Instead, they put a mesh screen over one entry point and tried to up-sell us with the following options: a) $500 to seal up the rest of the potential entry points or b) $2000+ to clean out the old insulation and install new insulation, as well as fix any remaining entry points. In all, the crew was very nice and explained everything clearly. Unfortunately, I had it in mind that our problems would be solved for the cost of the Big Deal, when in reality, I guess I just paid for an estimate of the actual work that needs to be done. :(

This was frustrating because I unnecessarily blew a vacation day. Second appointment was rescheduled, and Angel and his crew actually arrived early. Good guys; great work.

Description of Work: I called them to set up an appointment, which I got after 3 weeks. I also had to read the voucher to the lady to convince her that the voucher included crawls space inspection, exterior inspection and plugging up of entryways. The pest control guy(Angel) came and inspected our crawl space and informed us of our rodent problem. We have a serious issue in our crawl space and major clean up and replacement work needs to be done. The estimate was $2500 approximately, which is a little higher than other quotes I have got, though by not much. The inspection was very thorough and Angel showed my husband the pictures of the crawl space showing the damage that the rats have done. However when I called them back to get some clarifications in the quote, I was told that as Angel was not available then, I would get a call back later in the day. We were also supposed to have the pictures emailed to us as I was not at home that day and my husband wanted to show the pictures of the damage to me. Neither the pictures have come, not the call back. It has now been 2 weeks and I have not heard back from them. Also, the voucher from Angie's list included plugging up entryways for the rats. They found multiple entry points but did not do anything about them. Just the inspection was done and a quote for the big job was given. I don't think I would use them. They are not very responsive. As for any work done,I can't vouch for them as they did not do any work for us, just the inspection.

Description of Work: I purchased their big deal for a crawl space inspection and vapor barrier installation in mid-August. I was under contract to sell my home in mid-September, and the buyer's home inspection stated that a new vapor barrier was needed, and there were signs of rodent presence. The service provider emailed me in a timely fashion to set up the service, but when I called to make the appointment, they said that they were booked out until early October. I said that I needed the work done sooner, so this time frame wasn't acceptable to me. They then said I would need to request a refund from Angie's List directly, which I am now in the process of doing.

At 8am that day, I got a call from the technician, he was outside the house and wondered where I was. I told him my appt was at 10:30, but he insisted it was on the schedule for 8am and could not come back at my appt time, so told me I would have to call and reschedule. I called and left a voicemail at their office, did not get a call back til the following week with a message that said "so sorry for the scheduling misunderstanding, but I think I might be able to have someone come on Monday the 15th around 3:00". I was very busy and did not call back to take that appt. On that monday the 15th, I showed up at the house around 4:00 to see a Pest Free truck sitting there. I asked them if they were there for me, they said yes and I told them I never confirmed that appt and they were also supposed to call when they were on their way(for the original appt) since I don't live at the house where the work was to be done. Anyhow, I tried to figure out if I could make it work since they were right there and the guy began telling me about their procedures and policies etc....When I confirmed that the deal I purchased was for baiting and sealing off any entry points to the crawl space, he said "no, we don't bait", to which I immediately pulled up Angies List on my tablet and showed him the Big Deal I purchased which clearly stated the deal included baiting etc...He still said "no, we don't bait", to which I said nevermind, we are done here. I feel like I paid $139 so that he could come out and try to sell me some extra services and a contract for monthly treatments. After all the false advertising and scheduling mishaps, he still said I would have to call in to the office and work it out. He should have stepped up and offered to contact his manager for me to get approval to fulfill the coupon I bought. Very disappointing! I never received any service for which I paid for.

Description of Work: The coupon deal offered replacement of crawl space vapor barrier and inspection. Our crawl space was judged to have to much household stuff in the way of new vapor barrier - provider wouldn't do installation of 500 square feet as priced into the coupon offer...... they wanted to do the entire crawl space and I wanted only 500 square feet as offered in coupon.....Removal of stored items not possible at this time..Please refund my payment.Thank you, Gene Ewalt
