About us

Small family business. We build decks on single family homes. Building decks since 1985, Cedar or composite deck surfaces. We do not do commercial projects. We build new deck and resurface most decks. If you have a frame that is in good shape, no need to build new. We can remove the old surface and replace with your choice of cedar or composite materials such as Trex, Azek, TimberTech, to mention a few. Please note that we do not do repairs on decks, nor do we install just railings. We will install railings on a deck project that we do.

Outstanding. Ken Alexander and crew were on time every day. Work was exquisite, professionally completed and, completed on budget. We had some interesting construction problems with a complex stairway rail system but Ken designed a solution that matched the rest of the deck railing perfectly.
Description of Work: Re-planked an existing 1100 square foot cedar deck with new cedar and, new cedar rails with stainless steel cables.

His bid is lower than four other bids that I had. He was always on time and called me if he was delayed. Cleaned up after himself and very good to work with. I am a single woman and I was treated with respect and courtesy. I was really impressed with that. I have referred him to all my friends.

They were unbelievable. They were professional. Always on time. Their craftsmanship was impeccable. Pricing was very fair. They were punctual everyday. I would recommend them wholeheartedly. He and his nephew Jeff was knowledgeable and their expertise was phenomenal.

Decks For You owner, Ken, does all the work himself with his nephew so you are working direct. Our project had many challenges and complexities and these were all addressed and accomplished in a positive manner. We are extremely pleased with the quality workmanship and fair pricing we received and highly recommend Decks For You.
