Found problem and resolved it. Did a safety inspection. They will try to sell upgrades, but no high pressure. Had one issue. They accidentally left a freezer unplugged on a circuit they worked on and had food spoiled. When I contacted them they were quick to respond, professional, apologize, and reimburse for loss. Would definitely use again.

Great from start to finish. The initial inspection/survey they did uncovered some issues we were not aware of (expired smoke detectors, etc). We were so glad they made us aware of those issues and we were able to fix them on our own. The lighting install itself was great. The technician was a pro and helped us figure out the best placement/configuration for our recessed lighting. He did his best to keep the rooms clean that he was working in which is challenging when you are cutting holes in the ceiling. We love how the lights turned out and will definitely use them in the future.

The team from Kanon Electric arrived within the expected window. They were very courteous and professional. They were able to remove the guts of the old bathroom fan and replace them with the ones from the replacement unit. This recommendation on their part saved me money on the project.

Working with Kanon was a very satisfying experience from the ladies who answer the phones, to the installers and the payment department. This is a very friendly, accommodating and professional company. They explained several different options and levels of improvements. The installers were very good, working around the clutter of the rental and the window installers who were there at the same time. The foreman and all of the installers had amazing attitudes! They were good natured and happy workers. They explained the process every step of the way and communicated what was done and what might be needed in the future. I praise the Lord for such a wholesome, professional and just exceptionally nice company to work with. I highly recommend Kanon Electric to anyone needing electrical or wall heater replacement and repair. Best contractors I've ever worked with!

Like a previous review, they immediately started a whole house review , then, began to con me into replacing 5 smoke detectors. My circuit problem the needed repair they said was just a outside outlet replace. Total cost $900. I guess the guy in the review was right, they really get their money. Just for an outlet?

I'm sad to say that I wouldn't recommend this company unless money isn't an issue. The first visit, they come for a little over $100 (with tax) and you are paying them to bash your current electrical situation and quote you on what it would cost to do the job you called them to come do - plus all the other ones They make up. They upsold every aspect of my electrical. My electrical is newer in 90% of my home. They went around my house, quoted me on a job I didn't ask them to, and gave me C grades for everything because the method and things that were done aren't to today's code apparently. If you do go with them, call them and ask them about the monthly club that costs about $12. See if you can sign up for that and minimize your $100 surcharge for them to do nothing but bash your house. I just saw a review on yelp where someone got the $100 waived because he complained about their quote. Lucky him. Do I doubt their ability to do good work? No. I think they do great work and use the highest quality materials. But you pay for that. They will guilt you into feeling like your house is subpar and that everything was done wrong. After talking with other electricians, they just were up selling me. My electrical panel that is good for another 10+ years does not need to be replaced right now. But they will tell you to do so. After waiting 6 days to have them come fix my problem. They left with me really frustrated and taken advantage of. They just walked around my house to bash and quote me thousands of dollars of work. I wanted them to spend that hour opening up the plugs and things that might have a problem and were the reasons I called them. Instead to have them do that - just open stuff and see if there is a problem - it would cost me $400. Sorry, too expensive for the average Joe and I can do better elsewhere. I found a better electrician who will come and look at stuff and then charge me for the job that is needed.

They showed up on time, were real thorough and still have some work left to do, plug installations, but they don't take payment until the job is complete, which is good.

I am in California and I needed a trustworthy electrician to find and fix a problem at my mother home in Washington. Jim D. took my call originally and was understanding of my situation and was easy to talk to. He quickly found the problem and made prioritized recommendations. Chaundra made the scheduling easy and the repair/upgrade project went off as planned - on time, on the budget as quoted, and completed as scheduled. If you call them, and I hope you do, the way they answer the phone will make you smile - it did for me. I hope I don't need them again but if I do, I won't hesitate to call Kanon Electric again. Side Note: Jim was willing to accept the coupon posted to Angie's List - good toward standard rate pricing but the savings received because we took advantage of the SSP (Savings and Safety {Plan) pricing option provided hundreds in savings over the standard rate pricing plus a lifetime guarantee.

The crew that came to work on my house was nothing short of perfect. Nick met with me in January and walked through the house with me to evaluate what I needed done. He had great suggestions and ideas. He gave me the bid that day. Nick, Justin, Derrick , Nathan all worked on my house. They were professional, courteous, and best of all cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend Kannon!!!

They also installed two new outlets. They are not like regular outlets. They are actually to extend the cable that we have from upstairs to downstairs so we run a 2nd wireless router downstairs. Our house is two stories so the wireless does not transfer downstairs so we had to put a 2nd box downstairs.

No complaints. 3 men came to work at the house, and they were done in approximately 3 hours. They even addressed an issue with one of my heaters tripping a circuit and vacuumed out two heaters for no extra charge.

Nick and his apprentices were very friendly and professional. Many times we asked, "If this was your house, what would you do?" We appreciated his honesty and common sense. He explained why he had to do things certain ways. Most telling was when the city inspector arrived. Nick had placed orange flags in the lawn where new grounding rods were buried. Inspector appreciated Nick making the inspection easier by doing this.

