Bob was great. He responded quickly to my inquiry and got me slotted into his (busy) schedule. When he came out to the house, he diagnosed the problem and repaired it quickly. He also answered several questions I had about work that I might like to someday in a very honest way without trying to upsell me on anything. Very professional and friendly - I would use B & C again in a heartbeat.

Work was done professionally. Scheduled appointment was nearly 2.5 months from request, so scheduling for a major issue could prove problematic. Service was completed as expected.

Replaced bad capacitor--working very well now.

I asked for a quote on their website and got an emailed reply right away from CJ. I decided to go with a different company because B&C couldn't get to us for 2 months, but a month later when the other company failed to show up for an appointment, I contacted CJ again to get on their schedule. Two months later, Bob showed up right on time and got right to work. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He fixed the fireplace and did a full inspection. The price was a flat fee of $179 plus tax just to come and look at it which included the inspection.

They did exactly what they said they would. The price that they estimated was the same price they charged me. This is the second time I've used them because I like them so much. He wrote down that the convergents of the vents for water heater and furnace and that its not a problem when we sell. A month prior he came to fix our gas fireplace. There was a break in the metal piping and replaced it. He brought my fireplace up to code by installing a damper clamp. He did it all for $140. We connected really well. His wife takes care of the phones. Someone will call you back soon after you call. We ended up talking on my staircase for over an hour after he was finished. He fixed my fireplace in an hour and I had been trying to get people to fix it for 3 years. But they all either declined to do the project or would rather install a new fireplace which was a tremendous amount. He was my savior.

I found them very honest, responsive. He is quick to help and take care of people right away. I have used this service for years. I trust him. That is important.

Arrived on the date scheduled about in the middle of the 2 hour time slot scheduled. Found bad connection immediately when attempting to check current load to compressor pump. Replaced bad connection and heat pump started to produce some heat. Didn't do a complete diagnostic on the whole HVAC system so asked him to check whether the defrost cycle was working properly. Checked the defrost cycle and was working properly. First HVAC service call in many years where I didn't feel overcharged and where I observed excellent competence in the service personnel. The only thing that could have been better would have been a complete and thorough multi-point system check been made of the whole heat pump and furnace system while here.

Bob has been cleaning and inspecting our gas fireplace and heat pump regularly for the past six years, and always does a superb job. We were first referred to Band C by a local fireplace retailer, and couldn't be more happy with the service we receive. Customer service is clearly a priority to them. Scheduling is a breeze and Bob is on time, courteous, thorough, and knowledgeable. If you're looking for professional, reliable heating/AC or fireplace service, you'll find it at Band C!

From the start, we had a good feeling about these folks. It's a husband/wife team, and she (sorry, can't remember her name) provided lots of useful information over the phone and made sure we got the soonest appointment that met our schedule. The problem with our fireplace turned out to be exactly what she predicted. When we called around to compare prices, many others told us they would have make an initial visit for diagnostics and a second visit to bring parts to perform the repair. Band C made sure they knew what model fireplace we had and Bob brought all the right parts the first time around. One quick visit, one decent price. Bob was skilled, honest, quick, professional, and very tidy. A nice guy to boot! We would definitely use them again.

The 2nd company that Band C Comfort referred us to was able to come out the same day and determined what the part was that needed to be repaired / replaced. They were having problems finding the replacement part as original manufacturer went out of business. In the mean time, Band C called back to make sure we had been taken care of. When I explained they had determined what part was needed but were having problems finding it, she offered to call them as she knew where they could get the part. Now for the bad news.....after a minimum of 4 additional calls to the 2nd company, they have never returned our call and the gas fireplace still doesn't work. My guess is we need to replace it vs. repair it but a call back from Rockwell Energy confirming this would have been nice. Give it's May, it's not high on my priority list now until fall. So I give Band C Comfort an A+ as they went out of their way to refer us to someone else (thus losing our business) and then following up to ensure everything was taken care of and then calling the owner of the other company to let them know where they could get the part. I would definitely use Band C again......but definitely NOT the company they referred us to!

Bob came out and serviced the furnace and gas fireplace in my newly acquired house. I booked about a week out, they called me the day before to remind me of my appointment. There was a two hour and quot;windowand quot;, as much as I hate those as requested they called me 30 minutes before they would arrive. He actually got to the house first and found my front door ajar. Oops! So ran off to Home Depot to get new door hardware and left him to do his business. He told me it would take an hour and 45 minutes but when i got home an hour later he was done... so must've been a pretty easy job or maybe i misunderstood. $200/hr seems a bit expensive, and I even and quot;savedand quot; by combining two services into one call. Regardless, he's a very personable guy. He showed me how to clean my new air filters and use my new fireplace. I would use again.

