Quoting process: I had called a few different companies to quote the fence. Minatani came highly recommended by a co-worker and he was the only one to actually come out and meet with me at my property to quote the job. Ray Minatani himself came out and measured my yard and talked with me about all the different options. He even took the time to show us a fence they installed at a nearby neighbor's house. Ray was easy to deal with and allowed us to think on the quote for a while before making a decision. He also allowed us to split up the payments, so it wasn't all at once. Construction: When the guys showed up the first day they asked plenty of relevant questions to make sure they understood exactly what we wanted, and where; even when my wife and I didn't fully agree (initially) where the fence was going. Less than a week later we had a complete fence. Ray even came out a couple times to inspect the fence himself and make sure things were going as planned. A year later: The fence is still standing strong and looking great, as it should, even in the high wind storms that we've had. It has required very little maintenance aside from partially re-attaching one board (that may have been struck loose). Overall very pleased.

They have one employee, Steve, that is great... his helpers seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. The owner sent me a bill for the services and I paid it via my on-line banking service on 12/31/15. $50 for just blowing out the pipes - nothing else was done. I think that is a bit extravagant. Not 100 percent sure, but I think they used to charge us $50 a year for both winterizing and turning system back on in spring - and I didn't mind paying that, but now they are charging $50 for each. Back to my latest problem... like I said above I had a payment sent out on 12/31/15 and I didn't notice that it hadn't been cashed as usually businesses process payments immediately - but not this one... I saw in my account this morning that they just cashed our check yesterday! Over a month and a half later!! I have been trying to call them all morning to ask them why they held onto my check for so long and I keep getting a recording saying "Your call cannot be completed as dialed as the called party is busy" So apparently they only have one phone line and no voice mail set up. FRUSTRATING!!!

Called to see if they could help us repair/replace stuck valve. They said they could. They showed up one day without calling ahead and blew out the system, which I hadn't asked them to do, but I guess was the right thing to do considering the chance of freezing. Then it took quite a while before they came back to replace the valve. But, they did get it replaced before we got a hard freeze. And, they dug it out by hand to minimize damage to the lawn.

The grass filled in all at once, and there were no bare spots at all, he did an excellent job. He is very professional, and I liked that all the grass came up, and that everything works.
