He was prompt and friendly. Seemed like he had a lot of experience. He thought he saw signs that a squirrel might be in the attic, but he didn't find the opening that it was using. The opening was found after we put up a camera on the side of the house to watch for it. Then we knew when all the squirrels were out and blocked it ourselves.

Salesman was very nice and took great interest in the project, marked exactly where the screening would go and priced out special requests of mine. We agreed plastic would be able to go 8 inches up the walls (I would come back to adhere it), the trim boards I had stored under the house would be set aside, there would be 9 bays screened. However, the workers just did something else! No plastic to go up the walls, trim boards are gone, 2 or 3 bays are screened. In two bays, they put concrete on the bottom plate and along the stud. I never would have agreed to concrete on the wood! I guess the work is done per pest control standard but not what I wanted and not what I agreed to pay for.

They were great guys, but we ended up going with someone else. The estimate was competitive, but we needed other services done that they did not offer.

Everything was fine, we just do not need the deal.

Prompt response after initial contact. We were in the middle of a complete kitchen remodel (tear down and rebuild) when contractor discovered evidence of prior rodent and bird infestation within wall and ceiling insulation (insulation only in the academic sense - it had turned into complete powder.) After initial evaluation and inspection, we scheduled them to provide the insulation replacement project. Their team arrived early and set up to power vacuum out the old insulation, replace insulation and sprayed on barrier. The job was done professionally and on time, all evidence of old materials removed and cleaned up work site completely without further trace. They sprayed repellent for insects and ensured barriers to any critters attempting to get under eaves, etc. They were careful to add plastic barriers within inside of house where needed and set up all equipment to be least intrusive to our normal activities. In September 2014, we again contracted with Pest Free to perform quarterly inspections and update repellent, check for any possible infestations, and clear areas inside and around outside of property. They are responsive to all questions, and have provided first two months of repellents and maintenance. So far so good - no annual migration of insects and spiders into our home as per usual when temperature gets colder. The quality and cost are reasonable considering the alternatives. We highly recommend Pest Free for preventive maintenance and insulation needs.

Pest Free responded quickly to inspect the crawl space in our rental townhouse. The inspector detailed what he found and what was needed to be done. It was more involved than we anticipated but we were not surprised either. We agree to have them perform the work and paid a deposit. Scheduling to have the work done was a bit of a hassle, but that was due to our schedule and our renter,s schedule. Pest Free was very accommodating. When finally scheduled, the technician arrived on time and work efficiently to get the job done. They performed some work to improve the drainage under our townhouse and installed insulation. We would definitely recommend Pest Free to anyone needed work done on a crawl space.

It seemed like they used the deal to get you in the door and then said how much everything would cost. It was strange. The guys that came out were really nice.

The service is good, the technicians that come out are courteous, knowledgeable and great to deal with. Overall, big kudos to the technicians! My only complaint is that for some reason even though I've been a customer for over 2 years each time I see a technician it is always someone new and have no knowledge of the program that I'm on or the recent pest activity that I've had dealt with. Several times they try to sell me the quarterly program and are surprised that I'm already paying for it. It's as if they run the company by sending out the technicians each time with zero background or history on the house they are servicing. It's kind of embarrassing for the poor technicians. The last time the guy didn't even know about the service that I had 3 weeks prior and the point of the visit, which was to check the traps they set in the crawlspace and inspect the fan output to ensure that the yellowjacket nest was indeed killed. I had to tell him why he was there! The reason I'm cancelling the service and will go to another company is because when I called to give them feedback (regarding the technicians not knowing the history of what traps were set previously or that I'm on the quarterly program) the person at the desk seemed uninterested in the issue. She just gave me a rote "thank you, I'll pass this feedback on to our representatives" and I didn't get the feeling she even wrote anything down to pass on. I didn't expect anything, I just was offering feedback that they should equip their technicians with information about the accounts they are seeing that day, but at least I expected them to seem interested in hearing what I had to say. So I think I'll go to a company that actually cares about their customers. The technicians do, but the company overall seems not quite up to par.

I have used their services several times over a period of a few years. They are punctual and responsive to all appointments and have done a fine job. I have had good experience with them in the past and I trust them to do the job right.

