My entire experience with Polar Bear has been absolutely fantastic! From my initial conversation with Roger to plan the replacement, through the logistics and designs with Joe, and ending with the actual siding removal and replacement with Josiah, the experience has been phenomenal. The removal of the old siding went right according to plan: old siding was removed, repairs were made to the underlying plywood walls (as needed), HardieWrap was placed on the exterior, and Hardie Board siding on top of that. Joe and Roger had set my expectations for any potential larger repairs they thought we might encounter along the way, so there was no stress that something unusual would throw them off schedule - the whole crew are experienced professionals that can deal with many situations. Pleasantly, we never needed to do more than minor repairs of very old plywood, but I was happy to know that we had lots of options as we went. Once the initial siding was off, it was a great opportunity for me to fix a few outdoor lighting issues; Josiah and the crew worked with me and my schedule so that I had an opportunity to address those tasks without blocking their progress. The installation of the new siding was simply amazing! Everything was done to perfection and with an incredible level of detail, expertise, and pride that shines through in the final product. Every light fixture, every outlet box, every edge, every corner, and every piece of trim were all meticulously and perfectly placed to give the house a clean, organized look that it never had before; it's truly a stunning difference, not only in appearance but in the quality and knowledge that the house is properly sealed from the elements. One particularly interesting challenge with my house was the new electrical panel set on the outside of the garage that we recently had installed. It was not an easy feature to incorporate into the new siding, but Josiah carefully "boxed" the panels and created not only a perfect seal around the boxes, but a veritable showcase display of the panels themselves that turned them from a normal necessity into an exterior highlight. This same level of attention to detail is evident over every square inch of our new siding: corners are squared and painted, lines are straight, flashing is cleanly applied, and exterior hardware (like gutter straps) were replaced with new, matching components. The quality of work I received is exactly what every home owner wants: the attention to detail and quality (materials and workmanship) applied to the project that homeowner themselves would put into the project, if they had the skills and time to do so. It truly exceeded my expectations in every way.

We had 2 sides of our house re-sided by this company. The quality of the install was excellent. The install crew was professional, punctual, and treated us respectfully and was attentive to details. My wife particularly appreciated the family-friendly language used by the crew, sensitive to those who may be in earshot of conversations, particularly young kids. This company previously installed our roof. Although prices are on the higher end, we appreciated the quality of work they produce. We did have some miscues on the sales and project management side, but was satisfied with their resolution.

Very well - Erick, Doug, and Chris were outstanding. Very professional - took me through each decision step by step as needed. Workmanship is excellent. Even "snowmegedon" didn't stop them. They adapted their workplan to the weather and only stopped when it was impossible to go on. I would highly recommend them.

We were really happy start to finish. Planning, building in a reasonable time frame. We were able to enjoy our new deck with friends and family over the holidays.

Aaron, Aaron and Brian installed 2 large windows for us back in September and did such a great job that we had them come back and install 2 more. Aaron really took time to make sure that everything looked great. He went the extra mile and put the trim the went with the house and not what was ordered which we would not have been happy with.

The window installers arrived exactly on time and quickly got to work. They kept busy all morning, and finished by late afternoon. They were not only professional, but were good about taking their boots off when walking through parts of the house without drop clothes, and they were especially kind to my young son. And the windows look fantastic!

Very, Very well. They were able to fit it in earlier than they had promised. They were on time each day & kept me informed of what they were doing and why they needed to do it. They did not leave until the job was all done - to the last nail on which to hang my Christmas wreath. They were business-like, but very pleasant. I would be Very happy to have Doug & his crew work on my house any time!

It took 3 weeks from my initial call for someone to come out. When Noa and Alex came today, they were excellent workers. I have a steep roof, but they were able to get up there and inspect the problem. The cap was dislodged and fell off three years ago when the new roof was put on by Polar Bear. At the time, the vent was covered by plastic sheeting and was supposed to be replaced. My neighbor recently saw that the sheeting had come off and water was getting into the attic. Noa and Alex nailed new sheeting over the opening. I hope that either a new cap will be installed, or the hole covered up with new roofing. The original roof installation was great.

