Blue Flame Heating and Air Conditioning

We got Blue Flame heating-air-electric company's contact from Angie's list and we are extremely happy with their professionalism and service. We got a heat pump installed and started the process of reviewing multiple options on the units during which Zane came over to our place and sat down with us to show us different options and patiently answered all of our questions. He genuinely tried to address our concerns and even when he was preparing the quotes for various options, when we asked him some instant questions that came to our minds, he quickly switched gears and pulled out the relevant brochures to answer our questions. We are very impressed with Zane's multi tasking skills and exceptional customer service. He had been in constant touch via email and phone while we got in touch with our HOA for heat pump installation approval. Zane also walked with us to view the neighborhood to see external units installed in our community to get an idea on how our unit may work out. He made sure to dedicate the necessary time to us before, on and after the installation day. On the installation day, Rob, Colin and his team came over to get the work started. They explained to us about the installation lines, pipes, electric, the exact location of the heat pump unit and worked thru' the entire day from 9.30 am to 8 pm seamlessly. While we were working from home that day and were there the entire time, we felt like we stepped out of the house in the morning and returned to a house with an A.C. & heater installed. The team just did the magic behind the scenes. Note that Saturday we reviewed options with Zane and after HOA approval, Wednesday we got the unit installed. Even with this short duration between quote review and installation, the entire experience was extremely satisfactory, they did a great job and cleaned up everything before they left! We highly recommend to use Blue Flame for anything heating, air, electric related.

They came to assess my furnace, and found it required replacing. I was in the middle of a re-fi on my house so I couldn't finance the furnace at that time. So they got my furnace to work, without any payment from me, as long as I agreed to purchase the furnace from them when the re-fi closed. I did contact them afterward, they installed said new furnace right away with over the top professionalism!! I then contacted them again about 6 months later when my water heater needed replacing as well. Blue Flame is a very refreshing company in this day & age........HIGHLY SATISFIED & RECOMMENDED!!

Blue Flame handled everything with class and great care/professionalism, and so they helped finance a new heater. I have nothing but the best things to say about them, and would recommend them to anyone.

I decided in Sept of 2017 to get AC installed in my home. I called Blue Flame and spoke with Kyler who immediately set up a consultation appointment the next day. Kyler arrived on-time and conducted a walk-thru of my home to ascertain what system would be right for me. Blue Flame's quote was fair and competitive, and best of all after I accepted they did the install the very next day. The installers and electricians were all professional and walked me through the process. I spoke with one of the installers who was a fellow veteran and he spoke highly of the owners of Blue Flame, advising they actively seek out recently separated veterans to employ. I highly recommend Blue Flame.

Our service man was Tim P. He is outstanding. I requested things when he came out to do a quote. Though I initially believed the amount was a little high even with the 5% senior discount, I decided it was fine after I saw the quality of work and his desire to get us the results we wanted. He alerted me to a safety issue in the electrical panel when he came out to do the quote and wanted to fix that right away. He explained everything clearly and did not condescend. He was contentious, very careful about our belonging, efficient and polite. He carefully checked all work that his assistant did. We are very happy with the results. He is creative and looks to the future, like suggesting leaving enough wire inside a complex chandelier to bring it down a little more if we were not happy after living with the placement. He updated two old-style knob thermostats for baseboard heating to programmable digital, put some lights on a dimmer, installed a new bathroom outlet and a few more things.

System seems to be working again. Labor costs were high and I’m disappointed that our 5 year old system required this repair. Blue Flame techs were informative, prompt and professsional.

