Olympic Mechanical Inc

I had 2 bids and Olympic Mechanical was both the lowest bid and was able to get out to replace our furnace the quickest. I was happy with both the sales person and the installation technician. They had a lot of experience and knew what they were doing. The technician replaced my furnace with the new one in about 7 1/2 hours. The only area I see for improvement is as follows, when I accepted the proposal on Wednesday (before Thanksgiving) I was told they would be able to come out on Monday, however I did not receive a call ahead of time as to when the installer would arrive, until he actually showed up at my house.

Price was second lowest of my 4 bids, quality of final product is as good as expected. Process to get through the job was not very smooth. For someone who has time to be at home, and does not mind being "in the dark" about what is getting done when, the end result is great. This is a small company that would benefit from a project manager or customer liaison of some sort, to provide schedule and details that would help to plan for the job. I had little idea of what time workers would show up, when power might be on or off, when they might be done, which days they were going to work, etc. Each person that I asked questions to said something like "I don't know, that is not my job, ask so and so instead". Also, this company very much prefers cash or check....credit card usage was problematic, with a number of calls to sort things out(worked in the end). At first they declined to take my Amex card so I looked for another supplier but then they called me back to say they would take it so parameters were clear from the start. To be fair, I needed to get a 3rd party contractor into my older home after removal of old system and before install of new one to do some work in the space(level floor, patch wall, paint, etc) so Olympic needed to schedule around that and the Labor Day holidays. I am someone who likes to know what is going on at all times so I can plan work and personal matters accordingly but if you are fine with leaving it to the experts and getting a quality end product, Olympic should be a better fit for you. I am giving them a low score because the overall experience was not a good one for me, but again, if you have different expectations, this might be the best supplier for you.

I would use them again.

Jesse Anderson is the person who has always helped us out with our heat pump. We have a train heat pump in our home and he knows his business. He is very good. He is always on time and they are very efficient and polite. He takes his shoes off when he comes in. Not all service people are like that. He will explain everything to the point where I can understand it which is very beneficial. I would recommend him to anyone who has a heat pump.

I had called this company and made an appointment for a simple routine maintenance on my furnace. Appointment was made and the service man called 15 minutes after the scheduled time to arrive to postpone to the following day. I said fine. The following day came and no one showed up. I did not even receive a phone call from neither the service man nor Olympic Mechanical. I guess they don t really need my money! Even when times are bad!

OLYMPIC WAS COURTEOUS AND ACCURATE ON THE MEASUREMENTS. PIECES WERE EXACTLY AS THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE AND THEY WERE FABRICATED IN A TIMELY MANNER. OVERALL GOOD EXPERIENCE.

VERY RESPONSIVE TO OUR NEEDS. WE WERE WITHOUT HEAT AT THE START OF WINTER. PRICED BELOW ALL COMPETITORS ESTIMATES, AND WERE ABLE TO INSTALL NEW FURNACE THE NEXT DAY. SALESMAN EVEN RAN OVER TO OUR HOUSE TO MAKE SURE THE INSTALLATION WOULD GO SMOOTHLY.

THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN ARRIVED ON TIME. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO EDUCATE US REGARDING PREVENTION MAINTENANCE.
