Services we offer
We are a licensed, bonded, and insured contractor. We are able to help you with all areas of drywall, painting, and wallpaper. We have many years of experience in this work and have undertaken jobs of all dollar amounts in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Our skills you can leverage: Drywall Hanging, Drywall Taping and Texturing, Interior and Exterior Painting, Staining, Faux painting, Doors, Trim, and Cabinetry Painting, Wallpaper and Border Hanging.
Description of Work: Work Description: Full exterior re-paint of a 12-unit condo community with two separate buildings and multiple colors. Comments: A very good paint job at an excellent price, done by a small, quiet, courteous crew of career professionals whose experience showed. The final bill was right in line with the quote; although some items could not be estimated until the job was done (e.g., replacement of damaged boards), there was no price gauging. The job took a little over a month (just a little longer than originally estimated). They sprayed the main body of the building (and there were a few small spots where the spray got beyond the well-taped/papered parts of the structure, including a few shingles on the roof, a stair railing, etc.), and did all the trim and fence work with a brush. Given that the final cost was about 20% less than our condominium's 2012 Reserve Study estimate for this project, we are very happy with the work and I anticipate going back to Mink when our building needs its next re-paint.

The job was not begun on the agreed upon start date nor was it finished on time. He never showed up once at the agreed upon time, he's just about a high quantity of jobs & not quality. Ryan sent one guy to hang the sheet rock, where I should have had two pieces on one wall with one joint they installed six small pieces & 4 joints. None of the walls are flat & the joints are very noticeable, lots of spackle circles & lines as well as recessed areas. The work area was sloppy, my property was a mess where they worked, they have no respect for you home. He came back once to fix his sloppy work, but it wasn't acceptable so I hired & paid another company to finish the job properly. An overall very distasteful experience with a dishonest contractor.
Description of Work: Hang two partial walls, one complete wall & one ceiling then tape & spackle to a smooth finish that would be ready to paint, sounds simple enough right? Apparently flat, straight walls & smooth joints are not in the skill set of this company & his "employees".

It is unfortunate to see that the member is making a completely inaccurate portrayal of this project. We began this project 3 days prior to the day that we had the member scheduled in for originally. We were at his house every time we had indicated we would be there. We install our drywall in the way that will provide the highest quality finish, using our industry experience. We tape our drywall in the same way to provide the highest quality finish. All work on this project was completed beyond industry standards and well beyond our contractual obligations. There were no visible imperfections in the walls or ceiling when we left the project and we have pictures to back this up. The work area was kept immaculate and we also have pictures to back this up. The member had his father supervise the project and we had him check our work and our cleanliness every day when we left the project. We did not leave until his father gave his approval of both items, each time we were there. We also asked the member if he had anything he wanted us to address when we completed the project. He asked us to come back one time and address a few minor imperfections, which we did. We didn't hear anything further from him until he sent in this report. After receiving the report, we tried to contact him to address any concerns he might have, and he wouldn't return the call. Shouldn't he contact us with any concerns? Shouldn't he give us the opportunity to address any issues he might have? Shouldn't he have had a licensed Drywall Inspector look at his project to verify whether or not it met industry standards? The member did none of these. We are not sure what caused the member to make this completely false report and then accuse us of being dishonest. We would be happy to compare our pictures and notes of the project, with his pictures and notes.

I emailed Ryan through Angie's list and he responded promptly. He came out to give an estimate a couple of days later (it was a holiday weekend). A few days later he came out to do the work. Ryan was very communicative and always responded quickly to my emails or messages.
Description of Work: Ryan retextured the walls of our rental unit. A couple of the walls had to be completely floated due to major repairs and unprofessionally applied texture. Once complete the unit looked as good as new.

Ryan was very friendly, polite and efficient. Work was done as communicated with no changes in pricing or scope. I'm very happy with the work performed and would look to use this company again.
Description of Work: I had several (~6) holes in walls (think door knob sized holes) as well as a few small remodel holes (think 12" x 12" size) that were patched and textured to match existing finishes. Repairs were done in "middle" of walls, behind sink, ceiling, etc. Ryan masked off all work areas to minimize dust and messes.

We had a leak from the upstairs bathroom which caused water to come through the ceiling below. I had cut a hole and pulled out the insulation. Ryan replaced the drywall, taped and floated and primed the ceiling. We need to repaint the ceiling, but it is still impossible to tell where the hole was.

Ryan was great!! He was always on time and very efficient. I was completely at ease having him in my home while I was not. Everything was always nice and clean at the end of the day. I've already gotten an estimate for him to do more work in my home. Great company, no complaints.
Description of Work: Ryan came to our home to install, tape, top, double, sand, prime, and texture some drywall in the kitchen. He sealed the subfloor with primer and painted the kitchen walls (2 coats) and lastly, caulked, sanded, and painted all of the baseboards in our kitchen, dining room, living room, and hallway (2 coats)

Ryan had wonderful work ethices, was fun to work with, very attentive to my needs, and very polite. He always showed up on time, worked very hard every day he was here! The painting was very nice, clean workmanship. The outcome was beautiful what more could you ask for? Ryan was AWESOME.
Description of Work: Ryan did drywall work on a remodel where ceiling was converted to a cathedral, and two sides of a wall where it changed. Taped, double sand, prim, and textured to blend into existing texture. Patch five areas throughout the house. Then painted all ceilings and all walls throughout 1200 sq. ft.

Ryan did a great job. He is thorough and professional and spent alot of time getting the drywall just right. The job is very dusty, he had covered everything. In the end, he brought in a cleaning lady who spent a few hours cleaning after the job was finished. He is very pleasant, answered all my questions and worked under a deadline since I was moving in very soon after he finished.
Description of Work: Ryan drywalled after a complete repiping of my water pipes (done by GPS Plumbing), hot and cold over 3 floors in 3 bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room. Practically every room needed drywall. He did such an outstanding job in the house that I asked him to drywall an unfinished 2 car garage. He stayed late to make sure it was all done before I moved in. I cannot tell where the openings were in the walls and ceilings.

The roof repair was fine. His painting was a mess. He painted over a nail that was just lying on a window sill, which, when removed, left the shape of the nail in the paint. This nail was not nailed in, it was just lying on that sill. He painted over numerous cobwebs, which shows he never prepped the walls/ceiling to paint. After he installed the vinyl window, I found that it was leaking bad. This caused the new paint to stain and soaked the carpet under the window, which created a large waterstain. Although he did respond to repair the window, he never touched up the paint or re-did the carpet in that area. Ryan rushed through the entire home and projected a feeling that he really didn't care about the quality of his work. He's a nice guy but business is business, and we did not get what we paid for. This was an older mobile home that we needed to make livable for new owner/tenants. Also, he did not show up as agreed/scheduled. We do not recommend Mink Enterprises/Ryan Huotari.
Description of Work: I hired him to repair a leaky roof, repair damaged walls and 1 ceiling tile, paint all interior walls, shampoo carpets, repair the entryway porch, and install a vinyl window in a 720 square foot mobile home (Singlewide).
