PK Electric

PK was great. The office always answered and was polite and helpful. Scheduling was a breeze, they were able to come out in a few days. Two electricians showed up exactly on time, were unfailingly polite, finished faster than expected, were nice to the little boy, took their shoes off without asking, were friendly without being overly chatty.... Oh, and the bill was lower than estimated. What else do I need to say...

They were somewhat tardy due to a previous appointment taking longer than estimated, but did call with explanation. When they arrived, after a short review of the tasks, the professionals got to work.

They first sent someone to find out the problem and he was here for more than an hour to asses the problem. He was a young man and real go-getter. He said they could fix the problem and told me that he would call the electrician who can explain the problem and take care of it. The electrician came out, explained everything in detail and told me what can be done to fix this problem. They did a very good job and I was very happy with their work - I am going to call them if I need an electrician.

It took several days to complete the job, but he did do quite a bit of work. I was happy with the outcome of all the work and would hire him again in the future if needed.

Fantastic from the initial phone contact to estimate until everything was done and cleaned up. They arrived on time, worked for 2 days, and got everything done as planned. In addition, there was an unfinished wiring project in the basement that they put together for us. I'll definitely call them the next time we need electrical work done.

The quality of the work seems good and the price seems fair. My only complaint is that the lag time between me contacting them and getting a response always seemed longer than I'd expect. After I sent the inital contact email I got an immediate response that said I'd be contacted the next day - it actually took a week. Then when I had them out for an estimate I expected to get the estimate within a day or two but again it took 4-5 days.

They were professional and did the job they advertised. The people showed up when they were supposed to and I was pleased with the work they did.

The service provided was very good. On both visits, the electricians were paired with apprentices. On both visits the electrical work was excellent. The apprentices work were also very impressive as well possesing excellent customer relations skills. The office staff also provides excellent customer relations skills overall. The following areas could have used some improvement: 1.Communitions: On two occasions the electricians did not show up in time (greater than 30 minutes late) before I had to make a call to the office. During these events someone should have called us before we called the office. 2. After job completion, the area should be cleaned up if there is mess created by workers.

They came on time and were available right away. They were very courteous.

They were really good and the price was also reasonable. The person who came was courteous and I was pleased that all this cost me just $200. I thought I might be more than that. Their punctuality is good. I called them once on a Tuesday and I asked them to come immediately. They came and finished the work.

They did a really good job. I got 2 bids and their bid was the lowest. I wanted our service panel to be upgraded to 200. They suggested me that if I upgrade it only to 150, the price would be a lot less. It really turned out that way and the service panel is working fine now. I was happy with the alternative they suggested me. Even though it was not quite as good, it only cost me half as much. I felt that the price they charged for the entire work was good compared to the other bid I received. The quality of work was good as the inspector was quite happy with the work. The electricians were there when they said they would be. They also completed the job on time.

On 6/24/09 I called PK for a free estimate. The next morning, a nice young man diagnosed the problem as "This house/garage circuit is overloaded. The electrical panel is too small for the current electrical draw and suggested a new panel and meter. Homeowner is also considering a dedicated 20 amp circuit for the freezer in the garage." He said he would give his report to his journeyman who would call with the estimate. On 6/30 I received a bill for $104.03 (supposedly for my "free estimate") that would be credited to my bill if I had PK do the work. Within minutes of opening this bill I received a call from PK's journeyman who proceeded to discuss my mis-diagnosed problem. I was outside and my phone connection went dead. I called PK regarding the bill and a women very rudely told me I didn't have to pay it. I called back and asked to speak to the highest person in authority on the premises. The same woman told me she was the owner and then asked "what was my problem she had cancelled the bill and she hoped my house burned down and called me bigot" (presumably because the young man who'd come to my house was Black). Between 6/24 and 6/30 I got another estimate, the problem was correctly diagnosed, fixed and I paid $130.00.

Called the company at 9:00 a.m. phone rang with no voice mail. Called again and I had the same experience. E-mailed the company and got no response as well.

They were extremely quick to respond to me. The gentleman who came out was knowledgeable and personable. He did his work and left my house clean. It was quite a quick trip but he did take the time to discuss different options with me, because I had other ideas in mind, but chose not to do them at that time. If I do choose to do them, I will definitely call PK Electric again.

He showed up right on time - even a few minutes early. He was personable, knowledgeable and worked quickly. My only small concern was that although it was nice that he took the initiative to replace an improperly-installed outlet box, he left a gap in the drywall beside the cover plate. Fortunately it's in a closet so it isn't a big deal, but I would have liked the option of leaving it alone, had I known that a gap would be left.

They were very pleasant, helpful and quick. The dealt very professionally, were very knowledgeable and we were very pleased with them. So far we are very happy with their work. The price was pretty fair.

I first met with Scott McKay, Superintendent. I told him what we wanted done, he made suggestions, and was prompt in emailing me details of the work and the cost estimates. Five electricians performed the work. They were on time, respectful, and approachable. Before starting the job, they went over the work to ensure there was mutual understanding of what had to be done. They were competent, efficient, and worked well as a team. Judging from their work and conversations among themselves, they applied their knowledge and training well. They adjusted to circumstances as required. When one completed his assigned task, he proceeded to help the others. When we deemed that the fixture in one of our garage was not giving enough light, we called the company. Two electricians were sent back to add another fixture. Overall, the guys did a super job.

I emailed PK for a quote after seeing their top rating on Angie's list. They responded and got the final quote to me in a week. I got a second quote from another top rated Angie's list member. I thought PK was more professional during the early process (and the bids were close), so I went with PK. The two technicians showed up early and were friendly and competetant. They did the work correctly and even found a potential wiring hazard from when the house was first built. On top of that they even help me move the new freezer around the house and into its new spot. I would recommend PK.

They were very responsive to my inquiry and quickly set up an appointment to come to my house to do an estimate. The estimator was very punctual, knowledgable, and thorough (he took pictures, asked questions, and wrote down a lot of notes). He provided his estimate within the promised timeframe, and it was very reasonable. The electrician who came to the house to do the actual work was very nice, explained everything he did, and cleaned up the area when he was finished. I was very pleased with the service provided and will definitely use them again.

I'll make this one short. They did everything as they said they would, when they said, and for the price we agreed on. And they did a good job. The Bellevue inspector came the next day and gave the work a passing grade.

It was very good. He came over and fixed the problem within 2 hours. Everything was perfect. I like that he stuck to the plan and didn't try to waste time with hourly charges. He was just pleasant overall.

I found him in Angie's list. The job went very well. He was very quick and efficient. The work was very solid. He was knowledgeable, knew what had to be done and how to do it. He was punctual and cleaned up after himself.

I was very irritated with them. They sent somebody out to do the electric panel, and the guy was a jerk. There were several things that went wrong. We had an inspection and the inspector said several things were wrong with the panel. I called and requested that they send somebody different out, and the person I talked to was a bit of a jerk as well, until he realized my complaints were valid. They sent somebody else out who was much better at fixing the problem and everything. He was friendly and cleaned up after himself. They charged me extra for it.
