Blue Flame Heating and Air Conditioning

Very well. He referred us to Aurora Edmonds Duct Cleaning for the work to be done, and also sent us the cost for replacing the air cleaner, if needed.

They worked with me to find a furnace that would work for me and was in my price range. They were very thorough and made sure to take everything part and make sure that everything was functioning. They did an amazing job of cleaning up after themselves. They did a wonderful job.

I started the process with Blue Flame Heating and Air Conditioning last October and I tried calling back the gentlemen who gave me the original estimate. I had trouble getting ahold of him and it turns out that he had been let go and Blue Flame Heating said that they could not honor the price that he had set in the estimate. After they did the work I had problems with the gas lines and the batteries. I had to have the gas company come to my home because there was so many leaks in the gas line.

I awoke at 9 a.m. to find that the house was cold so I turned the thermostat up but the gas furnace didn't turn on. I called the gas company and they said since I wasn't smelling any gas (smells like rotten eggs) to call a heating contractor. I called 2 contractors off Angie's List but no one was available to come until tomorrow. Then I called Blue Flame and they sent someone out at 3 p.m. The serviceman, John Falletich, was very courteous and knowledgable. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a defective circuit board. He checked his truck and he had a new one on hand. He installed it and checked it. The whole replacement took only a half hour. He checked it and now the furnace works great plus the air is a lot hotter coming out of the floor vents. He was very efficient and I was totally impressed with his professionalism. I definitely intend to use this company, if need be, for future heating work.

Very impressed with the professionalism of all aspects of this company. I contacted them via email through their website, and within 24 hours I had an email back from the company to set up an appointment. When I called to set up an appointment, the person on the phone was curteous and knowledgable, and was able to schedule a service call the very next day. The technician (John) was exactly on time and very through and professional during the service call.

Solved a simple furnace control problem, inspected heat exchanger. For a $45 fix they saved me the $4000 another Angie's List firm would have charged me when they ( the other firm) wrongly recommended I replace the entire furnace! Hope to get another 2-3 years out of this one. Blue Flame is now my furnace company of choice.

Since the furnace was just installed yesterday... only time will tell how great it is- with our future gas bills. The installation went well and smoothly from my perspective. No surprises, which was nice. We now have a system that's more efficient than what we had! The team showed up a bit late but it snowed yesterday morning and we live on a hill so I'm surprised they were able to make it here! That was nice. They explained what they were going to be doing and I had some spare time to heat the house up before they shut off the existing unit. For the most part, we stayed out of each others way and they did what they needed to do! By early evening, we had heat and all was good! (although I wish I had a space heater so they were in such a cold garage!) No suggestions as they pretty much took care of everything!

Furnace failed early Monday morning-attempts to reset unsuccessful. Identified Blue Flame from Angies list, called early Monday morning-left voice mail. Call was returned in 10 minutes (1 1/2 hours before blue flames open hours). Blue Flame worked with my schedule was on site at exactly the time agreed upon. Diagnosed furnace as unsafe to operate as heat exchanger was clogged and cracked. Blue flame technician evaluated my home heating needs and identified appropriate least expensive replacement unit. Also, identified need for venting. To reduce costs, I cut vents (I?m handy with a sawzall) and trimmed new vents with nice screens. Blue flame arranged good financing terms. Next day, two technicians arrived in a van with new unit. In 6 hours, old unit was removed and new furnace installed. Technicians where polite and professional. Area was cleaned and result was clean, professional installation. Overall, Blue Flame, worked with my needs, professional, and delivered exactly as promised.

Arrived on time, cleaned and maintained furnace, left soon after. Very satisfied with results.

Great. I reported the problem they said they couldn't come until the next day, since it sounded like they needed a senior service person. Then the woman called me back & said they could come that day, which they did. John was very friendly and professional. Both he and the woma taking my call were very upfront about costs, etc. Cost ended up higher than estimate since we hadn't discussed thermostat replacement.

They were very good. Their price was very competitive. They did very good quality work. They paid attention to detail and they followed up to make sure that everything was working properly.

