Description of Work: We hired Hardwood Perfections to replace carpet with hardwood and refinish the rest of the existing hardwood which was in pretty bad shape from our dog. I'm a professional woodworker so I'm particular about craftsmanship. Their bid was in the middle of several bids, significantly below the highest bid. Vald Nikolin managed our project and was very responsive and professional. Their crews were very skilled and worked rapidly. The lead supervisors exhibited superior experience and were attentive to taking care of the house so that there was minimal disturbance. We used a catalyzed Swedish finish over medium brown stain on oak. The final result has a beautiful luster and I have been unable to find even a single blemish in their workmanship. We had the floors done many years ago and were very disappointed, but not this time. "Perfections" is the real deal in craftsmanship. Easy to recommend them to even picky customers.

Description of Work: We had Stas and his crews install hardwood flooring and carpet. The estimate was reasonable. The work was done on time. All that was promised was delivered. There was never a mess or dust for us to clean up. We are VERY happy with this company, their service and their people.

Description of Work: Overall, the refinishing job looked pretty good, but closer inspection showed filler missed many gaps (not cracks) in all rooms. Stas came back and spent couple hours touching up with a tube of colored sealant. Still missed a lot. He did leave us the tube of sealant so we can take care of any that he missed. Also not too crazy about their choice of transition strip to carpeted areas. Kids complain they hurt their feet.

Description of Work: Vlad and crew were very professional, prompt and courteous. Vlad worked with us on making sure we had the exact products we wanted used on our floors. We had several competitive bids but he came out on top - with both price and presentation. He gave us additional ideas for making the project go more smoothly. Vlad worked around the schedules for the contractors to make sure the hardwoods were protected during the construction work and then polished and gleaming for when our tenants moved in. We would definitely recommend him and his team to anyone looking for a hardwood flooring provider. We will probably use them for our next project.

Description of Work: On-site visit to look at scope of work and provide a bid proposal. Work done was a buff out the existing swedish coat and treat with one new coat of swedish. Vlad came back after initial work was completed to perform a few minor touch ups, which came out just fine. They worked on about 900 sq ft.

+ -1 moreVlad was extremely easy to work with. You get the immediate feeling that he knows what he is doing and is very customer oriented. He responded to my inquiries quickly, met all of the appointments on time, and even worked with me on a scheduling conflict that was totally my fault. He turned out to be an excellent craftsman and a conscientious businessman. He kept us well informed with what needed to be done, when he would do it, and what to expect as the floor cured. I was totally, favorably impressed. It has been a year since they did the work and the floor is still beautiful and defect free.
Description of Work: Sanded, stained and refinished 23 year old hardwood floors in kitchen, dining room and hall.

The only thing is after a few days after installing the floor, I'm seeing gaps between the wood. I contacted them and they said that they would do something about it.

+ -1 moreI contacted Vlad @Hardwood perfections while out of town. Despite difficulties with scheduling, he patiently waited for my return and then went out of the way to get a crew onsite on a Saturday morning, as the floors needed to be done by Monday. They did a beautiful, meticulous job and didn't leave any kind of mess or dust. The floors are so much better! And, unlike so many of the hardwood contractors on the List, they didn't try to upsell me to 'strip and stain.' Instead, a good buffing and sealing with a water-based poly basically knocked the job out of the yard. As Vlad said, the water based smell would disappear quickly, and it did. I'd recommend Vlad and his team wholeheartedly to anyone considering hardwood work on their home in the Puget Sound area.

+ -1 moreCame about 10 in the morning. Removed several damaged boards and then sanded. Applied first finish coat about 2. As he said it would be, the odor is very strong. About 6 we decided to get a motel room to get away from the very toxic smell. He was originally to put the final coat on 2 days later. We called and asked him to return that night as we were going to a motel and did not want to have to go again 2 days later. He came back about 10 that night and put on the final coat. The end result is a beautiful new floor look. You cannot see which boards he had to replace. Outstanding work and service.
Description of Work: Replaced damaged boards, sanded and refinished entry way. Highly recommend. Cannot describe how pleased we are with the finished product. Very clean, even vacuumed the leaves from the front porch.'

+ 0 moreI recently had my engineered wood floors refinished by Hardwood Perfections and they did a great job, so I hired them for my new home. They installed new hardwoods downstairs. Vlad and his team were able to delay the final coat until after our move. This was to minimize damage to the floors. The final coat was performed and the floors are beautiful. They also refinished the upstairs floors. This was quite a challenge, because of the way the floors were installed. They came back multiple times with several products to attempt to hide the staples in the floor. The floor looks much better and overall are quite beautiful. Their responsiveness and professionalism is impressive. They really try to make sure the customer is satisfied, which is so important and why they are a good company to do business with.

Two workers arrived at around 2:30 PM and worked until 6. During this time they sanded both the rooms, filled any cracks and flaws in the floor, sanded again and applied one coat of polish. They returned the next day and applied another coat. Rooms were ready for use the following day.

A couple of rough patches that could of benefited from additional sanding. Friendly and personable. Responsive, just needed to spend a little more time on the finish part of the job.

I ordered the coupons on-line for their special offer - 100 sq ft for $150. I have a little over 100 sq ft so I ordered a second coupon. When they arrived to look at the floor and set a date, I found out that removing baseboards and dust control were extra. Overall, this job was done to our satisfaction.

They cleaned up their mess at end of day and were prompt, hard workers, installed 1500 sq feet, including stairs and hallways. Wove in new to old hardwood, sanded and refinished so you cannot tell where the old left off and new started. We would recommend them to anyone.

Very minor re-do's needed on filling a few small gaos in the flooring. A couple of spots with a little puddling of the finish, but they may well resolve themselves as the finish fully cures.
Description of Work: Refinish 1200 sq ft of oak floors. Replace metal heating vent covers with flush mounted oak vents covers.