I had several shingles blow off in the wind just before Christmas, including some along the ridge line of my garage where there is no attic - you could see daylight through the roof! I didn't go up on the roof and inspect but could only imagine what was happening in the part over my house. I called three different roofers to get bids. I learned that because of the age of my roof, repair was not an option, so knew I was looking at a replacement roof. One of the companies was not able to even come do an estimate until mid-January. The other gave me a ballpark amount which was a few thousand less than Polar Bear before even seeing the roof but said they wouldn't be able to schedule any work for over a month. When I called Polar Bear said they would have someone out the next day. And they did. Uryah provided a comprehensive estimate and options for materials. But the best part was that they could schedule the work right away. Wilson's crew was here right as scheduled, went to work and managed to complete everything in only two days. The crew worked quickly, efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and got it done much faster than I thought they could. It is a lot of money - honestly, much more than I had anticipated. But being able to get it done so soon and having the peace of mind that I had a solid roof done with quality materials and installation techniques made this seem like the right decision as opposed to waiting for the other companies to come back to work after the holidays or be able to schedule me. I just couldn't imagine having rain, snow, etc. plus more potential winds tearing away at my already failing old roof. I really appreciate the Polar Bear team's professionalism from sales, to install, to final inspection and clean-up. This thing will outlast me for sure! Plus it looks beautiful! Thanks so much!

Polar bear reps were very professional - they showed up when they said they would and finished on time. They cleaned after themselves and were very friendly. I would recommend them to my neighbors and friends.

Great company. I never felt pressured when the salesman (Palmer) came to our door, and my husband and I appreciated that they wanted both of us there to be on the same page and answer both our questions and concerns. Palmer was very informative on the siding products and what would work best for us and our house. Their scheduling department was also easy to work with and were flexible when I needed to push the start date unexpectedly. Once the project started, Doug, Eric and Chris did an excellent job keeping me informed on what was going on. Their work was excellent and very professional; any concerns or small changes that I needed, they made it work. The final product looks excellent and they completed it right on the estimated end date. I would recommend Polar Bear Energy Solutions to anyone looking for siding on their house.

Matt, Luke and Brian did a fantastic job and our new windows look amazing, even went out of their box and put in a dog door for us, our dogs actually!

12/14/18 Our Polar Bear Energy Solutions relationship… Don & Darlys Recker Ferndale WA Ever since buying our Ferndale house in 2010, we knew its cedar shake roof was in geriatric condition, so faced the daunting challenge to re-roof the house, a task we’ve never taken-on in our 51 years of marriage! I first became aware of Polar Bear via ads aired on KVI am radio, but didn’t give a Mukilteo-based company consideration since our home is located in Whatcom country, a dozen miles below the Canadian border. But when a young man brought Polar Bear’s flyer to our door, I arranged a meeting with Project Consultant Eric H. After making a thorough assessment of our roof, attic, and gutters, Eric patiently and thoroughly laid out what’s involved in a Polar Bear installation from start to finish. He showed us sample roofing materials for our consideration and explaining the pros and cons of each. Big selling points were that fact that Polar Bear installations conform to manufacturer’s specifications, not the less demanding WA state specifications. Polar Bear is one of a minute fraction of roofers who insist on meeting these highest roofing standards. We were pleasantly surprised to learn Polar Bear offers prices competitive with more “local” jobbers. We selected materials with a 50 year transferable guarantee. Noah and Alex decked us out with a complete gutter system in about six hours. It was obvious to me that Noah is satisfied with nothing less than providing the highest quality workmanship in seamless gutters. He’s also a delightful conversationalist! Israel’s four-man crew has worked together for about 5 years and operate like a smooth running sewing machine both in removal of the old roofing, prepping and making any necessary roof repairs, installation, and post-job clean-up. It was a joy to watch Israel’s team tackle the job with enthusiasm, good natured humor, and obvious camaraderie. They weren’t daunted by rainy, windy weather once the water-proof felt layer was securely in place. If anything fell short of Israel’s high standards, it was immediately corrected and/or done over! Production Manager Cory L. did a thorough final inspection of the work and made sure that we were completely pleased with all aspects of the job before signing it off as completed. My endorsement of Polar Bear is unqualified and without any reservations! When the time comes to replace our rapidly aging deck, we already know the firm we’ll hire to do the work!

Steve's crew took a week to remove the old deck and footings, pour new footings, frame and cover the new deck. Their work was careful and precise. My wife and I are happy with our new deck.

