My 20+ yr old water heater failed, sending a stream of water thru my garage. After turning the gas off and draining the tank, I called Seatown based on a referral from Puget Sound Energy and their solid reviews here on Angi. Scheduled the appointment over the phone. Communication was smooth & easy. Received a text 2 hrs before arrival and then 30 minutes out. It included a photo & short bio of the plumber which I thought was a nice touch, both for safety reasons & ‘cause it’s nice to treat people like they’re not anonymous drones. Chris & apprentice Jeffrey arrived promptly. Gave me clear info on options & prices, I approved the bid and they set to work installing a new 50 gal, natural gas powered Bradford White tank storage water heater. I opted for the model with the 10 yr warranty rather than the 6. They were efficient, thorough and personable. Went above & beyond, re-routing a water line and repairing a janky exhaust vent that they thought the city inspector might not like. They even shop vaced the cobwebs from the space before installing the new tank, bless ‘em. Chris explained maintenance requirements, how to read the control panel & use emergency shut offs. Seatown takes care of city permits (my city requires one) which I appreciated. Work was begun around 11 & I had hot water by 3:30. Payment was due upon completion and I got a senior discount. Price was competitive with other companies’. They hauled away the old tank and all packing materials and left a very clean worksite. All in all, a good product, well delivered.

After sending out requests to multiple electrician contacting online sites (Angi, etc.), we chose Seatown based on two factors that were important to us: 1) competitive hourly rate; 2) resources. The latter was a paticular critical concern since our elecrical problem incident had resulted in an extension cord being seperated from its plug (minor explosion followed by a spark and smoke) during plug into the wall socket, resulting in the circuit going partial "dead". Consequently, we had concerns that a complex issue may be involved. Seatown initally scheduled us for the next day; however, an electrician became available a couple of hours later and they were able to respond at that time (thank you Brenda). Our problem was resolved after the technician, Gage, check the system, electric panel box, and wall plug-ins on the impacted circuit, and we were back to "full power' within a couple of hours. Gage replaced a 35 year old breaker that was part of the issue. Addiionally, we had him check an outside outlet that would occasionally trip the GFI switch. The outside outlet was part of the GFI system for our three bathrooms. Turns out that due to bathroom remodels a few years ago, that paticulair line was near its maximum load, thus causing the GFI trip if anything above a certain out put was plugged in and operated. It shouldn't present a problem going forward now that we know the load limits. We found the total invoice cost fair and market driven; and Gage not only explained the issue(s) but made sure we actually understood in non-electrical terms. Overall a very pleasent, profession exsperience.

I hired these folks because I had a slow drain. They sent a guy out who snaked the drain, which seemed to solve the problem, at first. However, a few weeks later, water started flowing out of my walls. The guy snaking the drain had managed to put holes every few inches in the drain pipe, over a thirty foot run of it, and water was running into the wall until it finally soaked through the plaster. Fixing the damage their man did cost $4500, on top of the $250 I'd paid to have the drain snaked. They would not give any refund on this work, because I have an old house with old pipes, as they kept reminding me. That is true, but they weren't leaking pipes with multiple breakages in the pipes until Seatown worked on them. I was also out about $5000 for the cutting open of my walls to replace the drain line, and then repairing the wall after the replacement was done. They take no responsibility for their own mistakes, and if something goes wrong you're screwed.

The Seatown team was amazing! From the initial sewer scope and estimate to the final project details, they were professional, efficient, and friendly. I am very impressed with how careful they were with my home. I felt like they took real pride in both their work and their customer service. I plan on using them in the future for more projects on this old home!

Avoid Seatown like a plague and save yourself msjor grief and basic customer support issues. Spent $6k on a project … almost turned into legal dispute. Signed/accepted contract from Seatown done by another Seatown employee was not being honored by estimator with major attitude: “she is just a scheduler…”, he said. Any court of law or customer should see an obvious signed legal contract, except this headstrong estimator did not harassing customers and inviting legal action. With fozens of electricians, wonder how Seatown can stay in business with employee attitude like this towards customers paying top $$$. Avoid this business till attitude gets adjusted or disciplinary action taken with employees harassing customers

Anthony did an awesome job fixing the hose in the sink. He was also super thoughtful and while running the water to test the seal on the drain, he washed some pots and pans that had accumulated while the sink was out of order!!

Simple drain cleanout that I simply didn't have the equipment to handle: they arrived, assessed the situation, made quick work of it, double-checked everything, and left the place spotless. Wholly courteous and professional.

I had to pay $50 just to get a technician to walk in the door. Once here, he told me it would be $295 to diagnose the issue. Neither of these amounts would be applied to the final solution?! He also told me their billing rates are $500/hour! We said no thank you but are still out $50 for the Seatown tech to just walk through the door.

We hired SeaTown to replace a leaking shower. Other plumbing companies told us that we would have to tear out the entire wall of the shower because of the old fixtures. SeaTown came out, gave us an estimate and worked with us to find a solution that fit our budget. They were punctual, professional, friendly and honest. They completed the job in less than the estimated time and did quality work. We would definitely hire them again.

