The job went well at first but discovered a number of places where an inexperienced worker damaged the joists, requiring significant repairs. Later when the main shutoff breaker failed (lifetime warranty on the parts) they wouldn't help get the part or fix it. Now I've discovered that three recessed fixtures that I hadn't installed a bulb in were in fact either defective or damaged during installation, leaving unprotected cut wires and the thermal cutoff switch dangling loose. Naturally I thought they would be willing to help repair this latent defect, a fire hazard. After putting me off for quite a while I was told they weren't going to do anything about, even after I wrote a letter explaining the situation. They didn't ask for more money either time, they just weren't interested in providing any sort of follow thruogh.

In a word: GREAT. Paul arrived within 10 minutes of placing the service call. He was professional, very knowledgeable and helpful, especially in locating parts that had been "discontinued" and unavailable from normal sources, including the manufacturer. Follow-up work (waiting for parts to arrive) was completed promptly; he arrived exactly on time. After getting positively nowhere with other local electricians ("Leave a message...I'll get back to you." - NONE ever did), it was a pleasure working with someone who understands the importance of Customer Service.

Great! He came out one day. He actually looked at what the job required (10 - 20 minutes with no charge). He had to order a part (it was very unusual), but came back 2 days later and fixed the problem in about 30 minutes. His charge was $166. The compares to another estimate (they charged $64 for the estimate and didn't spend the 10 minutes to evaluate the true nature of the job. Their estimate was over $400. The only negative is that he does have a somewhat heavy accent. He was difficult to understand over the phone, but in person there was no problem. I'd highly recommend him for value/professionalism.
