I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and they did eventually get their work done. They came out three or four times to give estimates and lost one of the windows. They also had a changeover of about half of their staff that was let go while I was under contract with them. Eventually after calling and getting hold of the right person they did come out and replace the windows and do the rest of that. They were very apologetic. Three-quarters of the windows came in at the same time, but they lost one because it broke when it arrived. They installed two right away and then came back a couple of weeks later and fixed the ones that were not installed previously. The work, when it was finally done, was totally acceptable, but it was just that it took a while to get it done. They ended up giving me credit for the Big Deal I purchased.

[member name removed], We apologize about the delay of the final couple window install. It wasn't that we lost a window it was that it needed to be reordered because the glass had broken during shipping. We really appreciate your business and glad that you were very happy with the end result!

Well I originally had them out for a bathroom remodel and a new driveway. It turned into a lot more than that. I ended up adding the front porch because a new driveway and an old porch wouldn't look great together. Also added a retractable awning over my back deck. I ended up getting energy efficient foam backed vinyl siding so I don't have to paint anymore. I like the siding a lot. I had them do a bathroom remodel too and add in a walk-in tub. The tub was more money than I had anticipated but I suppose that's just me being old fashioned. The project took a few different crews because of the variety of improvements I did. All the crews were polite and clean. Even though I paid nearly $80,000 I feel that the price was very reasonable considering that I got so much done. Excellent value. Honest estimate.

We never agreed on the price so they didn’t do any work. I just didn’t like the price. They did pretty much what the contractor does. They came out looking for a job and gave me a price. I thanked them for their time. The price was ridiculous, way too much. Half of the work they quoted didn’t need to be done so I didn’t go with them. They quoted about 3 times what the job actually cost to have it done. The quoted about $6,000 but ended up costing me $2,200. We started talking about the stuff they would have to do and I said no and I am not interested in any of that. I didn’t need any of that stuff done. He told he had to do that in order to make a profit. I am not real impressed with those people. They would never do work for me. I don’t think he was trying to rip me off at all. I think sometimes they tend to take advantage of peoples lack of knowledge. I don’t need to have this stuff done and I will find somebody that will do what I want to do at the price I feel comfortable with. He said what he needed and I said what I needed and we went our separate ways. They were good on responsiveness. They came out when they said they would. I would not use them at all.

The deck you wanted done required permits and engineering to be code compliant. We were not willing to forgo that process in order to save money. When we build something we build it right and if permits and engineering are required then we take those steps. Sorry we weren't a good fit. Our goal is always quality and unfortunately sometimes that requires costing a little more.

The job was completed in 3 days. the first day they came out dug and placed forms. the second day they poured and stamped the back patio. and the third day Seahawk came and sealed up the concrete to make sure it will last. everything that was promised was delivered. They came in about the middle for pricing and we felt we got a very fair value for what we paid. when we can save up we will be doing our windows with Seahawk this springtime.

I was at first surprised seeing the name Seahawk Remodeling. I am a huge Hawks Fan! GO HAWKS. I thought the name was cool so I decided to pick up my phone and give them a call. We had already collected two other bids so we fairly knew what we wanted. The guys (Cameron and Nick) were out the next day and were right on time. They ended up coming in about $2500 under the two other bids we had on our 10 windows. They mentioned they are also a dealer for Sunsetter awnings. We added on a sunsetter for the back deck and we cant wait until the sun comes out so we can really enjoy it!

We first had Seahawk Remodeling out to look at our project because we heard from a friend that they don't just specialize in one thing, they do everything on the exterior of the home. We had a large project so we found it best for us to use one company for everything. Not only did we get a "volume Disc" for doing it all at once which saved us over $10,000 but we felt it was much easier to have them manage the whole project since they are the professionals. we had not done anything on the house in over 10 years so our goal was to make a big change. We did a 50 year GAF roofing product that turned out looking better than we thought. Before our deck was built the guys came out to pour the driveway and the back patio. When it was all settled they come out and installed the deck and the siding the next week. 2 weeks from start to finish and our house looks like a brand new house. We had family over for x mas and Seahawk Remodeling will be giving my parents a estimate on there windows in there home as well. We would recommend not only the products that they provided but also the excellent customer service

