They were very thorough in their diagnosis of the problem to be sure of the cause. They explained what was needed and did the work quickly and efficiently. We discussed a larger project and they provided a swift response the same day with estimates for the future work. I prefer to hire services for their work, as opposed to choosing the lowest price as this has not always turned out so well. I will definitely use their services again because I know I will get top notch service and excellent work.

Staff members Thomas and Tyler were able to come earlier than scheduled, and I was happy about that. I had my new ceiling fan and kitchen light fixture ready for them. The fan installation involved going up into the attic to install a new box, cut the hole and then hang the fan. Everything went smoothly. My fan and kitchen light were installed in a very professional manner. Afterward, they cleaned thoroughly, including vacuuming the area. They had also used drop cloths under the fan. The service was very good. The price was high, but I imagine it was average for the tasks and Seattle area.

Fantastic! Seatown does an amazing job, not only on the electrical work they completed, but on customer service. From the initial inspection (which went above and beyond in explaining what was needed and how it would be done), the quote (which is based on the work done, not on how long it takes - so it never changed!), to the work completion and passed inspections - we always knew who was coming, when they would be there, and got a courtesy call when they were on the way. The team at SeaTown was polite, friendly, and took extreme care to leave everything the same way they found it (no mess). If we have anymore electrical work - we will definitely be back!
Description of Work: We had our electrical box updated, a dedicated line run for our washing machine, and new wiring run for a bathroom remodel (lighting, switches, new fan - upgrading wiring from Knob and Tube to current standards).

I initially couldn’t get an appointment after normal work hours (after 3pm) but these guys came through and did an estimate this morning (Saturday) so was able to get the estimate I needed. Bryan was on time and professional and having an iPad with photos of the expected items was helpful and he provided an on site quote for the work. We’re still getting estimates atm so will see how they match up in terms of price but happy with the experience so far.

Seatown Electric Heating and Air did an excellent job on a recent electrical project at my home, beginning at the very start with the estimator, Matt. Matt was personable and professional, and provided an estimate that came in right on target. He helped me choose the right solutions for my needs and the end result is wonderful. The Seatown team that completed the project was also exceptional--again, personal and professional, and the result was excellent. I highly recommend Kevin, Steve, Matt and Seatown!

All dealings with this company exceeded my expectations from the professionalism of the estimator and installation crew to the communications from the office. Each visit was preceded by a reminder email complete with pictures of who to expect. The installation itself took all day and the crew did an excellent job of completing the panel move from the main floor to the basement. They cleaned up all their work areas and took time to walk us through all the changes and the upcoming inspection process.