Our furnace broke down in the middle of the night during the recent snowstorms when temperatures were in the 20 degree range and we were very concerned about keeping our home warm for our two very young children. Blueflame examined the furnace, gave me repair and replacement options,and installed a new furnace the next day for a good price. Two years ago, our gas line was shut down by Puget Sound Energy due to a small gas leak in a pipe. This also occurred during the cold winter months. Repair was relatively minor, but no company except for Blueflame gave us the time of day. I'm sure they lost money by helping us, but they sent someone out the same day anyway. There are businesses that provide a good service. There are also businesses that provide good service with great compassion and social responsibility. Kevin, Aaron, and the entire Blueflame team have gone above and beyond the call of duty twice to help keep my family safe and warm during a crisis. In the process, they have earned a customer for life.

John was very prompt, professional, and quick. He did not charge me extras that I was expecting for having him out late and calling only a few hours prior to his visit. He also replaced my filter at a price that was very close to what I would have paid for the filter alone from a discount store. High marks for Blue Flame and their great staff especially, John!

Since I told them that I currently did not have heat; they bumped me up the list to an emergency status so I was able to get the service much quicker. The service was great and I would recommend them to other people and I will use them again in the future. He was also very personable and very conscious of my home. The gentleman was very knowledgeable and helped me a great deal.

Very positive experience. Scheduling was prompt, the service person was on time, and knowledgeable. This was my first time having the far-from-new system serviced, as I am new owner of the house. Besides the basic service, he also had various helpful things to tell me about where I could put some money to improve it, likelihood that I'd need to replace it in the near future, ballpark cost to replace, etc. All very helpful as a new owner.

They gave us an estimate and stayed within that price. They were knowledgeable with old heating systems. They covered their shoes when they came inside. They were professional and polite.

They were totally professional and really friendly. They were really efficient. We went with them because they had an Angie's List coupon. They came in much lower than the next bid. We would absolutely hire them again.

Had them come out for a furnace tune up. When Devon was here, I asked him about replacing my chimney cap and venting. He went up into my attic crawl space to take a look and gave me an estimate for the cost as well as the time he could come back. Devon did an excellent job, he was very professional and polite, and I was very comfortable with him.

In April '08, I called Blu-Flame to service the electric furnace in our rental home. I received prompt, professional, courteous service from Blu-Flame from start to finish. After the work was done, the gentlemen also put silicone around the base of the furnace because it had shifted out of place slightly, and he showed our tenant how dirty the filter was and explained that letting a filter become that clogged would cause higher energy bills due to decreased air flow and showed him how to replace it. He was very personable and friendly to both me and the tenant.

Devon, the Blue Flame tech, showed up right on time. During the maintenance he discovered the heat exchanger in my furnace was cracked, which was covered under warranty by the manufacturer, Payne, however the labor to replace the part was almost $900. He checked and there was no carbon monoxide leak. He ordered the part and scheduled to come back a week later to replace the part. I purchased a 3 year maintenance package for $379, which got me 10% off the labor to replace the heat exchanger (and future labor charges), and 5% off any future purchases, i.e. new furnace, heat pump, etc. When Devon came back the following week he was again on time and replaced the heat exchanger in a couple hours. So if you have a Payne furnace (or any brand, for that matter), whoever does your maintenance, make sure to have them check your heat exchanger during your annual check-up.

They were very good overall. They were knowledgeable, and they did a thorough job assessing the work needed. Their price quoted was a little higher than some of the others, but they are willing to negotiate.

A house we recently purchased need a new gas furnace and water heater. However, the furnace chimney was unlined and it needed a rebuild above the roof. We decided it was more economical to eliminate the chimney, direct vent the furnace and go to electric for the water heater. Blue Flame completed the work for us. They efficiently changed out the furnace and hot water heater. They brought in an electrician to extend the 220 line to the hot water heater. Overall, they completed the job quickly and with high quality. They strapped the new water heater in and capped the old chimney vents. We were quite pleased with the work.

They gave us one of the best prices out of 2-3 other companies. We were pleased with the service. They were very helpful with information and up front about everything. They did not pressure us about anything. I would use them again in the future and recommend them to others.