Results, not performed by company I hired; not installed as requested; not code compliant. That is why an overall F. When I called, they seemed friendly and said due to the response to the Offer, their concrete team was very busy and they would get back to me. I called back again and they came out on August 1st to look at the property. I noted that I had a party on September 21st and woudl like the work completed 7 days prior to the event. He (Cameron) said that he would not guarantee it but would work it into the schedule as soon as possible. It might be a week later than what i requested. After a month of no calls I called back and was told to call a persons cell phone that did not go through. A week later I called back an was told that I would be notified shortly of when it would be done. I called back a week later...Now 6 weeks after the initial site visit....and was told that the weather really held things up....It had been sunny a record number of days in Seattle that summer. Finally, I get a call in early October from a subcontractor that Seahawk remodeling hired that he would like to come out that week and do the work. Needless to say I was excited...but out of town and had to postpone it to the following week. it seems like it was the day before thanksgiving..... At any rate, the sub contractor performe the services when he said he would. The product. Well the exposed aggregate finish was fine. The edging and jointing were pretty standard and i took no objections to the conrete. However, the finished slab elevation along the house was 4 inches higher than requested. As a result, it violates building code, the slab touches the belly band on the exterior which will rot very quickly in Seattle climate. When I sell the house it will be flagged as a code violation by the home inspector. I know because I have had to deal with issues like this before. In summary: |Price was good if cone correctly - A |Quality of work (finishes) was ok - B |Responsivess was not good - D |Punctuality- It was installed 5 months after puchase - D |Professionalism - No follow up. Nice to talk to. Did carry out the contract. Did not even ask if a sub could perform the work. - C
Description of Work: I purchased a package to demo and install up to 100 sf of slab on grade on July 9th.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It was okay. We had to wait almost 4 months for them to come but when they came, they did a nice job. It was a small job and they weren't that interested in it. They couldn't make that much extra money from it so it was at the bottom of their list. To their credit they did a nice job. They didn't ask for anything extra regarding the cost. They scheduled and then they didn't confirm and didn't come. The work was good.

Seahawk Remodeling LLC was contracted to demo an existing concrete patio and steps and pour a larger patio plus stairs and railing. The work was subcontracted out and not adequately supervised which resulted in the concrete pour not being completed properly. The form built for the stairs was not strong enough and flexed outward resulting in stairs that are not straight, the ground was not excavated deep enough to allow for sufficient room for the concrete pour which resulted in partial encasement of the siding near the steps this in itself I don't believe is against code but there is insufficient slope in this region on the surface to shed water properly. Now water can collect against the house and will result in damage in the long term. The contractors also damaged the surface before it had properly set by walking on the concrete and left two boot prints. Seahawk remodeling tried to finish the job and install the railings without addressing my concerns on the job even after I brought it to the attention of the project managers. They claim they have been out multiple times to do work or resolve the situation but this is not true and now months after the job has been undone the company is trying to close out their books and has sent the accountant to collect and threaten a lien on my house or small claims court if I don't pay the remaining cost even though the contract was never completed.

Deal was $6500 but estimator verbal at least $11000. for 30 year and $14000. for 50 year.
Description of Work: Estimator on site could not provide actual square footage pricing even though they said they would arrive with footage from on-line "eagle view" service. They could not actually measure a roof when on site. The caller that made appointment said product was forever roof, then estimator said deal was only for 30 years unless we want to upgrade to more expensive 50 year tiles. Service would not happen until spring even though temp at estimate was raining and in upper 40s Estimator did not leave paperwork behind after visit. This was not what we ordered and we will be requesting a refund.

[member name removed] sorry we missed you at the appointment you scheduled. Obviously there is multiple issues that your husband wasn't able to convey to you... I did get the satellite image of your roof and it looks like you have exactly 26.3 squares of roofing. With everything that has changed in roofing products in the last 10 years even our 30 year roofs come standard with a lifetime warranty. This is due to the already high cost of roofing and especially the technology that has come about. That is a very large roof as you have a large home with a large garage out in Issaquah. I did speak with your husband and he agreed since you suddenly were not able to make it to the appointment that you scheduled that I would be willing to come out on Saturday to explain everything. I do appreciate you giving us a chance to put on a lifetime roof on your home and I do hope that you keep looking for exactly what you're looking for! Have a happy holidays [member name removed].

