Seatown Electric Plumbing Heating & Air

This was a "find the loose wire" challenge. These outlets were on a circuit that when wired in the '80's was done incorrectly, so it had a "hot neutral", and somewhere a line had come loose. To make it more fun, we are the 5th owner of this house, 2 were DIY-ers, and the small room where this was going on had been remodeled, so had 2 different circuits in the outlets. And THEN, all the neutrals for 3 circuits (but not the 2nd circuit in the room) were bundled behind my fridge. So, there was a puzzle. Not only was the team that was sent out up to the job, they were able to explain what they were finding (see above explanation), and why they now needed to pull out the bookcase, my pan drawers, my fridge! Not only did they get everything fixed, and put it all back together, they did a little bit of extra fixing to separate inappropriately bundled wires that had caused/could cause future problems. They also did a great job of cleaning up! Oh - and they arrived at the start of their window, and made sure everything was back up and working and all put back together.

Matt came in time, called me prior to arrival. Very professional, saw the problem, went to buy proper breaker to a nearby store, came back and installed new breaker. checked everything and left Explained to me in detail the problem and the fix. Very happy with Matt and Seatown electric. Someone from the office called me today to follow up and made sure everything was now working properly.

SeaTown Electric decline to offer the service.

I was told there is a $39 "dispatch fee" just to come out and give me an estimate AND that this fee is NOT credited if they do the work. Yes, I realize their time is important but essentially they are charging $39 to give me an estimate -- and I was told that they would need to do this even for install/replacement of the bathroom fan! I am somewhat surprised that this company has such a high rating on Angie's List. Perhaps their work is great but I have a philosophical problem paying money just to get an estimate, especially when that money isn't credited to me if I go with them to do the work. It sounds too scammy for me. What a shame.

They were an absolute joy to work with, and did their work around us as we worked from home. They also put in some new fixtures and new outlets. There was one interruption of work due to squirrels in the attic, but once that was resolved they were back within a reasonable time.

We are 100% satisfied with the work that was done. The lead technician doing the work (Zack) was a consummate professional. This was a six day job with lots of exacting and detailed work. Zack made sure all of the work was done properly, up to code, and up to our standards. Although some drywall had to be opened up for access to wiring, the team never left a speck of dust anywhere. Seatown are absolute experts on replacing knob and tube. My highest recommendation.

Two electricians came out on a Saturday and installed the box. They arrived early and completed the job in about 6 hours. The installed the box, grounded everything, ran copper wire around the house, and labeled all the circuit breakers. The city inspector was very pleased with the work they did.

Technician was very competent, and gave us good advice.

2.0 star rating 10/20/2017 Seatown Electric provides good electricians, but boy are they EXPENSIVE. They wanted a $250 diagnostic fee to look at a small broken wall heater that they installed a year before for over $1000. They also charged me $120 to cut down an unused hot tub cord, which literally took them 30 seconds to do. They provide good electricians, but I've felt gouged every time I've used them.

They had not communicated completely with the estimator. They had forgotten the part that the estimator asked me if I had, I said no, he offered to have it brought my the workers. I paid for it. Then told me I would be getting a call back later from an office person to arrange delivery of it. That never happened. It went and spent a lot of time researching and ordering the part myself on Amazon. I then called their office and did get a very easy refund back to my credit card of the part. But it was pretty obvious to me their model is all on the front in. But for all the problems I've had they have been the best. Their prices are high. I'm willing to pay for that because of their availability in the insane real estate boom here in Seattle.

Just has I figured. smart business. Electrician is most likly bonused on sales also. He pointed out several things that need to be addressed, quoted me prices before I asked. Had to comeback to complete job. again, asked if I was interested. I said no, because its non-emergency work, and their price was very high. But he wasn't pushy. Only had to tell him No thanks, once. But this tells me what I said above. Which is smart business model. I respect that

I called them this morning right at 8am and was told someone would be in touch with me by noon and someone would be out to my house by 2pm. When I did not hear from anyone by 1:45 I called and was told that I never spoke with anyone this morning and they could not help me. Now I have to go with someone else and wait a day just so I can have a working kitchen again. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Great, fast service to troubleshoot & repair gardon lights. Provided options to fix house lighting & provided bids for under counter lighting. Set appt. for follow up work. Prompt, knowledgeable and helpful. Under counter lights exceeded expectations! Exterior lights working perfectly!! Matt killed it! Great service.

They arrived right when they said they would and even made an effort to squeeze me into their schedule a few weeks earlier than they said they could. They were fast, friendly, and helpful. The work was done extremely quickly and looks great.