Polar Bear did our architectural composite roof this fall. Israel's crew was fast and thorough. They cleaned up after themselves, were polite and courteous to our family who were home during the tear off and installation. The first day they tore off 29 square of wood shake roof shingles, and laid down 1/2 inch plywood to cover the empty roof. The next morning they showed up on time with a larger crew and installed all the underlayments, flashing and all shingles. They worked until dark and even power washed our driveway when they were done. In 2 days we had a brand new gorgeous 50 year warranty roof . Francis was the sales rep who came out to do our bid on a Monday and our roof was completed by that Friday. Francis was a wealth of information about the roofing industry and the difference between roofing done "to code" vs doing it to manufacturers specifications. Polar Bear does it to manufacturers specific instructions which is what guarantees the warranty through them and not Polar Bear. We also took advantage of financing because a new roof of our size is not cheap. But knowing we literally can live into old age without worrying about an out of pocket roof replacement makes it an investment in our peace of mind and not just a 5-10 year fix. Highly recommend!!

This company has been awesome from beginning to end. Everyone was lovely to work with. They did what they said we couldn't be happier! We will recommend them to all of our friends and family! Our new roof is beautiful. Thank-you.

Where to start... we had a small roof leak. We also wanted new windows, gutters, and siding and were hoping to find one company to do it all. Polar Bear was our 3rd or 4th estimate. The two guys (Cory and ??) seemed knowledgeable but pushy but some of the others had been worse. Might be the industry. At least these guys spent a lot of time on the roof with my partner looking at the possible issues. I should note that I insisted on Milgard Windows and the guys from Polar Bear stated that they didn't typically install them but would check with their boss. The ended up getting permission to use them on our project. Considering my partner wanted the high end Milgard product that would probably increase their bottom line, I wasn't surprised. The other irritating thing about this company is their unwillingness to give you info via email or on the phone. They want to set up meetings and "go over" everything which is tedious and time-consuming. I explained that I am dealing with a life-threatening medical condition and they still wanted me to attend all their "meetings" which I found boring and over-explained. They didn't build rapport with me at all - felt like I was just window dressing for the men to talk. Seriously irritating. Cory - I'm looking at you. In the end, we selected Polar Bear to patch a section of roof and to install new gutters with the idea that if this project went well, we'd hire them to do the (very expensive) balance of the work. So, did it go well? Nope. The first day, roofers arrived bright and early and then left in under an hour. No one said a word to me. No call, no text, no nothing. Finally, we called the office and THEN Cory called my partner to say their truck had broken down and should arrive sometime that day. OK. When did you know this and why didn't you call us then? Better yet, why weren't you on the job to tell us in person? The roof demo was messy and noisy which we expected. What we didn't expect was that the guys would simply toss things onto our lawn and garden from the second story roof without ever coming back to clean up their mess. They collected some of the old material but certainly not all of it and none of the nails. Fortunately, the next person to arrive was Noa, who was installing our gutters. We LOVE Noa. He took a magnet on a stick and spent over an hour collecting all the nails which he told me later the roofing guys should have done. He also cleaned up much of the debris they'd left all over the yard. He was sweet, listened to my concerns about my dog, and worked efficiently. AND the gutters looked great and worked well. The roof portion eventually got replaced except Cory had neglected to tell the guys that an old, unused vent pipe was supposed to be removed and the hole through the roof where it emerged was to be patched. We thought that might have been the cause of our leak but when my partner went on the roof to check things, the vent pipe was still there. He called Cory and Cory said he'd get someone out in a day or two to check it out. Never happened. About a month later, someone from Polar Bear called to see if we were happy with the job and my partner told them about the vent and the lack of follow-up. Cory called immediately and gave us the usual song and dance. We were actually surprised when Noa came by two days later to remove the vent pipe and patch the hole. Again, he was friendly, efficient, speedy, and I was much impressed by his work. Our roof is no longer leaking and looks great - thanks to Noa. Bottom line: we spent a great deal of money only to have this company ignore commitments and treat us like we didn't matter. The ONLY bright spot in this whole picture is Noa. Don't hire these people. You'll regret it.

Project went well - selected Simonton Windows- Madeira, which are a high end vinyl. Only 4 weeks from selection to install, which was much quicker than I had experienced previously from another company. Everyone at Polar Bear seemed genuinely interested in making the purchase through install as positive as possible- I very much appreciated their professionalism and responsiveness. The project manager, Kendall, was very helpful in the selection process and excellent on follow through. The installers, Matt and Luke are highly skilled -they were open to any questions I had and ensuring a quality installation was obviously very important to them.

They did a great job and the workers were all very nice.

I'm very much satisfied with the work done by Matt and Luke on site and Russ as a project manager. Everything was done in time and as expected. Installation quality is on a high level. Very much recommend the company.