This inspection was part of the Angie's List Inspection Deal for $139. Daryl arrived on time, was very knowledgeable and professional. All looked good. Suggested a couple of additional fixes to help better insure no rat entry issues and control.

these folks were fantastic. I had waited two months because I thought it was going to be a hassle to line up times for them to come to the house and within days of the purchase they had made the assessment and took care of the problem. Next time I won't wait so long! I would highly recommend them.

Estimator arrived punctually. Looked over the area in question, even crawling into a dark and dirty crawl space to look for signs of rodent infestation. Looked at the areas we had questions about, found no signs of rodents. Left us two traps just to make sure. We were quite pleased to know we didn't have rats.

Inspector arrived as scheduled and did a thorough examination of attic since we had seen birds entering routinely in one area and had heard baby bird chirps there. Inspector confirmed that babies had left the nest in the attic and that the area needed new screening. He also noted that squirrel tracks indicated squirrels had entered the attic in another area, but had not nested or remained there. He drew a sketch of the attic, noting which areas needed securing. The inspector was very informative, explaining the habits of birds and squirrels in area. We scheduled an attic clean-up and screen repairs for the next week. Workers arrived on time and were very professional. After they finished, the foreman explained what they had done, showed me the areas screened, and answered all my questions. I felt much better after their work, and plan to have them return to put new insulation in the attic. Also, the office staff is very helpful in scheduling and answering questions. All in all, a very professional operation.

That was good. They took care of a bird’s nest in our attic. It took them only a half hour to do the job with three techs.

1st treatment went as planned, no issues. 2nd treatment was a different story. Appointment was set for between 4-5pm. I showed up at 4:10 due to traffic. At 4:12 I get an email bill that says job completed. I looked at the exterior of my house and did not see any evidence that any technician was there. The bill stated ?Treated both front and back yards. Customer was not home. Heavily spray exterior of house. Found and removed all spider webs?. This was all supposable completed and the technician leaves before 4:10. What the technician did not know is that my neighbor was watching my house for me. He watched him pull in my driveway. Go to my front door. Go in front of my garage and was waving something. He was most likely spraying. Get back in his truck and leave. The technician did not go in the rear of the house at all. There were spider webs still by window seals. He did not treat my front or back yard. At 4:14 I called Pest Free and inquired about the service I had just supposedly received. They agreed that do to the small amount of time the technician was there; he could not have put the graduals on my lawn. The billing department tried to get scheduling on the phone but was unable. I was told I would get a returned call to schedule the correct treatment. 2 weeks later I was still waiting for scheduling to call. They have my cell number. I called them today and again attempted to get with scheduling with no successes. I am told again I will receive a call for scheduling. I really wish I would not have done business with Pest Free. They are not truthful and have issues within their scheduling department. Pest Free has lost all credibility with me and I do not recommend them. Unfortunately they will come out for my 3rd treatment later this year. They will be watched every minute.

Today I had Darrell from Pest Free here at the house to look at the insulation job I had recently purchased for $149.00. He told me that what I wanted done was not a good idea to do and explained to me that it would not insulate the attic space properly and would disrupt the air flow/ventilation of the attic space. The insulation will not be done so I would like a refund of the $149.00. Darrell said he would make a note of this so if there is any question from Angie's list you could contact him. He was extremely nice and helpful. I know nothing about insulation. Thanks, Sherry

When he leaves me with $1947.50 bid (less 1 big deal) my husband says I should do some checking into the company before we commit to that much. When I looked them up on the internet, their satisfactions ratings are not good. The real problem for us however, is that on their proposal sheet they say they are BBB accredited, also on Angie's List, but they are not. This seems deceptive and we don't want to start off with a company like that.

Pest Free Representative Daryl Cornell inspected my attic. He recommended a repair, which Pest Free does not do (Pest Free does insulation, not other repairs). Appreciate forth-right professional opinion of Pest Free. They recommended that since no work is done, I request a full refund. Thank you.

Serviceman, Daryle came out and informed me that insulating the area I wanted would interfere with the airflow and would cause mold. Took his recommendation and getting a refund on the big deal.