Company was responsive and punctual. Estimate was fair and included all work to be done. The actual installation of the siding was performed by the siding merchant, who works closely with Seahawk Remodeling. They did a good job and returned to make two minor adjustments at our request. In addition, they provided a small paint sample and a durable color chip should we need it for matching the siding later. The custom windows are great, although the initial order resulted in an error at the manufacturer and completion of the installation was delayed as a result. All in all, we are very pleased with the work and the quality of the materials.

The Seahawk boys Cameron and Nick came out within two days of calling them And brought out a very cool satellite image of our home for our roof estimate. The eagle view was $50 but well worth it! It showed me exactly how many sq ft of roofing we had and allowed us to make a educated decision on the spot. After going over a couple upgrade options we decided to go with a 50 yr roof over the timberline strictly because of the looks Once we found out they did windows as well we went ahead and decided it be best to seal the house up for winter. The guys were on time and responded to every question and concern along the way. Cameron and the install crew were very knowledgable. Would recommend to family and friends

After reading all the wonderful reviews about this company I called and requested a consultation for a new roof and my two big living room windows. I was apprehensive because I had another bid with a pushy company who wouldn't leave my house for nearly 3 hours. When the gentleman Nick Upton showed up he was polite, courteous, and we actually had a good time throughout this process. We went through a few different samples and price points and he showed me a lot of different options. We decided it would be best if I replaced my gutters and my skylights at the same time. I also had Seahawk replace 2 big windows in my living room that had lost their seal. In the end, the price was lower than my previous bid and I flat out liked this company better. The entire cost was 20,550. I agreed to the terms and signed my life away. I was told that they would start my project 4-6 weeks later. I got a call about 3 weeks later and they said they could start sooner than expected. When they showed up the crews were professional and clean. They made sure I was happy and informed the whole way through. At the end of the project they did a thorough cleaning and it was like they were never there. My house looks so much nicer with the new roof and I am glad I spent the money. The gutters work great and the skylights are much improved as well. I'm very thankful for angieslist because I feel I got a great value and now I know a great contractor.

After reading the reviews online from Angie's List, we decided to have Seahawk Remodeling to be our third and hopefully final estimate for our roof replacement project. After already having 2 other estimates we seemed pretty sure we wanted to go with a 50 year roof because of the warranty that could be provided. Within 2 weeks I had a new roof on my home. They showed up when they said they did and they worked in succession until the project was complete. From what I heard I believe a few of my neighbors are now getting bids to get there roof done and I am sure Seahawk will be in high demand with them after a job well done.

I first heard of the guys at Seahawk Remodeling from a friend I work with at Boeing. He told me that he had Cameron come out and do a window project on the front of his house. After much due diligence searching online I picked up my phone and called them. After I saw a small leak coming from my roof after the first big rain I knew it was time to get it done. I had been procrastinating long enough. I called the number and talked to Cameron. He was very knowledgeable and I let him know that I had a leak and I was getting several estimates to make sure I got the most bang for my buck. Two days later Cameron and Nick showed up at the house to measure my roof. After telling them I wanted to do my roof this year and my windows next spring they offered to take the time to measure the windows while they were here so I would know how much I could expect to pay next spring. After measuring everything up Cameron pulled out his Ipad and showed me some of the recent projects they had been working on as well as show me some nice roofing samples to help me choose what project would best fit in my budget. I decided that I didn't want to go with a standard 30 year roof that many of my neighbors had installed. The roof I chose was a lifetime GAF roof that had a superior warranty as well as looked much much better in my opinion. After really looking at my windows while the guys were measuring I could not help but think how badly I really wanted to change my cold metal windows out to make my home more comfortable this winter. The guys just happen to have a heat lamp in there trunk and showed me what the difference in efficiency between the double and triple pane windows. After seeing what a huge difference the windows would make in not only my energy bills but also the look and feel of my home, I decided I wanted to do the windows a little ahead of schedule. After it was all said and done I decided to do all the windows in my house as well as my roof. The windows I chose was the Ply-Gem Triple pane window that was the same window that the company Penguin Windows use to sell although I think Seahawk came in close to half of what I was quoted 3 years ago by Penguin Windows. I ended up paying after everything about $22,000 for the roofing system and $16,000 for the windows. I was very pleased with the professionalism that Cameron showed every step of the way and I would definitely recommend the Seahawk Boys to any friends and family. A++ Mary McCoy Everett Wa.

