Description of Work: Today, a month after hearing 'maybe the wires are crossed', you must need a flow something and a regulator something, my tub heated up to 130 degrees. I called the manufacturer and they said it was not hooked up right so they are sending out someone to fix it for free since it has taken so long to get the new heater replacement completed.

Went smoothly. He works hard and was prompt and the only one who called me back! Needs to provide written estimate for job but the verbal estimate was what he said it would be.
Description of Work: Replaced heat pump on our hot tub. He is knowledgeable and identified the problem quickly. Definitely knows what he is doing. I also think he over charges for labor. The part was 100.00 and he was here less than an hour. Bill was 400.00. But I did not have anyone else to compare him too because no one else even responded! He is a little rough around the edges (X-army) but he warms up. He knew what he was doing and fixed it promptly. Agree he lacks people/business finesse but good at his trade. He's OK. I would use him again.

Puget Sound Spa was recommended by my spa manufacturer as an authorized service provider, so we selected Tony over the large, chain company figuring we'd get more personalized, better service and a better price from a small business owner. Boy were we wrong. Turns out he is a nasty and difficult person to deal with, and overcharges. He was very nice when we first spoke and promptly came out to assess our problem (burned out circuit board and heater). He quickly obtained a quote for us which appeared competitive for parts although his hourly labor rate is 40% above the average ($140 per hour vs. $100). When we spoke to make the appointment for him to install the new parts, he gave a 2-hour arrival window. I explained we work full-time and would have take time off from work and needed a shorter window. He gave me a hard time about this but eventually gave me a 30-minute window. After thinking about this uncomfortable conversation I called him back to cancel the job. Said I felt the relationship was already soured and didn't feel like he really cared about our business or would do a good job for us and I would go elsewhere. He immediately got very apologetic, profusely apologizing for his gruffness, explaining he had just spoken to his ex-wife about divorce matters and shouldn't have let his personal life interfere. Since he sounded sincere and I had voiced my concerns and he addressed them, we agreed to proceed. During the installation he was very hard to communicate with, talked down to us, and was generally ornery. He has no people skills and does not display any confidence or professionalism towards his customers. He also spent more time installing the parts than he estimated. Overall he is a disagreeable and unlikeable man and we just cross our fingers that he installed everything correctly. Oh, and he doesn't take credit cards because "its too easy to get scammed".
Description of Work: Replacement of hot tub circuit board, heater, sensors, and probes.