One word - Amazing!!!! We cannot say enough about Bob and CJ - they are a great team. Right from the start you feel like they are honest and trustworthy and provide really useful information to make sure you know you are making the right decisions for your home. We had several contractors give estimates which whilst over priced, did not fill you with confidence or that they were looking after your interests. Other quotes to replace our flue required a roofer to be onsite to re-flash, however as Bob also has many years experience as a general contractor, he was able to install the new furnace, flue and re-flash all in one go without the added expense of a roofer. Bob was also very meticulous servicing the gas appliances, making sure he placed protective sheets in front of the fireplaces and leaving them looking like new after the service. We will be looking to install a heat pump in the near future and there is only one place we are going - B and C Comfort...

Bob arrived and got to work. He was friendly, removed his shoes, and took care to cover our carpet where he was working. Since it was cold in the house, he restored the gas line to the furnace and water heater and turned on our furnace before he got to work on the leaky valve. He also made sure the gas fireplace was working properly before he left. He locked the gate and door to the garage when he was finished. Everything was great. I will be having Bob return to service our furnace and AC!

Turned out the remote control receiving unit, located in the fireplace, needed batteries replaced. Bob relocated the receiver so that the face plate doesn't need to be removed to access. Checked the thermocoupler, gas leaks and painted firebox.

Excellent love this guy I have used him twice now for fireplace repair and he is awesome, on time friendly and quick. He is however busy because he is reasonable and good so you have to wait a bit but he is worth it.

They also repair heating and cooling, electrification, water heaters and gas fireplaces. I spent $200 on that work. He was on time, knowledgeable, professional and also had the part in his truck. I tried to get him before Thanksgiving, but he was booked all the way. I think he is a pretty popular guy.

My husband dealt with them. Everything went fine. We had no complaints. I believe I got a recommendation for them from a local fireplace store. She called when they had an opening, but we were not able to take advantage of it Once we got it scheduled they called the day before to remind us about the appointment.

I called to have our home, and our rental home serviced. One has a propane heater and fireplace, one has natural gas. He showed up on time to both places and cleaned / serviced everything thoroughly and efficiently. When we requested a repair to the propane fireplace, he gave us recommendations before the repair so that we could decide if the expense was worth it. I really appreciate that! He also gave us information on installing an electric heat pump if we decided to get away from propane, and gave us an idea of the monthly cost savings. He and his wife came to the rental house to perform the cleaning and servicing. They both have a great sense of humor and got the job done efficiently. I really appreciate everything they do for the customer. I feel that they put the customer's needs for safety, security and finances first. I would recommend them to anyone.

We've been very happy with what they've done for us. They were fine, as they did it in the time they said they were going to do it in the time they said they were going to do it. They left everything clean and called back to see if we needed any maintenance. I was very satisfied.

Bob arrived on time and he was very effecient. He replaced the faulty parts with the new ones, he tested the grill and he cleaned up everything even taking the old parts for recycle. I would hightly reccomend this company.

Bob Bengtson did a great job not only fixing my fireplace problem but in taking the time to teach me how to use the remote properly (which the seller did not) and light the pilot (both of which were relatively easy except for one thing you needed to know, which I didn't). Although I didn't ask for it, Bob cleaned both fireplaces and included it as part of the original job--a really nice savings for me b/c I would've had someone out to clean the fireplaces at some point, and now it's done. He also checked my furnace filters and upon finding them very dirty, cleaned them without even asking. He went way beyond "the call of duty". Bob is a pleasure to work with--he's very personable and engaging but his conversation never interfered with his work. He was very punctual--he actually got to my home before I did I called a fireplace store (not the one I bought mine from) to ask for a service recommendation. Bob's name was the first to come up. The store heartily endorsed him as well. I would hire him again in a heartbeat and next time I need to get my furnace serviced, he will get my business.

It is in the middle of the busy season for Bob and CJ, but they managed to fit us in. Bob did the install in spite of darkness and pouring rain what a guy. Thanks Bob!

I used them because of personal recommendation. It is a small company with a lot of personalized individual care. You don’t feel like your being treated as 1 out of a 100 jobs. These are the sort of guys who will come out on a Sunday at 11pm if there is a problem with your furnace in the middle of a snow storm. They came out and got everything done on one day for us and also did a couple of little odds for us without charging anything extra for that.

Bob arrived on time. He tried to fix the non-working fan on our living room fireplace insert. When it couldn't be fixed, he replaced it with 1 from our game room fireplace that has never been used. He took the old one to see if he could get another one to put in the 2nd fireplace insert. To get to the fans he had to completely remove the surround and fireplace screen doors. He also looked at the fireplace to see if the site was viable for the insert to be replaced by a wood stove. It wasn't and the stove wouldn't be as efficient. Bob checked the furnace and thermostat to determine why we could only turn it on or off but not regulate the temperature. The fixture wasn't repairable so had him replace it with a new one. He also connected the heat ducting to the register in our entryway so the heat goes up to the main level and not just in the basement. He looked all over the 1st and 2nd floors to ensure all vents were working and determined that a vent could be placed in my office/spare bedroom that was missed when the home was built. He took all the information needed to research costs and products for a heat pump. That will be a near future installment. Bob will be back with the fan replacement and the heat pump estimates. My husband Bob related to serviceman Bob with both having computer programming background and both live on woody acreage.
