PK Electric

We chose PK based on their Angie's List recommendation. They were not the most or least expensive but since we were GCing a large scale project ourselves, we needed a very reliable electrical sub that we could trust. Our first experience, with the updated electrical service was good. They do good work. Our second experience, with all other wiring, was a bit less consistent, but generally good. The nice thing about PK is that our lead electrician, James, gave us his cell phone and allows us to call him 7 days a week. He is very very nice and always comes out when something goes wrong. He is responsive and reliable and has strong integrity. I liked that they installed stuff very neatly, on center and paid good attention to detail on outlets and fixtures. Could have been a bit less heavy cutting into drywall but goes with the territory. Only thing outstanding is that some our bulbs keep burning out, not sure if we have a ground problem but know they will help resolved.

Electrician showed up on time, and proceeded through the checklist very effectively. Asked relevant questions when he had some doubt.

When I called, they had a cancellation and were able to schedule my work for the next day. The technician was 15 minutes late, but he called to let me know this. Work was completed exactly as requested.

They got me on their schedule within two weeks of my call, were prompt to their appointment and completed the install efficiently.

The electrician came over few weeks ahead and we talked about different possibilities on this and a few other projects. They gave accurate price estimates and helped us prioritize projects. This was project two for this year. The electrician is easy to talk to and very good at giving us enough information to make good decisions. They arrived on time, did the work, and left the area clean. It works great.

They were very terrific! Michelle was very flexible in scheduling, the prices were reasonable and matched the estimate. Robert was prompt, very efficient, professional and careful. He cleaned up after himself. He was very pleasant and respectful. We couldn't be more satisfied. It was a great and impressive experience.

Excellent. When I called PK Electric I explained what I needed and expected to get a bit of a brush off considering how small the job was. To my surprise they scheduled me for the next week. They showed up on time and I explained what I wanted to do. They spent some time looking everything over and then determined that getting to the main panel would require a lot of cutting and they came up with a creative solution. They estimated $350 given the labor involved and walked me through the pros and cons of doing the work or living with my extension cord solution. :) I decided to go for it and they finished the job sooner then expected. I've never been quoted a price only to have it come in lower then expected. Great work. They cleaned up after the job and there was no sign they had ever been there.

I requested bids from 3 companies. Two responded after some prodding. Everyone is busy in this market these days and PK's approach was more appropriate and better priced. Job was done professionally and on time.

Initial consult was scheduled about 2 weeks out. Robert came out and accessed my initial complaint of sparking at switch on the initial visit, but since I added so many jobs to my list we scheduled a follow up appt. for the myriad of other jobs. Robert was great! He assured me that all the projects on my list were no problem and could be remedied easily. At the next visit, Robert and his apprentice, Chris, arrived on time and started right in. I again, had added jobs to the list for him to complete. They had no problem with the additional jobs and finished up in one day.

They did good work, and I plan to have them do the wiring of a storage shed when I can afford it.

I was very impressed with their schedule, process, and price for the work performed. Travis came to the house and was very professional and followed up personally to make sure the job was completed as we had requested. We still need to have trim work completed, but the rough-in inspection passed easily. We haven't rec'd the final bill, but the estimate and work performed seemed to be in sync.

I spoke to an Angies list rep. and she wrote the earlier review, which is a bit confusing- so I am writing one myself. Robert showed up 45 mins. before agreed time and first tenant didn't answer door, so he went to the second side. Tenant was wrapped in a blanket from the cold, invited him in to start work and Robert refused, argued and ultimately said he would return in a week. When the tenant called me upset that no work had been done, I called company to see what was going on. I was told by a very sarcastic Robert that the first tenant was not answering door, the second was ''naked'' so he would just do the work next week. He continued by yelling at me that if I didn't like it, I could just find another company for the job and hung up on me. This is a condensed version of a very unpleasant experience. Robert was abusive, unprofessional and illogical. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CO. TO ANYONE. I WAS ABLE TO FIND ANOTHER WONDERFUL COMPANY WHO WAS HAPPY TO HELP ME- EDMONDS ELECTRIC.

Bob and Joe came on time. In three hours they had the job done. They were professional, capable, efficient, and knowledgeable. It was very obvious they knew what they were doing.

