Description of Work: I will draw a distinction between the services and the communication re: billing. The services were performed expertly. The electrician did an excellent job. However, communication with the office around billing was poor. When I phoned and asked the rate, they quoted the hourly rate. When the bill arrived there was an extra 1/2 hour added for drivng time. This was NOT disclosed to me in advance, and when I spoke to the bookeeper she said, "Well, that's standard, all companies charge driving time." My response is that this was not disclosed, even if it is standard. She became sarcastic and said, "We'll I guess I just have to make a big long spiel in the future." I said, "No, you dont have to make a big long spiel. It takes about 15 seconds to state that there is a fee for arrival on top of the time spent at the job site. " She became huffy and suggested that I was impugning the ethics of the company. Not really impugning the ethics, rather, I think their communication needs to be improved. But the electrician did his job quite well.

Description of Work: These guys are the best, professional, came in with the best bid ($3K under most), PK will be doing all of my renovation electrical work on my home, and future homes. Can't say enough good things about this company. Don't be a fool, give them a call. They have done my rewire of N&T upstairs and have wired my new construction in my renovated basement project. I now have them installing my security system. Outstanding work.

Description of Work: Electrician came on site, diagnosed a wiring problem. He determined that the circuit was blown out, and offered a suggestion on how to bypass the problem which worked well and was resonably inexpensive. Very nice, experianced, respectful, and reasonably priced. Great experiance!

Description of Work: Ceiling fan installation and verification of power supply in order to install a towel warmer and additional ceiling fans. They spent about 3 hours verifying wiring and installing fan.

Description of Work: Our outside lights would not come on. He diagnosed the source of the problem and replaced a GFR switchbox. Explained everything, including the charges. Highly professional and easy to work with. Called in advance to say he would arrive on time. Second time we have used them and thanks to Angie's List for helping us to find this contractor,

Description of Work: Sent one senior and one junior person out, at a high rate ($100/ hr). Told me I needed grounding and then put a 7 ft pole and copper wire in my vegetable garden without asking me where it should actually go! I requested they find any lose wires in my 100 year old house basement, and I still found two live wires after they finished.

Description of Work: They did not have an electrician available before Christmas and said they would call after the holiday. They never called. I hired someone else.

Description of Work: Replaced/repaired 2 light switches--arrived on time-had all necessary repair parts-finished work in timely manner--should note one of the repaired switches was a 3 way iteration installed in mid 1950's--summary--pleased with the companies performance and if i have electrical work needed in the future--intend to call them.

Description of Work: Bob and Monica checked each can light in the kitchen where we'd been having trouble with bulbs burning out too often. They replaced both switches and improved the contact in each canister. They were knowledgeable, efficient, neat and friendly. Within half an hour of their on-time arrival, they had the area cleaned, the bill paid and were on their way.

Description of Work: Robert from PK came out and did a quick assessment of everything. We have a shed in the back and the wiring was bad which fried our light fixtures. He quickly fixed all of the wiring and told me what kind of fixtures they can be replaced with. He also added an electrical outlet in my office. This all took less than 1 hour and was much more affordable than I had anticipated. $95 per hour. Robert and Joe came out again last night and fixed our electrical for our kitchen lights which had gone bad also. They were really quick, and both of them are awesome guys. I already have plans to have Robert come back out for a full day and finish up hopefully our last electrical project for a while. I would recommend Robert and PK to everyone. Straight forward, honest, and just a great guy.
