+ 0 moreThey proposed the most favorable cost among three candidates. The staff arrived punctually and performed the work as scheduled. The work area was cleaned thoroughly after the work. A few months later, water leakage was found around the exhaust pipe and, upon report from us, they came quickly and fixed it. Only problem we don't like is, due to the structure of the site of furnace in our house, adequate air filter cannot be applied to the proper position. They proposed an alternative way.
Description of Work: They remove old furnace and water heater and install new furnace and water heater.

+ -1 moreIt was easy from start to finish. In spice of the delay because of a previous job, I was kept informed and the work was completed on the day that Blue Flame said it would. Additionally he reccomended two heaters for my workshop, so I can work in winter.
Description of Work: The inducer motor on our furnace was dying. It had become increasingly noisy during the previous month, and on two occasions I had to oil it as best I could to get it to run, so we had heat. Jack Sanders came out and gave me an estimate for the new inducer motor, and also for two years of service of the furnace. The motor had to be ordered from Portland, and i was told I would receive a call when the work could be scheduled. AT 4:30 that afternoon I recieved a call saying that the motor would be in the next day and that Jack would be out to install the motor the next afternoon. At about 3:30 i was called and told that Jack had been held up on a job all day, and that he would be there as soon as he finished. Shortly after five he arrived, and shortly had not only serviced the furnace, and installed new filters he had replaced the inducer motor. the furnace has worked flawlessly since then, and seems to put out even more heat since the inducer is running at its rated RPM.

+ 0 moreI noticed gas smell outside my lower level, called Puget Power as it was at nighttime. Technician came and said we have a gas leak with carbon dioxide and he couldn't repair. So I called Blue Flame who came several days later on Tuesday. He was able to repair it without much trouble so I didn't have to buy a new heater. The problem didn't become obvious until he had run the heater at full blast and the room filled with gas.
Description of Work: Inspected the wall gas heater inside and the connections outside for leak. Cleaned screen etc. Found and fixed the leak.

+ -1 moreIt was a dream. They were able to order my furnace and AC and set me up with an install date in 10 days. This was over the Christmas and New Years time frame. They did a great job.
Description of Work: Call this company. I found them on Angie's list. I called and Pat was at my home within a day. He was extremely knowledgeable and great at explaining the information that I was not up to speed on. We purchased a new furnace and AC. They installed as we discussed. The furnace was priced as expected. We looked at 3 other companies who gave us similar bids. The difference was the personal attention I received. We had some issues that Blue Flame corrected on site with no complaints. This company bid and stayed in the bid, installed and cleaned up the old furnace and took away all the mess. After the install they called and sent another note. Just showing me how much they appreciated my business. I would order from them again.

water heater repair
+ -1 moreOur 17 year old, 75 gallon gas water heater was leaking so I picked Blue Flame Heating from Angie's List to come out and replace it. They were really good! They gave me an estimate by having me email them pictures of our water heater. It was a reasonable price so I hired them. They showed up on time and installed the new heater without a hitch. They were very neat and did a good job cleaning up some rusty water that had accumulated on the garage floor during removal of the old water heater. Then they went an extra step. On site, they fabricated a metal cover for the water heater stand that was made out of wood so that should there be another leak, it would never get wet again. I'd hire them again without question!

+ -1 moreThey were incredible. Rodd Walker is the owner and made himself available from the very beginning, giving me information I needed to choose between air purification systems and furnaces. He would fit us into his schedule at a time that was convenient for us and answered my emails on the weekends. Even though he had another worker do the work, he stopped by three times to ensure the work was being done properly. He looked at our heating ducts and furnace ducts to ensure the insulation company did a proper installation. He was responsive, courteous, informational, competitive pricing. The best you can get!
Description of Work: They took out the old furnace and installed a new high-efficiency furnace as well as a high-efficiency air purification system.

+ -1 moreThe woman to whom I spoke was very understanding of both my fear and the need for haste in the matter. In spite of having two of the company's men off sick, she had arranged for the company President (her husband) to come to our home for an assessment of the problem the next day. The individual who was to do the job was there the following day. The job proved straightforward and was handled with skill,care and concern for both the surrounding environment and the anxious homeowner. I would deal with this firm in the future because of their exemplary customer service and work ethic, and their professional performance. An A+ rating all round!
Description of Work: While working in my yard one day, I happened to notice that paint was pealing off of a portion of the gas line entering our house. I scraped some of the paint off and noticed extensive corrosion of the pipe. I immediately called Puget Sound Energy, who sent one of their workers out within the hour. This individual described the corrosion as some of the worst he has seen and after performing his assessment of the situation, advised arranging for someone to replace the portion of the gas line as soon as possible. I had had no experience with this kind of problem before, but I knew enough to want the best firm to do the work. Based solely on the review of the company on Angie's list, which stressed a high level of competence and professionalism, I called the firm, described the problem, and asked for their help.

+ -1 moreReplaced our dead furnce with a 98% efficient model. They were able to remove the beast of an old furnace from a very tight crawl space to our amazement. Very happy with the service provided by Coley O'Meara. Their service technition Jack did a stellar job after tracking down an issue with a "nest" thermostat that had failed. Would recommend this company without reservation. Will most definetely use this company when we install the A/C further along in the renovation.

+ -1 moreI finally gave in and purchased the annual maintenance and he vacuumed and cheked other parts. Really didn't plan to buy maintenance but i would be very upset if the part failed and im not covered. So technically they did a great job but they 'sold' me on the maintenance.
Description of Work: Furnace stopped working. The manager came and identified the cause of problem and began to call and locate replacement part while he was here. Within two hours another person came with the replacement part. However the second person wanted to clean the furnace and wouldn't guarantee the work with the dirty furnace.

+ -1 moreAfter closing I called Blue Flame to assess the situation. I was given a 1:00-5:00 window for the technician. Needless to say, I'm not crazy about such a big window, especially as it required sitting in a cold house waiting. Fortunately, he did call in advance to confirm he was on his way. The technician was very friendly and professional. He quickly identified that the furnace was set on "fan" and that's what made the furnace come on. Looks like the inspector made a mistake. But, the technician was very nice (and I think felt a little bad to charge me for the visit). He did check the filters while he was there and tell me how to clean them.
Description of Work: During pre-inspection prior to buying my house, the inspector identified that the furnace was coming on even when the thermostat was off. I had Blue Flame come in to do a diagnostic to identify the issue.
