PK Electric

The lighting system over our kitchen island consists of several pendants suspended from a rail attached to a canopy containing a transformer. When the system failed, it took several days to figure out that the transformer was to blame. It took several more days to locate a replacement part. Once that arrived, we realized that the wall switch was inappropriate for use with the transformer. Eventually all parts were on site and we contacted PK Electric to install them. The electrician arrived exactly at the time specified, obviously was skilled at his trade, and completed the work in slightly over an hour. We were very satisfied with this firm..

the service person seemed very amateurish and diagnosed my problem as the worse case (and most expensive) scenario. In the end what I determined was it was the city problem and several people on my block unbeknownst to me were having the same problem. I was upset that this provider never considered this and went to the most expensive solution.

He was prompt. A bit pricey, but he did good, professional work.

Overall the work that was done was really good. I was happy with the work. The bad things were he did not call before showing up, He made a mess and did not clean it all up and I thought the price was a little high. I said no for using the provider again but if they could work on those issues that happened then I would prouably use them again.

PK Electric is always my electrical company of choice I spoke to a representative at a Seattle number). They are very reasonably priced. I received a quote for $1200. for the work they did for $550. John, the PK electrician, has done work before in my home. He is quick, efficient, neat, courteous and does a professional job... what more can I say. This company belongs at the top of Angie's List; I'm surprised they are not. I recommend this company as the top in electrical work!

Can't recommend PK Electric enough. Used them months ago for a ceiling fan install and it went smoothly. I've used other companies in the past and PK Electric was by far the best. They are very easy to get a hold of, are able to make appointments in a quick time frame, and the electricians are friendly and knowledgeable, show up on time (or early) and do a great job. You don't have to worry about scheduling, call backs, outrageous costs, showing up on time, etc. which are all problems I've had with other companies. Cost seems competitive. I'll certainly continue to use them in the future.

The first system installed did not have a long enough range. They came back and installed a new set for the price of exchange of equipment. The second appt was broken several times before the installer came. They did not charge for the second appointment. They responded to the concept that I was looking for a performance criteria not just a light.

I haven't really used anybody else. But they have been good, punctual and courteous. I would recommend them.

I called PK Electric and was able to have someone come the following day to install a ceiling fan in my office. The electrician was on-time, friendly, and performed the work in a reasonable amount of time. I will likely use them again for more electrical work.

We needed to move an electrical conduit so that we could have kitchen cabinets installed. The contractor worked diligently in a difficult space, and did excellent work. The result is exactly what we desired, and nothing got damaged in the process.

I found him difficult to converse with - he's very quiet. I had a number of questions about different options and he didn't seem to want to discuss them. After he left, I had another company come out to give an estimate. They had a different plan that I liked better (it would have looked nicer) so I contacted Scott and asked him about doing it that way. He noted the difficulty with it and I noted the other company's proposed solution to that problem and expressed interest in getting an estimate from him for that. It took him several days to send an estimate and it was for his original plan, not the plan we found more appealing. In the end, we got a 3rd company out to give an estimate. That company was very willing to discuss alternative options and were able to provide a solution that didn't involve running pipes outside my house.

They couldn't repair on first trip,so came back and gave us a price adjustment for 2 trips.

I called them three or four times and each time they said that they couldn't help me at the normal rate and that I would have to pay the expensive "after hours" rate. I feel that, as a consumer, I was being ripped off.

This is a small company and very easy to deal with. The problem I had was pretty simple but they did the work promptly and at a fair price. I would use them again.

The company took the time to understand our requests. Adding electrical service to the dock was tricky. The team considered options and made the final selection based on needs and presentation. The electricians added outlets in our home and repaired our driveway rockery lights. We would hire them again without hesitation.

Eugene did a great job and I have asked PK to allow him back when I do our laundry room. Eugene arrived early and was nice enough to wait in his truck. I saw that he was here 15 min early, but we were up so I went and allowed him to come in. He is very friendly, offered to remove his shoes - I told him to just clean his feet in and out but we had hard wood floors so I wasn't too concerned. He made friends with our little dog right away, who then wanted to follow him around. I explained the job - he went right up into the attack to find the location of the old fans in the two bathrooms. Pour guy, the attic is only 1/2 accessible down the center - he had to get down on his hands and knees and crawl around the insulation to where we thought the bathroom ceilings were to find the old fan boxes. This took a while. I moved on with other things and trusted Eugene to keep doing what he needed to do. He went up and down a few times, but eventually got to work installing each fan. They each took over an hour. (Honestly, I thought the price expensive...just to put in a fan? BUT, even though I still think electrical prices in general are too high because they know it's an expertise you need...I WAS willing to see that it takes more effort and know how than I thought and I'm glad my husband didn't tackle it :) I was most appreciative for Eugene helping me understand the dilemma with the light scones I wanted to put in. Since the original hole was not center - if I put one scone over the 2nd mirror and sink - I would HAVE to repair the original hole and he would have to make a new hole properly centered. OH! I did not want that added expense of ruining a wall and needing a drywaller. So Eugene explained that they make updated cool looking enough track lighting that has moveable lights on them AND a moveable connection box - SO without having to fix the wall at all - he could put the connection off center and STILL center the lights properly over each mirror and each sink. OH! (female alert - I would not have known that). Eugene was gracious to have his lunch in his truck while I ran back to the store to replace the light fixtures. Worked out great. I so appreciated Eugene that I asked to have him back on our next project. Thanks Eugene.

It was flawless. They made the appointment very quickly and performed the actual work within a couple of days.

the crew arrived at 7:30 and were complete including cleanup by 11:30. they were very professional, efficient, and friendly.

The workers arrived on time. We went over the work to be done and they began doing the work right away. The garage work required the removal of some peg board and other coverings. These panels were carefully replaced when they had finished working. All work was completed on the same visit and they cleaned everything up. I could hardly tell they had even been there. Both workers were polite and professional and I was quite comfortable with the work they had done. The finished work invoice was almost exactly the same as the estimated costs and there were no surprises. I was very pleased with the work and the overall experience.
