Absolute Plumbing

Left an ugly line on the lawn and didn't bother adding new dirt like they said they would. Created and left a pipe sticking out of the lawn which is a tripping hazzard for anybody, especially young kids, and they still expect to get paid in full for awful work. Find someone else that takes pride in how they leave their job for their customers, and would try to resolve any reasonable problems brought up to create a compromise.

Professional, knowledgeable, reasonable rates, fairly priced, remained within estimate.

Plumber arrived earlier than projected, was clean, neat, and fast. New toilet looks great!

He went out and took pictures and he gave me an estimate of where he was gonna place the pump at and the estimate came back 3-4 times the amount I expected to pay for the sytem which is $1821. ken is the assistant to the owner, and he took more than I expected, I call him on friday he did not answer the phone and called him again on monday and finally he sent me the estimate on thursday almost a week after I talked to him on friday and the estimate came out to be 3-4 times higher, It's overpriced so I checked in the same equipment on the sump pump on amazon and it came out to be $328 dollars and he charged me $350. Overpriced me on the pumping system so for his job the equipment is overpriced and the labor and the estimate as well and then I called the owner back and told me that he overpriced me and he took almost a week to reply. I told them that I wont use them again. They overcharged for things when it doesnt usually cost that much. Their per hour rate is $160 an hour for a plumbing job. Which only took 4hrs but they say it would take 3-4 days.

Our water heater had slowly been smelling more and more like gas. I’d tried a few other plumbing companies closer by, but never got a response. I did a bid through Angie’s list and absolute plumbing replied right away. We made an appointment for Friday between 10-2. Those hours came and went and no show, so I called the company and after some investigating, the receptionist apologized and informed me they’d made the wrong date for the appt, but that they’d send someone right out (they’re about 45 minutes away) and that they’d only charge me half price. Carlton and isiah were professional, they were courteous, and efficient. They told me what it might be and let me know if the problem was with the water heater, they’d need to order a part. Fortunately, it was a pipe that had popped off and they were able to quickly and easily fix it.

Very pleased with his work. He even took a few minutes on his own time to help me with other projects. Will hire again for other plumbing projects.

We’ve used absolute plumbing before and really liked them. I will say that they do a nice job and the shower looks nice, however it took them 15 hours to install, they did not tell me that the hourly rate increased because he main plumber brought another worker and they showed up late (about and hour to two hours) both days. Normallly they tend to be very reasonably priced but my invoice seemed a bit expensive for what they completed (however I’m not a professional so who knows). I think what frustrated me most is they sent an invoice the first day that seemed low, but I wasn’t complaining and then the next day it went up $2000 with a “revised” invoice. I wish they would have sent the correct one first as the price increase was a bit overwhelming. My suggestion is to get a bid if you’re doing any large project with them which I will be doing in the future!

Very friendly and available. They had to rent a snake because theirs was broken. First visit only worked for a couple days. Next visit they used a camera after snaking again. The camera showed a tangled ball of roots and the snake could not cut it. $250 per visit so far. They suggested putting in a new 75 foot by 10 foot deep sewer line. They were going to quote it but got too busy. Finally got my regular plumber back in. He had the right size snake and had no problem clearing it for only $150. We set up an annual cleaning instead of replacing the sewer line for $8k or so.

It took two trips. the first one was declared done but it wasn't.

Price of materials and labor was a little high and we had to wait an extra week because they are very busy. The work was done well and the results were fine. I would use them again. however, I might shop for a better price if there is one out there.

Pretty good, though the first technician had to call for help but the problem was solved. The only problem is that a week later the deal for the water heater installation was $200 cheaper.....that's frustrating.

Appointment was made for next day and the installer arrived promptly. My husband had purchased a drain pan to place under the heater but it was too small. The installer did not have one to fit with him and we would have been charged for an hour labor for my husband to go get another one so we just had the water heater installed. The work was done very efficiently. The water heater was a Bradford White with a six year warranty (all Bradford Whites come with a six year warranty). Absolute Plumbing purchased a warranty from Bradford White which extended the warranty to 10 years as stated in the deal. All-in-all, I would say this company is competent, professional, and honest. And their deal price beat the competition in this area. The only reason I gave an overall rating of B is because I had to make a few extra phone calls about some things. The matters were taken care of promptly and cheerfully.

Of course, your water heater goes at the worst time and ours went right in the middle of a remodel! We had painters coming in two days and the house was in disarray and just about every box was in the garage with the 50 gal water heater. We noticed water streaming from under our garage door Wed night and went into the garage and it was kablooey and done, water everywhere! We immediately went to Angie's List and went down the numbers and Absolute Plumbing is the only provider in Mount Vernon that even bothered to call us right back and arrange an estimator to come first thing Thursday morning. We wouldn't have gone with them though if they had not been prompt and professional and gave us very good information. We'd decided we could rough it for a few days to get a good deal. We thought perhaps we'd upgrade to tankless that is so en vogue now but they explained the new gas lines and new exhaust vent would make the job more cost prohibitive and not a good return of our remodel investment money. They provided a new 50 Gal Nat Gas water heater and it had an upgraded safety valve and we were able to utilize the Angie's List $900 special for the new unit and installation. While we thought installation was higher than we wanted to pay (right when isn't it, LOL) theirs was the best estimate and even more amazing, they at first said they could get us in Friday or Monday but had the unit in and running that Thursday afternoon! That was the real kicker for us and we know we can trust them to do right by us for some future plumbing jobs! Ultimately two other Angie's list vendors did call back and one, with initials, did not even bother calling us, even after our second message! They upgraded our earthquake strapping and we needed another part, sorry I am not mechanically inclined so our total after tax was 1130.00.

They did a fantastic job! My water-heater broke on a Thursday (mid-day) and we had a new water heater by the following morning. On Thursday afternoon I ordered a new water-heater through Angie's List for Absolute Plumbing. (They had a special coupon if you ordered through Angie's List for $900.) Absolute Plumbing came the NEXT day and installed a new water heater and hauled the old one away at no extra charge. They were very professional and arrived on time. They did the job in less than an hour and within an hour or two we had hot water again. Phew! So basically in less than 20 hours from the time our old water heater died, we were up and running again with hot water and a new high-capacity water heater. Before calling Absolute Plumbing I had called around to several big box stores to find someone who could swap out my water heater. My son's birthday party was on Saturday of that weekend,so I was desperate. Unfortunately, they all said it would take a few a days before they could get to my house to replace it. UUUG. So I found Absolute Plumbing on Angie's list. They were courteous and professional and they had the exact water heater we needed. And they were able to schedule for the next day. Phew! At first I was a little nervous using an unknown service-provider, but they did a fantastic job! We were so thankful that they were able to save my son's birthday party. (You can't host a birthday party with dirty dishes and a pile of dirty laundry in the laundry room. And I wasn't about to wash clothes or dishes in cold water.) Thanks for saving the party!

I have used this company twice, and both times Jeremy was pleasant, helpful, and offered next day service. I originally had 2 toilets replaced, and I was very happy with his staff, and the job they preformed. They were on time, courteous, removed their shoes before entering my house, and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. I changed my mind regarding the style of toilets I had purchased, and when I contacted him he was very helpful, and gave me partial credit for the toilets that I was returning. He replaced them with the new ones quickly. Once again, his staff was excellent, and did a great job. I recommend Jonathon, he was great! There was an simple error on the invoice, and when I questioned it, Jonathon was courteous, and contacted the owner. They immediately discovered the error and handled it very professionally, and made the correction. I would definitely use this company again!
