Description of Work: This was supposed to be a Big Deal, $149 for 2 hours. Electrician replaced two light switches and a ceiling light, then tried to sell me a contract. All took less than an hour. I had more to do, but he left. My expectations were too high.

Description of Work: Nick, the tech, was very professional and explained the cost of the service prior to commencement of work. While fixing the problem, he explained what he was doing so I could understand. He had some recommendations that we'll be doing in the near future.

Description of Work: Nick from Kanon Electric arrived to install a new Blink HQ100 EVSE (electric vehicle charger). Before the installation, Nick came out to the house the prior week to evaluate the job and provide an estimate. During the estimate, Nick was extremely thorough, opening the panel and evaluating its condition thoroughly. We have an unusual, old panel, so the detailed evaluation of its condition and of the requirements for an installation was most welcome. I was also pleased to know that the estimate represented the final price, which is a welcome difference from many other electricians. | |When Nick returned to install the EVASE unit, he arrived exactly in the middle of the expected time window and set to work promptly. It was quite enjoyable watching him work, running the new conduit, adding the breaker, and properly wiring the new connection to the EVSE unit. He had all the right tools to install the unit quickly and efficiently - it was quite a pleasure to watch and see come together so well. Throughout the process, Nick was very pleasant and conversive, and finished the install in about an hour. Topping off the experience, Nick vacuumed up all the dust that was created by the installation process, which was a wonderful surprise! :-) | |During the installation, Nick noticed one of the existing breakers making an unusual sound and was kind enough to replace that breaker, resolving some odd voltage spikes that had started the prior evening. I was thrilled he was willing to fix the old breaker while he was there. | |The entire process from estimate to installation was ideal. I was very pleased with Nick's explanation of the installation steps and his analysis of the panel, allowing me to plan for future electrical maintenance and upgrades. The EVSE unit worked perfectly after the install and the whole process was just a pleasure. I look forward to having Nick and Kanon Electric perform my future upgrades and maintenance.
