Excellent experience. They were on time, worked efficiently and charged a fair price. Very satisfied.

The precious homeowner already paid a licensed electrician to install a disconnect box from the main breaker box and run conduit from disconnect box to concrete pad poured specifically for a hot tub. Akermann came out for a free estimate and included on that estimate was $318 plus tax for the time to come out to do the estimate and the “free” estimate itself. I only found this out when I requested a itemized list for job. All that needed to be done was run 3 wires from disconnect box to hot tub, a span of 20 feet. The sent me an estimate for $1,140. Over priced labor. Not happy at all.

Would hire them again in a heartbeat. Professionally competent with customer care!

The issues were less involved than I expected and were completed within the estimated time. Transformers needed to be ordered to repair the track lights. The technician was friendly, professional, speedy, courteous, and very competent. Definitely, will contact them if electrical service is needed again. Cost includes parts (5 smoke 2 smoke/CO2 detectors with 10 year batteries).

Michael arrived early and worked quickly. He was very friendly and willing to answer a couple of questions for me. The job was done quickly and well. I don't know the price yet, but he did a great job.

Project was done well, and in a timely fashion as promised.

They did about 2 hours of work. Ate lunch. Went to the bathroom. Had a break. They charged us 6 hours of work at our house (two men, 3 hours) and 6 hours of work for two men for travel from Mt. Vernon that is less than half an hour each way AND for loading up their truck before coming to our house. I have hired many contractors before and charging the time to put a few ordinary items in their truck was a first. This was a small job and could have been done by one person. The owner says that he is a Christian, but his business practices indicate he does not practice his faith. I have been an Angie's List member for many years and have never posted a negative review before. My recommendation is that unless you get a firm bid, don't hire Ackermann Electric.

I graded them down on responsiveness due to the amount of time it took to respond to our request. Overall that was not a problem for us since only one of the two kitchen fixtures was not working. That said, the day they called to say they were coming the repairman was right on time, did a good job, and did it promptly. The problem was that the ballast of one of our kitchen fluorescent fixtures had failed. And the cost was very reasonable. Ackerman was very professional and I would not hesitate to call them again.

Fast and professional. Probably not the cheapest but they do it right.

I've hired them a couple of times and they've been great. Everything's working great.

I have no complaints about the work done. I had an electrical outlet installed and it works perfectly. No mess was left behind like with some contractors. It was a little pricey in my opinion ($200 for an outlet) and the technician was a half hour late to an appointment that was first thing in the morning.

It was great! They are anamazing company that will take the time to teach you about a topic that is complicated and scary to many people. Ackerman Electric is quick to respond and their work is excellent and very professional.

I was told about this company by a friend. I should have gotten more information because I I kept a log of the actual hours the workman was at my home which was 3 hours total.....he ate lunch during that time as well and left to finish work in the same neighborhood for my friend who told me when he arrived at her home. He did stop by on his way to another job to see what we needed to have done to begin with. ( the time they charged was 5.75 hours] $743.14 seemed very expensive for the amount of work which was done. I called them when I received the bill and they then told me they always charge to and from a job. I will never use them again nor recommend them because the friend who referred me was charged a phenomenal amount for the work they did for her. I should have investigated them more. The work they did do was executed in 3 hours and they charged me 20% above cost for the three fixtures they supplied but I did supply my own track lights. They finally reduced the charge from $75/hour to $70 reducing it by $31.11. I believe next time I will explore other providers.

They were professional. They were punctual and they followed through on what they said they were going to do. They found the problem right away. They made a second appointment to deliver the parts for installation. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They pre-called to confirm the appointment. It was just a wonderful experience. They were excellent and it was a fair price.

GREAT GUY GREAT SERVICE VERY HAPPY OVERALL

We were very pleased. Evan Ackermann came out to our home to be sure we were all on the same page as far as our wishes were concerned. He also informed us that he could make up the 50 amp cord in whatever length we needed for far less than we would pay retail, so we included that in our job. When they arrived to do the work, it was done efficiently and neatly (cleaned up thoroughly after themselves). Sadly, the connector on one end of the cord was incorrect, so it was taken back to the shop to be fixed (schematics were not very clear about that). We picked it up a couple days later. We tested it when we returned home, and it worked perfectly. We are now ready to face the next power outage! :) Should we need to call an electrician in the future, we'll be calling Ackermann first!

The main panel was inspected and checked for any faulty installation. Found no issue except for the tenant had almost every outlet plugged in with an appliance. Replaced a outlet in the kitchen to see if the problem will be resolved. My rental unit is in town almost 100 mi away from where I reside so I had joined Angie's list to find a reliable repair service contractor. I am very happy to report it was worth it just to find Ackerman electric. There were others that were on the list but I had not received a return call or response from them. Ackerman Electric called me within 24 hours of posting on Angie's and made special arrangements working with me, a landlord a hundred miles away. My tenant was so pleased at the well informed and extremely polite electrician that showed up to work on the unit. It has been 3 months since the service call and I believe the issue has been resolved. Thank you Ackerman Electric and of course Angie's list.

The electrician arrived within 4 hours of my call, listened carefully to what had happened, treated me with respect and did not act as if I didn't know anything. He worked quickly, was considerate of our house and cleaned up after himself. It is a great relief to know that there is an electrician i would feel good about calling in the future.

He arrived late(He apologizes) but was professional and efficient and he located the problem quickly.

Ackermann was rude when he looked at the job. I didn't think he was going to give me a bid. Finally, after almost two weeks he gave me a bid. I had already hired Woods Electric who did a fantastic job.

I had no idea that I needed an electrician until the last minute. They worked me into their schedule and made sure the job was done right. I am so glad I called them!

He did a quick job and explained the operation of the pump. Very professional.

Evan and Mike are very honest, punctuila, and relealbe. They always follow thru and are very fairly priced. They are my go to guys any time I have an electireoal need or repair.
