You can see the details above. Terrible work until there was supervision. Finally this past summer (after we had moved out) Earthworks did not renew the contract. Evidently the work was harder than their profit margin could allow. If others want to use the company, make sure the yard has no challenges (ours was on a hill) and that there is constant supervision.
Description of Work: Actual work: week wacker and leaf blower every few weeks; maybe 15-20 minutes. Once pruned a few branches from a tree. However, the contract called for regular prevention services in fall and spring. This was not done. Weeding was rare. Once there was a piece of trash in the yard that remained for a few months before someone picked it up. They made a special project for which they charged extra to ensure the ground cover would grow. this project did not work. IN the last year, other owners asked about the poor service. The owner promised to supervise. once there was supervision, work improved. But it took a few years for this to happen.

We got a quote from Dan Caldwell of Earthworks Landscape Services, it was very comprehensive and clear. When our contact in the homeowners association started asking questions about sustainability and organic products. Dan was responsive to the questions though not flexible with options. After a couple of weeks where we were deciding between different landscape contractors, he continued contacting us, becoming increasingly sarcastic and hostile. When we let him know, we'll before he was supposed to start work for us, and with no contract in place, that we were considering other firms, he became explosive, insulting, and withdrew his bid. We were shocked.
Description of Work: He gave us an estimate of $225/month, quit before any work was done.