There was a bit of delaying in being able to connect with the provider for coupon purchased in July. Representative was out today to look at the job I wanted. I was looking for replacement of several sections of my concrete driveway. Representative suggested that they were really designed to do rip and replace entire driveway and individual sections would not be recommended. Replacement of the entire driveway was estimated to be $25,000 which I cannot consider at this time. Representative was very knowledgeable and courteous. I would consider them again in the future.

rather high, even considering the Big Deal. I got quotes from 3 other installers and proceeded to negotiate with Cameron. At one point, I even considered seeking a refund on my Big Deal from Angie's List and just go with another installer. After going back and forth over email about 3-4 times, we agreed on a deal that I judge to be fair (about $600 off from their original $3400 quote, before the $1000 from the Big Deal) - not the lowest nor highest among the quotes I got. I decided to stay with Seahawks given their good reviews on Angie's list and their claim of a better window product from Ply-Gem (over Milgard and others). Unlike Milgard, Ply-Gem can build my rather large and tall window without a middle cross bar, which make it look more open and grand. They claimed they are really busy, so the deal Cameron proposed and I reciprocated is to not actually do the installation until 8 weeks out from contract signing. Well, 8 weeks gone by and I have heard little from Seahawks on an installation date, so I sent a somewhat threatening email to Cameron and Nic with what I may do if my window doesn't get installed soon as agreed. That email resulted in a call from Cameron and a date the following Wednesday to do the job. Their crew showed up within the time window Cameron said and completed the installation in about 5 hours, working thru lunch. The new window looks great and from what I can tell, is a far superior window than the builder's grade Milgard that it replaced. As far as the installation job goes, my only wish would have been for Seahawks to paint and patch the areas around the window where it is now just caulking showing. Perhaps this is not normally done in a window install, since mixing/matching that small about of paint would be a quite a hassle. The west facing room the new window was installed in has never feel more comfortable. Before the new triple pane window, I had a 2 pane builder's special Milgard. This room was extra hot/cold depending on outside temps. I am very glad to have this done and am even thinking if my other windows should also be changed.
Description of Work: I bought the $1000 for $299 Big Deal for Seahawks Remodeling to install a triple pane window. They emailed me within a day after the purchase to schedule an in-home evaluation. There we a mix-up with the scheduler as Cameron showed up on the wrong day and left his card at the front door. He showed up again on the correct day and we spent about 2 hours talking about what we want done and he prepared the quotation right on the spot. His first quote was

A very frustrating experience. Very disappointed with the company despite all its excellent reviews. The company was to pour concrete (stained and stamped) for a backyard patio. Build a 21X10 deck off the stamped concrete patio and install a patio cover...all three aligning of each other. ALL three projects affected the other project. 1. First pour of cement for patio wad done. The quality of the stamped pattern was mediocre. Company did re-pour cement and re-do stamped pattern. Cement patio length was too long and affected the size of the deck. 2. Deck measurements were off. Notified company of measurements and was told it would be size as agreed on. This could have been fixed by cutting the cement and delaying the project longer. Customer chose not have project delayed any longer. 3. Width of Stairs of deck shortened from 4 to 3 feet for stairs to fit and stairs ended up on cement patio. 4. The Quality of deck built was excellent. Subcontractors who built deck had good attitudes despite all its complexities. 5. The deck, the cement patio and the patio cover; all three projects were not aligned. 6. Company did a good job cleaning up after completion of project. This company needs an onsite supervisor to tie all three projects together since each project's measurements affected the other project. I would not recommend this company for multiple projects. Always do your own measurements and hire subcontractors yourself. This is a young company still learning and with more experience and learning from its mistakes it will do better.

Hi, thank you for your review. I'm sorry we had some hiccups with your job. Yes the first pour of the concrete was mediocre, the concrete dried up on us pretty fast as we were stamping it. When I came out to check on the job I found it to be unsatisfactory as well, which is why a couple days later we completely demolished and repoured your patio. The finish on the second pour is perfect. When we realized the size of the concrete was going to affect the size of your deck we offered you two options, the first was to cut the concrete back to original specs and the other was to alter the specs on your new deck. You elected to alter the specs on your deck. We did encounter some speed bumps along the way but I believe we addressed every issue with professionalism. We strive for perfection on every job and I think the way we handle problems is whats most important. Your finished product came out phenomenal and in the end we also took $1,000 off of your bill for your inconvenience. Again, I apologize for the hiccups you experienced and I hope that you will consider us for your next project. -Nick Upton