We returned home mid-day last Sunday (in January!). As soon as I opened the door I could hear that our 20 year old furnace was in its last death throes. I turned it off and called Blue Flame the next morning. Since our water heater was 12 years old I decided to replace both. Kyler came that afternoon, evaluated our needs and had a very complete estimate to me on Tuesday. By 2 pm I evaluated two very competitive bids. I decided to award the work to Blue Flame. I called Kyler back, and he scheduled the install for the next morning! Wednesday morning Doug and Colin showed up and began work. During the day I decided to add a new return air grill and associated duct work to the basement. Doug called the office, and I got a revised invoice from Kailana within the hour which I accepted. Their warehouse sent a van three times with the additional parts. Doug and Colin left our house at 5 pm. Furnace in, water heater in, new thermostat in, additional vent in, floors vacuumed, and Doug explained use of all the new equipment. AND THE HEAT WAS BACK ON. I was pretty sure that when I added that additional work the install would stretch into the next day. I'm a retired architect with almost 40 years in the business. I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly. I say without qualification that this company is staffed top to bottom with pros. They looked me in the eye, they listened to my needs and they answered my questions thoughtfully. These people treated me, the customer, as if I was their boss. A rare and welcome experience these days!

From the very start this company was professional and thorough. Theresa and Curtis were prompt , fast and very knowledgeable. After they were done they spent time with me explaining my options going forward and what would be best for me and my family.

No surprises or unexpected fees. It was a good deal and I plan to have them come again next time.

Absolutely stay away from this company UNLESS you know right of the gate that you only want a new system. They are VERY responsive when a $10-12K job is in their sites. When you're without heat for five days in winter but it's only a $500 job then you are an afterthought. Their organizational structure is set up so that once you're assigned a technician, there isn't a manager, co-worker, or ANYONE else who can help you. EVERYTHING has to run through that ONE guy. I can't even find out if a part has been ordered five days after it was supposed to because that ONE guy is on a job. I'm HOPING to hear in two hours but they do know that there's NO way they'll be helping me today. Oh....did I mention that I'm a "Preferred Customer" with the annual service plan and this problem started the day after they came out for their semi-annual preventive maintenance servicing? If you use this company, you do so at your own risk!

Trevor was incredible. For the price - $89 - he spent about two hours cleaning, inspecting, and adjusting my very old furnace. He gave me great feedback and advice -- and education, without being preachy. Very satisfied.

Fabulous experience! On time, professional, and when some lint build-up in the cold air return partially blocked the fan housing, creating some vibration, they were very responsive in coming back and finding the problem (a one minute fix)! Thank you Blue Flame Heating!!!!

It went well. The technician is very friendly. He showed me how stuff works. It's pretty helpful.

I started calling HVAC companies on Monday. The first two quoted diagnostic appointment availability at a week to 4 weeks, but Blue Flame scheduled our diagnostic for the next afternoon. Brandon arrived Tuesday right on time and immediately diagnosed several problems, most due to the furnace’s age (26 years since install, well past typical lifespan) and any one of which warranted drastic action. Based on the info, we decided to replace the furnace, and Blue Flame accommodated us with a Wednesday afternoon install appointment. The install crew, Sam and Steve, dived right into the work and our new furnace was heating the house a few hours later.

I was contacted immediately after signing up on Angie' List for the service deal to set up an appointment. They called the morning of to tell me when they would be there. The gentleman that showed up was very nice and professional. He took pictures of everything as he inspected and cleaned things out. Was here for more then the 15 min other companies have been before who charge me just as much. Felt he did a much more thorough job and would highly recommend him to others.

Generally, it went well. The total price included a new thermostat, but I didn't accept the new thermostat. It took a while to get a refund on the price of the new, unused thermostat, but eventually I got a refund check from the company. The crew was efficient and courteous. They arrived on time and cleaned up satisfactorily. They scraped the side of my water heater and the wall, but the space was tight. It was difficult working in tight quarters. They discovered that some of the ductwork for the new furnace was disconnected in the crawlspace under my house. Glad that this was fixed. On the whole, a good job!

I was called by the company to let me know which technician to expect. I received an email as well. The tech showed up on time. He was very nice and knowledgeable. He reviewed the work done with me. He also made recommendations on upgrades to my heating and cooling needs that I inquired about.
