Ron Hillard and his company was recommended to me by an architect. I emailed a request for a quote to survey my property and he responded the same day. He said he would get me a quote the next day which his Survey Director, Kerrel Bell sent me the next day. I was surprised that they could give me quote without a site visit. All they needed was my legal property description. The quote of $2900.00 seemed kinda high but withing the range I expected from a larger survey company that has to maintain an office with support personnel. After the other quotes came back for the same description of services, I choose a different company who's quote was 60 percent less. From this experience I would probably never choose a land survyeyor that maintains an office and employees on staff to do a simple residental lot survey. Their overhead cost forces them to charge too much. I would seek out a smaller, one person, land surveyor that works out of their home for a more reasonable cost.
