Josh's crew did a great job. He was very busy, but when I contacted him he told me that it would be about 4 weeks before he could do the work. He did an initial estimate that he revised once he had a chance to see our yard. He kept in contact with me letting me know when he thought they would get the job done. The final invoice was less than the revised estimate!! I would definitely hire Green Slate again!

They are just completely honest. They let me know upfront. I'm going to recommend them.

My review is of the owner, who ensures that everything goes to my satisfaction and when it does not, he sorts it out and makes sure the service improves. I have been through a number of different providers over the years and while the personnel changes frequently(with all of them), the ownership here does a great job of noting personal preferences and following up to be sure that everything goes well. There have definitely been hiccups but I would highly recommend this business for yard care needs.

Scheduled, and completed work quickly, on time, and for a good price.

Josh laid sod in my backyard. He not only did a great job and put beautiful sod down, but because I have dogs and a privacy fence he suggested to put rock along the fence line. This was an awesome suggestion as my dogs cannot dig under the fence, but it looks beautiful. I highly recommend Josh and Green Slate Landscaping Inc. They did a terrific job.

Josh was extremely helpful from day one. He was Honest about his pricing even mentioned I could get a few things done cheaper with somebody else because that item wasn't his forte. The workers were great, curtious and hard workers, a rain front dumped tons of water and they continued working like it didn't even bother them. On the last day we asked them to pull a small tree, I thought it would be a huge pain, but it took them under ten mins including the root ball. We are very happy with the results honesty and communication we received.

WONDERFUL. Josh and his crew are absolutely great to work with. They always do a great job and I know that my yard is taken care of at all times. Many of my neighbors have admired my yard and are now using Green Slate as well.

I contacted Green Slate while I was out of the country, but couldn't return the reply until the week before I came back to the US. I explained what I wanted to have done and asked if it was possible to have it done before I returned the next week. The owner was more than nice and said that he would get it done before I came home so I would come home to a nice clean yard. When I got home, my yard looked fantastic. They removed the boxes and the weeds like I asked, but also reseeded the grass where the boxes were, staked up some of my trees that had started to fall over, trimmed back some overgrown raspberry plants and re-shaped and trimmed all of the shrubs in my yard. The team at Green Slate did an amazing job, and the office staff is great. I recommend them to anyone looking to get any kind of yard work done.

We had some miscommunications early on as the team who mows got used to what I would like to see in my yard. But Josh was extremely responsive, came out to review and discuss and arrived exactly when he said he would be here, which is quite helpful to me in managing my work schedule. We agreed how to proceed and he offered to cover the mistakes made. I now have ongoing service and am happy with the work, price and communications offered by this company. Would certainly refer on to others....The only score that I gave which was less than A was indicative of early issues but we are already moving to and quot;Aand quot; status there as well.

Always on time, professional, offer ideas to do a and quot;betterand quot; job after starting the job based on soil conditions and terrain. Always a good outcome and will use again for landscaping needs.

Transformed the yard into something incredible.

After being so disappointed with other landscaping companies, it's a complete joy to have Green Slate. What I really like about them is that they look at the yard as it is their own. We don't have to give them a list of what to do. They take intiative and do it.

They did an excellent job and they were reasonable. My experience with them has been good. They are conscientious. They come in, they do their job, they clean up after themselves, they haul the grass away, and they leave. We have a patio in the back and it always has debris on it and so we have an arbor over it and they always blow that for us. They don't have to do that. We have a walkway going down through the lawn, they always trim along the walkway, and there a little steps in there that they trim nicely. They pay attention to details. We have had others that have been lousy and charged a lot. They are very nice; they always waive at me and ask how I am doing. They are very pleasant. They are always punctual. They come every once a week in the summer time and every other week now.

He is very reasonably priced, thorough, professional and if I have a problem he is out here quickly. They can also do commercial landscaping as well.

We were very pleased with the results. They were good. They were true to their words. They were on time, did the job and did it well. They kept in contact with us which we appreciated.

They do an excellent job, they're fast, efficient and very, very good. They make my lawn look very good after they're done with it.

It's always a genuine pleasure working with these guys, who are the former staff of JB's Landscaping. They rebuilt my driveway and front lawn two years ago and provided me with yard cleanup services. While that company has closed, Green Slate is the phoenix that is taking them to a new level. I hired them recently to relandscape my backyard in concert with a deck replacement project. My backyard project has been in the planning stages for a long time; the need to replace an old deck finally opened the door to getting a failed footing drain replaced, and adding a retaining wall to lower the underdeck area enough to make it useful for something other than getting a concussion. Green Slate also installed a network of drainlines and a drywell beneath the former lawn area to carry the runoff away from the house. All activities were coordinated with the deck contractor, with special consideration being given to reducing construction impact, and optimizing the overall construction sequence. For example, while I had intended to tear out the moss-infested lawn at a later date, they pointed out that they could take it out with their Bobcat once the old deck was gone, thereby reducing the overall scope and my cost. They also brought in topsoil and gravel at this time to underlay future landscape and hardscape features. They get other bonus points for built green strategies, as I understand the old lawn was taken to a composting facility, and the concrete to a recycler. Native rock from old planters was also salvaged and has been set aside for reuse later. Green Slate is currently working with me on a planting plan for a low-maintenance native plant area that should never need to be watered once established. And I will not be replacing concrete walkways either: their suggestion of closely fitted pavers and gravel will increase perveous surface and be far more sustainable in an environment where tree roots and settlement regularly wreck concrete slabs.
