Horrible! See above. Very, very bad experience with Coverific Upholstry and Pete Smolden
Description of Work: I hardly know where to begin. Realizing that there is not much choice in Colville, Washington, I selected Pete Smolden's shop, Coverific, because he touted that he had done a lot of Cessna aircraft interiors while in Alaksa years ago. While I think he really tried to do a good job, he failed. The man seemed confused by all the pieces in the leather, carpet and headliner kit that was custom built by Airtex Interiors out of the east coast. He took a long time to complete each phase, and I had to constantly point out deficiencies in the leather seat joinery, the pouched head liner, the glue that came undone on the seats, door jams, weather stripping....Bad job! Certainly the interior looks much better than the dated materials that were in there, Pete was slow to respond to repairs once he was paid. Speaking of payment, he worked me over for an additional $400 because he pulled a pity party over the extra work he did. Most recently, when I called to have the failing glue redone, he missed his week window to come out to effect the repairs. I visited his shop personally to motivate him yet he was distracted with another auto job and made that my problem. When I told him that this is a business aircraft and it comes and goes, and this week it is here, he only said he would come out the next week and hope I was here. Yesterday he called and said that he would come out but he now felt he needed to charge me. I told him I would post this matter on Agnie's list to warn others of his behavior, and told him I would call another shop to fix the leather, weather stripping and other portions that are failing. My advice: Don't walk from this shop....RUN! Pete is a disaster with some skill, but no follow up.
