were completed in time estimated, very clean and neat and prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be using them again in the future.
Description of Work: They have completed three significant jobs for us. The first and largest job was is Aug 2008. The took out an existing tiered retaining wall on a very steep slope beside our house and replaced it with a slope of riprap rock. This was a major job involving two back hoe's. The did a wonderful job and at our request arranged the rocks along one path to form stair steps. We also had them add a wood railing. Three years later the installed more matching railing along our sloping driveway. A couple of years ago they also trimmed and topped our 40 foot tall evergreens near power lines.

+ 3 moreSo far so good towards completing the project. They've got one side of the yard done (retaining wall) and have already dug out the back fence line......
Description of Work: Once again I turn to Pioneer Tree and Landscaping! We needed the backyard leveled, a retaining wall built around the backyard and a fence. I called other companies here in our area and was quite disappointed with those results. One never called me back, one cancelled the appointment and never rescheduled, one came out did all the measurements and never got me an estimate. So I called Pioneer Tree and discovered they do fencing and retaining walls as well! The owner, Dave, scheduled an appointment, was on time and we did the measurements and figured out what needed to be done to the backyard. He promptly got me an estimate for the entire project and then broke it down for me into sections so I could see how much the retaining wall cost, the fencing, leveling and then trucking in topsoil and sod. As usual exemplary work is being done in my backyard. This is an ongoing process and should be done probably within the next couple weeks (weather permitting here in the PNW).

+ -1 moreAs you can see I wrote an earlier review of this company. Once again they have impressed me. I needed to have alot of pea gravel removed from my backyard. I called 3 companies for estimates. One was way low (I knew from experience I would probably be hit with a higher bill), one was a few hundred dollars more than what Dave from Pioneer quoted me, and Pioneer's quote. While talking with Dave we discussed other things we needed to do around the house (the gutters, leveling the backyard, building a retaining wall and a fence, and designing the landscape) I was surprised to find that they do all of these things. I had no idea they were so versatile! Ever the professional, wrote me a quote and they stand behind their work. I know they won't be sending me any surprise bills, if anything the price will drop if they complete it under budget. I highly recommend this company!
Description of Work: Estimate for Pea Gravel removal. The area is easily 30' x 30' with 6" deep pea gravel across the area.

+ -1 moreThey did a fantastic job! They were quick, cleared the site, leveled everything, and had it installed in two days. It was quite a feat since we live on a rock. I had to make sure it was installed immediately so that the construction wouldn't impose on my business, and they certainly worked quickly to meet my needs. They are very professional and even wore special shoe covers so they wouldn't track any dirt in my house. They came on time every day and cleaned up everything afterwards, I was very impressed with them and I would highly recommend them!
Description of Work: They installed our Dream Turf and come out regularly to maintain it.
