+ -1 moreThe cost listed is the deposit that we paid before the work was started. I've sent him registered letters letting him know about equipment that was left at our house and have heard nothing in return, in fact the letters came back. I think this young man was in over his head. The herringbone got off track in the center of the fireplace and he couldn't get it corrected, I'm assuming if he were doing a regular fireplace he would be fine. He needs to communicate better and be more professional in general. I would not recommend this company for herringbone fireplaces.
Description of Work: We're building a new house and this company was putting in a herringbone fireplace for us. They ended up walking off the job before it was finished. I had to have another company come out to finish their work and they noticed the way A&G Masonry built the fireplace was incorrect. If we would have burnt wood in it the house would have burnt down. The new company we hired was able to correct the problem. We paid others $7000 to fix the damages A&G left (that includes a $900 heating bill due to the hole in the side of our house). Our house is now two months off schedule, which is time we can't get back. We're paying for our items to be storaged among other things so there are endless ways this job is costing us.