Seatown did mostly a good job I suppose installing a new gas burning high efficiency furnace. When the salesperson was providing their initial consultation, they pointed out that our existing thermostat would have to be replaced and the 3-wire thermostat wire would need to be upgraded to 8-wire for the high efficiency furnace. They were going to charge me some exorbitant fee to pull the new wire through 5 feet of wall. When I questioned it, they knocked it down to $500. I told them I'd buy new wire and pull it through myself before they showed up. Needless to say I was pleased to find out that the technician only used 3 of the wires anyway so that attempted overcharge would have been for nothing? Also the technician very cleverly did NOT place the new thermostat on the wall such that it covered up the old hole in the wall so I had to move it after they left. I can't say I was too happy with the furnace exhaust pipe. First, they placed the exhaust pipe above our gas meter but the inspector didn't flag it so I guess there's no issue. Also they used non-paintable caulk to seal the exhaust pipe so that painting it to blend in with the siding was a bit of a problem. They also didn't provide any sort of screen for the exhaust pipe to keep animals from crawling in it. When I questioned that they said that the carbon monoxide would kill them. So their solution is to have a dead animal in our furnace exhaust? Not to mention that doesn't really work in the summer when the furnace isn't running. Other than those rookie mistakes I noticed, I'm sure everything else was done properly?

This was a big project involving multiple people, my main indoor crew was Chris, Dakota and Brady. ( Brian came one day) The primary outdoor crew was George and Isaac with Devon coming a couple times. There were many more staff and managers that participated as well. I apologize there are a couple names I don’t remember since I only met them once. Rhi was my main contact by telephone. I will first acknowledge that when any contractors are working at your home even under the best circumstances there’s typically a few things that are unexpected and minor damage comes with the territory I’ve learned over the years. Having gotten that out of the way I give Seatown a solid five stars!!! The crew respected my home and protected it as best they could during a large scope of work. I have used Seatown in the past and decided to use them for the scope of work this time even though they are not the cheapest… based on reviews from multiple websites including Angie’s List. They guarantee their labor for a lifetime. (Manager Clay Advised me on that)! WOW!! These guys are so professional, so patient and willing to do whatever they can to please the homeowner (while of course doing everything correctly and to code). If I wasn’t pleased with something -which didn’t happen often- they redid it until I was giving a thumbs up. I know long reviews can get cumbersome but I want to stress, The updates you get on your job by text and email, The way the guys protect your home and clean up every evening, The way the young guys are a testimony to their profession- i’ve honestly never come across such knowledgeable, detailed, professional young men in the trades. Seatown should be very proud of their apprentices !! Here’s an example of exemplary customer service : accidentally my irrigation system was broken during installation of new water service. I’d like to mention Isaac and Clay who didn’t stop updating me until the irrigation system was fixed and up and running beautifully. The guys often told me “if we damage something that’s on us and we will fix it.” They proved that even when mistakes happen they will make it right. I could tell you specific stories but I think if you’re reading this you just want to know if you should hire Seatown - YES, you absolutely should -with confidence!

I had a lot of work done… Sub panel, level 2 charger, light switches single, 3 way and smart switches… over 15 switches) and a home surge protection too. It took a day and a half and the two technicians who came (Brett Fetzer & Steven Marquardt) were great to interact with. I did my best to keep out of their hair while they were doing the installations. Both took the time to keep me informed about each of the installation projects when I asked. I was never left wondering as to how it was going. This is my second time using Seatown and will use them again in the future.

The Seatown team did a great job. I got quotes from 3 different recommended plumbing services, but the Seatown guys were the only ones who recognized we would need to upgrade our gas meter. They did a great job explaining how to get this scheduled with PSE. The estimate Seatown gave was on par with some of the other plumbers, so we went with them. They sent 2 service people to come and install the tankless and the guys were just excellent. I expressed concern about mounting the water heater on the beams in our basement because Our house is so old, so they came up with a better solution. They built a small wall frame to mount the water heater. No extra cost. When they found there was no outlet wired near the heater they were able to get an electrician from Seatown to come out and wire one up while they worked on the water heater install. Seatown aldo had a good scheduling method, sent text reminders the day they were coming to do the work with a photo of the person who was coming and a short set of info about the person. It was a nice touch, and a thoughtful safety measure. They did a great job with the install which took several hours. I’d definitely hire them again.

The install team sent was right on it. Did a solid job and left no mess. Price was at the top of the quotes but the thoroughness and attention to details during initial consult was far above the others (found rusted ducting in crawl space when others didn’t even look, etc) and why I chose Seatown.

They sent someone for a quote at a charge. Then they asked for a ridiculously high amount. I got it done for half the price they quoted. It’s a rip off.

Very disappointed with Seatown Electric. They replaced a switch and afterwards the lights stopped working and they then wanted $700 to bring in another circuit and all it was was a local circuit breaker on a transformer. THey also put in a light fixture and damaged the ceiling which I had to pay to get repaired. Their work is questionable
