When we decided on the house, they had a "show house," and we actually liked that the best. Our house was the last one of its type available. We were able to make an offer on it. They promised me they would switch out the dishwasher to one I wanted, but later found out they wouldn't be able to do that. When we moved in and didn't have any hot water, he did his best to get the builder out there to get the hot water heater functioning.
Description of Work: We decided on a house with them.

I don't even know where to begin. She was so awful, so cold, and so hateful. I get that her job was to protect her client, but she is a crazy bully. She and her client came to our home on a Saturday and her client immediately made an offer. She actually hit him on the arm when he said "I want to buy your home and I'm willing to pay your asking price". She yelled at him "Don't say that to her!" and then pulled him away (I guess to lecture him). My realtor was there and he was totally mellow. Saturday afternoon, we received an offer that was $10,000 less that he offered me with a contingent that we had to take his home in Burien. Bear in mind, our house was not even officially on the market at this point. She was trying to force us to sign papers on a Sunday before my agent had the opportunity to view the property that we were going to be stuck with. He stood up for us and told her that there was no way we were going to accept any offers until Monday, when he had a chance to look at the buyers property. My realtor called me Monday morning and said that the buyers home was a dump that had rusted out cars with blackberries growing through them and a dilapidated double wide trailer on the property and was approximately $200,000 over priced along with a house that is in total disrepair. My realtor told Ms. Darlington that under no circumstances would we accept an offer that was contingent upon him selling his property. So then they came back with the still-too-low offer, but took the contingency off. We said no. Pay full price or it goes on market. She then wasted 3 weeks of everyone's time with tiny incremental offers, but we stood firm on our price, because we knew we had a gem. Finally, we got an offer that was exactly what the buyer and I had agreed upon with a handshake. But during inspection, we all got some bad news. The radiant hoses we installed 10 years ago in about 2/3rds of the house were leaking and the company had gone out of business and there are lawsuits all over this company. Darlington began to insist that we spend $13,000 to completely re-vamp the entire heating system throughout the entire house. Of course, we were devastated to hear that, but we got some contractors involved who said it could be fixed for approximately $5,000, and the buyer would not help out at all with the expenses (I'm sure this was Darlington's idea). By this time, we were so worn out and just wanted the house to close that we did give the buyer $5,000 toward his closing costs and he can fix the problem. This lady is a bulldog, and she knew that she has a piece of overpriced junk property in Burien to sell, but that isn't our problem. The buyer is such a nice guy. We could not understand his choice in real estate agents, but if you ever have to go up against Cheryl Darlington, BEWARE!! She is truly frightening.
Description of Work: She represented the buyer when we recently sold our home.