The breaker kept tripping and PK Electric found the issue and fixed it. The price includes an Angie's List discount.

They did a fantastic job. Their representatives were prompt and helpful, they showed us how our old system was wired incorrectly and gave us an accurate estimate on replacing it. When we told them that we wouldn't be at home on the day they wanted to do they work, they offered to come on either Saturday or Sunday at no extra cost. They did a great installation job, and we were very happy with their work. Soon after they did the work, we noticed one of the lights wasn't working right before we left town. We called to report it right before we left. While we were gone, they came by and fixed the light at no charge. Great service!

Not good at all. Scott told me the soonest they could do the job was 1/3/07. I gave the go ahead. When I contacted him on 12/12/06 to see if they could also replace outdoor lights, he said that someone could come by on 12/27/06 at 10 AM to survey and give estimate. On 12/27/06 at 9:20 AM - I received a call that Scott was sick - and could they reschedule? I asked if they could confirm that we were scheduled for 1/3/07 for the work. Was told that they didn't see it - but would check and call me back. They never did - so I called them on Thursday at 10 AM - asked the same question. Was on hold several minutes - someone came back on line and told me that we were listed - but a note was by the appointment saying reschedule. As I took a day of vacation to accommodate PK on 12/27/06 - I wasn't willing to take another on 1/3/07 in the hope that they would show. When I said I wanted to cancel because they were not acting reliable or professional - I was offered a mumbled - "I'm sorry."

We called PK Electric based upon their ratings on Angie's List. Michelle was always very friendly and courteous when we called. She was patient in getting all the details of our job(s) requested and immediately understood our needs and recommended a plan; get the electrical back and then give us an estimate on the other jobs we might need. We also agreed, based upon the age of the home and the existing electrical issues, that we needed an assessment of overall needs/upgrades. Robert and Joe came out as scheduled. They too were very friendly and courteous. Robert did a full walk-through of our house, while Joe examined and repaired the outlets and overhead lighting. Within an hour & a half we had light in both rooms and a plan/schedule to upgrade our old/original circuit panel. Robert was very informative, and gave us lots of options. We have additional estimates coming from him on other electrical work in the house. We are extremely pleased with this company!

They came on time, they charged what they said they would charge.

The two, very polite workers, even waited in my driveway when I was a few minutes late for the scheduled time. They did the work quickly, efficiently, neatly, and asked for my approval when it was done. The finished work was neat and saved me much time and trouble.

The electrician arrived on-time with an apprentice and both worked quickly and completed the work in 2 hours. Very courteous and explained all of what they were doing and why. - Loved their work!

I can't remember who I talked to when I called to schedule the appointment, they was very nice and friendly and engaging. Robert the electrician was very nice. Arrived when he said he would. He did the work that I requested. Robert was very friendly and polite. He did the work quickly and efficiently. I am happy with the work that was done in my home. The price was less than the quote that I was given on the phone when I made the appointment.

Robert from PK came out to provide a bid. Nice enough guy but obviously not experienced at bidding. Couldn't seem to get details correct, notes were poor. Was told a bid would be sent out Monday (he was out Friday.) One week later, no bid. Called Robert, said it was in the mail. One week LATER, no bid. Called Robert; I asked about bid and if they still wanted the business. He said no and HUNG UP!! I called the company. Michelle, when I asked her role, identified herself as a "scheduler" (not as the owner) and when I told her what happened on the phone with Robert, she did apologize. But the bid still had not been mailed at that point and I said she could check with a manager and get back to me on a price break as compensation. Only then did she say she was the owner. I thought she was not being honest at first by not saying right away she was the owner. At that point I decided this was NOT a company I wanted to do business with and would recommend against hiring them.

Overall a good experience. Some miscommunication on the job resulting in the fact that they had to come back and correct the J-box installation. But they took care of the problem and were prompt and apologetic.

Robert was very efficient. He came in with his team, and delegated right away who was going to do what. The team of 3 worked quickly and were very unobtrusive doing what they needed to do. It took 3 days to have all the work completed.

Cindy, in the office, did an excellent job in getting us on the schedule promptly and was so helpful and polite. Mike and his crew did an outstanding job. Mike was so knowledgeable and helpful as well and the work was done quickly and very professionally.
