In regards to both service calls the techs were very courteous about wearing booties when they came into my home, they worked continuously even when I offered them pizza they waited until all work had been completed before eating and said thanks for the food. Both techs were polite and quick to communicate with me on any issues or concerns they had while doing the upgrades. Obviously since I hired them a 2nd time to wire my hot tub I was very impressed with their work and professionalism. Prior to hiring Sea Town I did speak with 3 other companies and was impressed with Sea Towns reputation on Angie's list and the people I had contact with. Even though Sea Town was the more expensive option as I could have saved money going with another company I believe it was worth having them do the work. I would consider them for any future electrical work that I might need done in the future.
Description of Work: My house was built back in the 40s with very old electrical panel box located in the kitchen area and still on the older 100 amp service. I hired Seatown Electric to relocated my main panel and sub panel box into back bedroom area of my home, they installed a new surge protection electric panel, rerouted all current connections to new box, they installed new power meter box in order to also upgrade my power service to currently 200 amp service. Also as part of the original work they wired in an outside inlet for me to connect my generator to the house power as backup incase of power outage. During the work they discovered my water heater was only wired for 20amps and it required 30 amp service. At additional $700 cost they rewired it after recommending replacing this wiring or put in 20amp breaker to avoid possible fire hazard. Additionally I had purchased a hot tub that was going to be delivered several weeks later so booked a return apt to have same electrician to come back to wire in a cutoff for my hot tub, which this work was just done a few days ago.

The 2 technicians were courteous and knowledgeable. They took the cover plate of the heater off and were looking at the wiring. They found a small reset button and pushed it. The heaters started working again. They showed me what to do if the heater tripped again. They also gave me an estimate on a replacement heater, in case I want to do that. The heater has been working since their visit. The deal was purchase through Angie's List, for a service call plus the repair of one electrical problem. We joked around that it was probably the easiest repair that they have done.
Description of Work: A small in-wall heater in the bath room stopped working. Needed repair or replace.

Day of service, they called to ask if early arrival was ok. The electrician went about his work, cleaned up, and finished quickly.
Description of Work: Purchased Big Deal which covered install of an electrical outlet and review of another issue. They did a great job in ensuring I got scheduled, sent reminders, and even called to see if i wanted to fill an earlier time slot. I wanted to have an additional outlet installed but stand alone price was too high, would have liked to get done while he was onsite. A future service was also quoted at a more reasonable price for security light install.

They did a great job. They didn't have correct dimmers for a couple different switches so they found them, left to purchase them then came back to install them. I appreciated that they were able to do all switches on the same day.

Matt oversaw the project and did a fantastic job. As with any major project like a rewire there were minor variances and obstacles as we found out how the house was laid out. Matt was very communicative and transparent about what could and could not be done, the ramifications in terms of demo/future renovation, and also the costs. It was also very easy to work with him and his team in figuring out where all the lights, switches, and runs needed to go. The team was very professional, fast, and cleaned very well after themselves. It was a pleasure working with the Seatown team - we were concerned about the disruptions but the whole process was very smooth - can highly recommend Seatown!
Description of Work: Seatown was hired to do a complete rewire of our 1901 house including removal of knob and tube and new wiring for attic and basement. They also replaced all the lightning fixtures, the main power panel, and the main electric service from the street.

All went great from contacting Seatown through all installation-workers completely competent & courteous.
