First, Darryl took the time to explain a good process for me to do to pick my color. I wanted gray, which is actually a really tricky color, and he walked me through the process. I tried about 7 different grays, I ended up truly finding the perfect gray (and not the one I thought I would originally want), and LOVE the result. We used regular ceiling white for the ceilings.
Darryl worked hard to pull together a team to paint quickly and exactly within our time constraints which were very tight. Additionally, we had just had the hardwood floors redone and he took extra special care to make sure he tarped everything so as to avoid any spillage or damage. He was conscientious, explained everything really well, and detail oriented.
On top of all that, my hardwood floor refinisher (not Darryl/KJ Painting!) took off all our baseboards before refinishing without asking me! While the hardwood floor guys did it back on you could still see exactly where the nails went in. They did this about 2 days before Darryl started painting. Well, Darryl was SO NICE he went ahead and painted those baseboards with the extra paint we had laying around and he didn't even charge extra! I was just SO appreciative of that!!! What a lifesaver!
As for the gray paint - the end result was fantastic. The lines were nice and clean and he did a great job of putting back up the window treatments, outlet covers, etc - little things that sometimes people cut corners on. Darryl is super conscientious, a great communicator, and really good at what he does. I would use him again in a heartbeat.