The saga began about 6 months prior to the panel replacement. I wanted to replace my existing 400-amp residential panel as its aluminum rails were beginning to pit, causing intermittent power fluctuations and some very unhappy devices. After receiving a few bids from electrical companies, I selected Seatown Electric as they had stellar customer ratings, free estimates, performed a thorough panel evaluation, and provided me excellent options and new panel materials for installation. The initial scope of the work was to replace the existing 400-amp panel in the garage with 2x 200-amp panels on the opposite (exterior) side of the wall. When Seatown tried to schedule the shutoff with the utility company (PSE), they were informed that the utility wanted to perform a site evaluation. Upon visiting the house and evaluating the existing panel configuration, PSE insisted on a different installation that replaced the existing 400-amp CT can as well as the panels. Seatown talked through the options with me and we revised the estimate to cover the changed scope of the work - it effectively doubled the original estimate from ~$6k to ~$12k, but it was a reasonable change given the new effort required. At that point, we scheduled the installation and PSE indicated they were fine with the new plan; we thought we were good to go. The installation day came and, when Seatown called PSE to verify we were on their shutoff schedule the day before, we found that the project engineer we had coordinated with was on vacation and they had not placed us on the schedule as they had indicated. As a result, a new project engineer was assigned and wanted to perform a site visit with a meter technician and we cancelled the installation appointment. The new PSE project engineer provided a new scenario: conversion to a 320-amp service (still two panels), installation of a new meter, and relocation of both the meter and the panels to the side of my garage (about 40 feet away, around the corner of my garage). The PSE project engineer indicated that the power lines ran right by that side of my garage and that we would be able to intercept the line there for the new meter and panels. After discussing options with Seatown and PSE, we moved forward with this plan; the week before installation, PSE dispatched a crew to perform a "locate" on the electrical lines and they drew a large red square around the target area. Pleasantly, the estimate from Seatown was unchanged. The installation day arrived once more and the Seatown crew appeared right on time and began digging to the utility line, running electrical lines, and mounting the new panels and meter. After about 3 hours, the Seatown crew dug out the electrical line area down to about 5 feet and found no service line to the house. As they were unable to reach the PSE project manager, they finished installing the panels on the walls and suspended the installation (leaving me with power, nicely). Seatown was in contact with PSE several times over the next few weeks. During each of these contacts, PSE insisted the power lines were there and that Seatown simply needed to dig further. Seatown sent out members of their crew for two weekends to continue digging for the electrical service lines - the end result was a 3' x 4' x 6' hole and no electrical service. At this point, PSE insisted that the line was there and that it was possibly just under the fence into my neighbor's yard. Obtaining permission from the neighbors, Seatown consequently scheduled another "locate" with the expectation that the PSE surveyors would find the line on the other side of the fence. This time, the "locate" crew traced the electrical service line and marked it as being on the opposite side of my house, traveling through my yard and across a street - despite their insistence, PSE wasn't even close. Once the Seatown electrician was able to see the traced path, it was clear that we would need to dig a trench from (effectively) the existing panel over to the new ones in order to up to code, run conduit, and connect to the new panels. At this point, the Seatown electrician and office staff were not interested in revising any estimates, but in customer satisfaction - there were no changes to my estimate. Instead, they dig the trench and prepared for the installation - in preparing, they located the service lines, too! :-) When the real installation day came, things progressed perfectly. The installation crew arrived right on schedule and completed their wiring preparation before turning off the power. The PSE meter technician signed off on the new meter and a few hours later, power was restored and the Seatown crew was moving through the house to identify which outlets matched their respective breakers and to verify that everything was receiving power. It took an hour or two to identify all the breaker-to-outlet mappings, but everything was installed and working perfectly. In the end, the work Seatown performed was: * Installation of a new meter * Installation of 2x 200-amp panels (copper busses with Eaton whole-house surge protection) * Trenching of ~40 feet * Installation of conduit within the trench * Connection of the existing electrical service to the new panels and meter * Installation of two Sense home energy monitors (I provided and they installed while they were there at no extra charge) * Ran all wires from the existing panel to the new panel locations * Mapped all home outlets to breakers and verified the outlets functioned properly * Scheduled city inspections * Filled in the trench For as involved as this project was, I couldn't be happier with the result and with the commitment to customer satisfaction Seatown demonstrated. I was astounded at how complicated and comically-problematic the entire process had become - I was a bit concerned that Seatown would decide this wasn't worth the trouble - but they very happily stuck with me, staying in contact and working through each problem as it came along. As Aaron (the lead electrician who managed to stay in good spirits) had noted: they always get one or two projects a year that get more complicated, but this one took the cake. They stuck with me and did not increase the price or even ask to create a new estimate - they absorbed the changing requirements (and likely cost increases with trenching) and clearly demonstrated they wanted to (as Aaron said) "do right by the customer." I was absolutely, completely impressed with the professionalism of Aaron, his installation crews, and the office staff - they were all very helpful and communicative throughout this entire process and put a lot of effort into working around my schedule and completing the project. The resulting panels and meter are very impressive and beautifully-organized. It's a stark contrast to the old panel they replaced. When the city inspector examined the trench work and electrical panels, he was very impressed as well at the clean and detail-oriented installation. I know that I now feel very confident in the electrical safety of my home: not only do I have top-notch hardware, but the installation was carried out flawlessly and in a perfectly code-compliant way. I'll definitely be calling Seatown for any of my electrical needs, and I heartily recommend them to anybody looking to have quality electrical work done. They stand by their customers through thick and thin, and I was definitely there when things got pretty darn far down the "thin" side. ;-) There's definitely a reason they're highly-rated, and that high rating is both well-deserved and reflected in their work.

Wonderfully! We were so impressed by both Zack and Tyler’s level of professionalism, conscientiousness, hard work and upbeat attitudes. We had contacted a couple of other electrical companies and they were squirrelly about replacing old knob and tube wiring with an updated system, but Seatown knew exactly what they were doing, answered any and all questions and were clear and informative every step of the way. Zack and Tyler were most definitely focused and committed to getting the job done right. They cleaned up as they went along, were unobtrusive and our home now has a perfect electrical system installed in exactly the amount of time promised. The level of customer service was some of the best that we have ever experienced. We would highly recommend this company to anyone, confident that they will be well pleased with their quality of work, amazing technicians and dedication to their customers. A company with integrity in a time when that is hard to find! Thank you for everything, Zack and Taylor!

Ecstatic with Seatown's work!! We received bids from several companies for this project. Seatown's strong reviews on Angie's List, coupled with their competitive and transparent estimate, made the decision a no-brainer. Scheduling was a breeze and the Seatown crew of Blake, Steven, and Cody got to work modernizing our home in the spring of 2018. The scope of work included a new furnace and heat pump; adding 25 recessed lights; wiring power to the outside for sconces and floodlights; moving and adding outlets throughout the home, and adding whole-home surge protection. During the project, Blake would check in regularly to make sure we were on the same page. He did not leave any details to chance, and it shows in the fit and finish of each light he and Steven installed. We had been forewarned of significant drywall repairs given that many of the recessed lights would be installed in vaulted ceilings where access is limited. Ingeniously, Blake and Steven found a way to shimmy between the joists and rafters and install the lights without damaging the ceiling, saving us hundreds in drywall repair costs. Cody, who oversaw the heat pump installation, brought a ton of experience working with the city, allowing us to optimize the placement of the heat pump to minimize noise while complying with Seattle's codes. For future projects, we would hire Seatown again without hesitation.

Mitchell and Taylor were professional knowledgeable and fun to chat with while they worked. Asssembled and installed fans. Went over features of the fans which was helpful to not have to dig through the manual to find things. . Checked stove plug in to make sure it was putting out proper voltage as we had been getting a faint beeping alarm. It probably needs to be replaced but glad to hear no issues with our electrical.