I purchased a coupon for concrete work from Seahawk Remodeling on July 18, 2013. They came to my house to look at the job on July 24, 2013. They told me they offered the coupon hoping it would generate other work. I had them give me an estimate for a patio cover but I found it too expensive. They told me it would be 5-6 weeks before they could do my concrete job. I told them I would get the street use permit, which I did on August 30, 2013, just over 5 weeks after their initial visit. Based on what they told me I assumed they would soon be ready to do the job and I wanted to be prepared with the permit. I called them a week after getting the permit and told them I had it. They said they were still a couple weeks out on concrete work. The permit has a time limit and I told them it expired on October 11th. I called them again two weeks later to see when they were going to do the job and told them I needed to give the city of Seattle 48 hours notice before the work started. They said okay and they would be getting to my job soon. I called them September 26th, nine weeks after their initial visit. They told me they couldn't pour concrete because it was raining, which I know is true but was hoping to get some kind of schedule or reassurance from them that they would do the job as soon as possible. They thanked me for calling. I called them again Monday, September 30th because the forecast was for dry weather on Thursday and Friday, October 3-4. I asked Cameron if we could get the work done on Thursday since it was going to be dry. He said yes and that he would call me that afternoon or Tuesday morning to confirm it. I reminded him that I needed to give the city 48 hours notice, which would be Tuesday morning if the job was going to be done on Thursday. He said okay, he'd call me. He did not call me Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. I called him Tuesday morning and got his voice mail. I left him a message to remind him that I needed to give the city 48 hours notice and asked him to call me to let me know what was going on. An hour later I called his co-worker, Nick and left him a message. I told him that if they didn't want to do the work then I wanted them to refund my money so I could get someone else to do it before my permit expired. Neither one of them returned my call. In the afternoon I called Nick again using my cell phone (thinking they might be avoiding me when they saw the caller ID from my land line phone). I got Nick with my cell phone. He said they couldn't pour concrete in the rain. I told him I knew that but Cameron told me they would do the job on Thursday when it was dry and that Cameron had said he would call me no later than Tuesday morning. I told him I had left messages with both him and Cameron. He told me they were very busy and he hadn't checked his messages yet. He told me they were waiting for their concrete guys to call them back. I told him either one of them could have called me to let me know they were waiting to hear from their concrete guys, but instead they just left me in the dark and wondering what was going on. I told Nick they originally told me it would take 5-6 weeks and it was now 10 weeks and I wanted my money back so I could get someone else to do the job. He promised to send me a check right away for the money I gave them for taxes. I don't think they wanted to do the job in the first place since I didn't give them any additional work. After the initial visit they never called me once to let me know what was going on or to update me on their schedule. All I've gotten out of this transaction is frustration because they never did the job and they never communicated with me unless I called them. Now, before the permit expires, I have to find someone else to do the job at a higher price or lose the money I spent for the permit.

Unfortunately the rain came a little earlier than we expected this year and we got behind on our concrete jobs. Theres not much we can do to change the weather. We completely refunded you your money because you were unsatisfied with the scheduling. We will also compensate you for your permit money. Give me a call 425-367-8088 -Nick Upton

It went really well. It took longer than we had hoped for the special order door to come in, but the construction went very well. The workers were very respectful. For example, the workers thought ahead enough to ask if they could take down pictures from the wall just in case they might fall while hammering. The final project was solid and very well done. I would definately use them again.

No story - just a misunderstanding of the type of jobs that were included in the Big Deal. I was very impressed with the guys from Seahawk Remodeling - just not a fit.

Had a hard time getting a call back, but when I finally did and made appointment for an estimate to two men who came out were very nice and knowledgeable. However, once they told me what the true cost of even one window I realized the $299.00 for $1,000.00 worth of windows wasn't nearly enough to pay for that one window. I would have ended up paying approx $800.00 more for a single window. I can't afford that. I called and left a message for a refund. Didn't get a call back for two weeks, called again and got a call back right away to call Angie's List for refund. He apologized and said he had fired receptionist.

In all fairness I would like to point out that the window that you wanted to replace was a very large custom sized window. The window the you wanted us to replace it with was a top of the line triple pane window. The cost on these windows is very high. Our install cost on doing just one window is significantly more than when you do several. The drive time and set up time are the same whether you are doing one window or twenty. I hope this helps you to realize that our pricing is beyond fair. I apologize for any sticker shock you may have experienced on your high end custom window replacement.