Jim of Kanon Electric sets the bar high and he always reaches it. This is the second time I called on Kanon Electric to take of my electrical needs. The first time was several years ago when I did a kitchen remodel and whole house back up generator install. He did that with flawless perfection and this job was at the same high caliber. He installed a 230 volt breaker box for a new hot tub that I had installed and connected the hot tub perfectly. In addition he added a waterproof plug next to the breaker box for my electric awning and BBQ. He did an exceptional job as always. He also replaced the smoke detectors in my home that are well past the safe age and installed whole house surge protection. Additionally he did a complete inspection of my electrical system and recommended changes in the future to keep my house and family safe. I appreciate the honesty and integrity of the work that Jim and Kanon electric provide. I don't think you will find a better service provider.

Wow! What a pleasant experience, seriously! My electrician was Jim. He arrived on time. Called beforehand, as they stated he would. He was very respectful. He did not bat an eye when he had to go under my manufactured home! I have had actual pest control people be all squirmish at having to go under the home. He was extremely clean. He even put on little shoe covers every time he entered my home! He put everything back together. I have had other professionals that do their work and leave everything torn apart. Based on my experience today, I feel safe and I now have a trusted electrician I can call if I ever have any future electrical concerns. I know he will return my calls, actually show up, show up on schedule, and do a good, clean, respectful job! I have had other professionals cancel appointments or not show up at all. Or the simply never even return my call. I put out several calls to different electricians between 9:30 am - 10 am. It is now 2:30pm and none of the other electricians have even returned my call yet. Jim was here, done, and gone before even receiving a call back from the other guys. Thanks, Jim!!

Two short days before Christmas our new furnace tripped our breaker, and kept shutting off. (This was the fault of an old electric panel) With two young kids in the house and holidays approaching we were not sure how we were going to get heat and light back on. I called first thing in the morning and Kanon Electric sent someone out immediately to look at the breaker. They discovered that it was a definite fire hazard and was arcing behind the panel. The wires coming out were warm to the touch - something that sent shivers up my spine. Not only did they then agree to replace it the same day but the owner Jim came and did the job himself, staying until late in the evening to complete it. Jim was the most professional, kind and thorough person, and we can't state enough that every dime spent was worth it. Kanon Electric went above and beyond to help us, and while many contractors would have left us in the dark and returned the next day to complete the job, they finished with class and style. This is one family run business that we would recommend to anyone without a doubt.

Jim and his crew have done several jobs for us at our home and shop in Auburn. To describe the service in a nutshell I would say ?Professional?! They arrived on time, every time. We really appreciate his set pricing that allows us to immediately know how much the project will cost. Then, the job is done right, with no leftover mess. We already have another project planned for him.

I had called 3 different companies to get a bid to install a backup generator and main electrical panel replacement. One company did not show, but Nick from Kanon Electric provided an onsite detailed bid with different options and costs. Nick walked us through all the options and provided his recommendations (which we ended up going with). The other company (who I actual thought I would be using because they were highly recommended) came out and looked at the work we needed to have done and told us the old main panel didn't need replacing, even though it was on a recall list and rusting inside. He then told us that the work would take too long (2 days) and they were busy and wouldn't have time to do the job, huh? Nick and his crew came out on a very raining day with no complaints and did a very professional install. We are very happy with the quality of work that was done and the manner in which it was done also. I highly recommend Kanon Electric.

We originally contacted Kanon to install a dedicated outlet for our new venting microwave. When doing so, the electrician recommended we install a new electric panel, as ours is old and outdated. It is, so we had Kanon Install a new panel. For the next several days, the microwave kept tripping the circuit breaker. I had a service person from GE come and check microwave. It checked out okay, so I then had Kanon come take a look. One of the "plugs" in the panel was defective, so he replaced it, and everything has worked beautifully since. The Kanon electricians were very prompt, neat and clean, well mannered, and knowledgeable. We would definitely use them again.

Exceeded Expectations. Nick's punctuality and responsiveness was only exceeded by his professionalism and quality of work. I would refer Kanon Electric to my friends and family.

It went amazingly well. I was able to get an appointment quickly and Bonnie was very nice. Jim called to let me know he was on his way, got here on time, and I showed him what needed to be done. He got to work right away and worked pretty well non-stop until he was finished. The ventilation fan was a challenge, but he worked it all out. He even fixed an outlet for me downstairs and didn't charge me for it (it was a two-way outlet that was only wired for a one-way, and he fixed it so it now works properly!). Jim then did a whole house safety check, and explained that one of our circuit breakers would need to be redone so it's up to code. Jim explained their Safety and Savings Plan which I agreed to buy. For a small monthly fee, it allowed for a discount on the work done (the total discount more than made up for a year's worth of the plan), and includes an annual electrical safety inspection and priority scheduling. Nice, kind people, great communication, great work ethic, decent pricing; what more can I ask for? I waited three months to give this review, and everything is still working perfectly. I would hire Kanon Electric again in a heartbeat.
