DW Drywall

Darren came out to my home, was professional and kind, he provided us with an estimate to complete tape, mud and texture for our 2300sqft home we were completely remodeling. His price was a little higher than some of the other estimates we received and that is the only reason we did not hire his company for the job. I would gladly call him out to estimate future projects.

This is the second time I've used DW Drywall. Once again, Darren was a pleasure to work with. He does great work. The holes that were patched are completely undetectable.

The initial response from Darin was fine. He quoted the job and we agreed on a price, which I later found out was on the high side. He postponed and re-scheduled my work twice due to scheduling conflicts he had. He then performed the taping and mudding and texturing. The texturing was way to heavy and uneven looking, not what we discussed and when I brought this to his attention he informed me it was due to my power supply and the width of my stairwell, obsolving himself of the responsibility. Overall I was very displeased with his professionalism and customer service attitude and would not hire him again due to this. He was disagreeable and had an excuse for my objections each time. I found him very difficult to work with, even when he offered to sand and re-do the whole basement, by that time I just wanted him to finish and leave. Then he refused to supply me with a written receipt with his company name on it for my tax purposes.

Darren was prompt in responding to me, and was able to fit me in a week early when he had an extra day become available. He was punctual, and taped everything up to keep the dust at a minimum. He also swept and mopped up my floor when he was finished. He was personable and friendly, and I would hire him again without hesitation.

He is very professional. He is a little on the expensive side, though.

Darren was great. He took the project on short notice and kept my remodel schedule intact. Clean, neat and the finish looked perfect. The project was difficult because of vaulted ceilings and open stairwells. Two other top rated Angie's List drywall companies initially said they could do the job, only to reconsider and bailout. DW Drywall's bid was in line with my other quotes and there was no additional up charges, even though the sheetrock under the popcorn was in rough shape.

I got about 4 quotes and picked DW Drywall because of the reviews on here and because of the way he treated the bidding process. Scheduling took a few days to get our two calendars lined up. He showed up and did everything he said he was going to do. The office looks great. My husband is very detail oriented and was very pleased with the project results. Me too! Thanks DW Drywall.

I had several drywall companies in the area come and bid on a bathroom dry wall repair job. Out of all the companies, Darren gave the best information and I didn't feel like he was gouging me like the other appraisals!! I would have gone with Darren but I ended up using some of my husbands friends (drywallers) that happened to be having a slow time for biz......fortunately for me, unfortunate for them.

Dale was punctual, efficient and pleasant. His price was fair and much below other estimates. Quality of his work was super up to the final finishing touches. My job was small and being worked along with another in the area. There was some minor touch up and sanding that should have been addressed by him on a third trip but I was left with a small container of mud and advise on sanding. I agreed but found it was trickier than anticipated. My error but feel he should have made the last trip.

I am extremely happy with the quality of his work. The ceiling hole butted up against the wall and you would never know there was a repair made. He matched the seam between the ceiling and wall and texture exactly. I would absolutely hire Darren again and actually have two additional repairs which we are holding off on to ensure the plumbing problem is fixed.

I was very satisfied with their work. They did a good job and they were very conscientious. I found their pricing was fair.

My experience with DW Drywall was excellent, from beginning to end. He was very flexible on schedule, met his committed due dates and the finished product was outstanding. I would happily hire DW Drywall again.

We had to remove several small-to-medium sized areas of drywall in the ceiling and walls of a 3-by-10 half bath, primarily due to some plumbing problems. Darren was able to come by to provide an estimate within two days of me calling, and scheduled the work within a week. He did a great job replacing the drywall that was removed and re-texturing it to match the existing. It all looks great!. He was punctual, professional and friendly. I'll definitely use DW Drywall again and recommend them to anyone.

We hired him immediately for the drywall repair and he was able to complete the job on short notice. He arrived on time and prepared the job site so that minimal dirt would be carried through the house (the bathrooms were on opposite sides of the house). His work was exceptional and even though we added 2 additional repairs the original bid price was the price he charged us. What a pleasant surprise that was! He was very pleasant and as others have noted...very easy to have in the house. He is focused and intent on completing the job to your satisfaction and the jobsite was very clean when he left. We are also going to hire him to remove the accoustic ceiling soon. I would recommend him to anyone who needs drywall repairs.

It has been such a pleasure to have good contractors of all kinds come work for us, before signing up for Angies list we had some real problems. Darren was great to work with, on time, cleaned up as he went, good communicator, easy to have in the house, I highly recommend him.

Project went exceptionally well. The finished product more than met my expectations. Derren was professional and friendly, just an all around nice guy. He worked quickly and was careful to keep the dust and dirt confined to the work area. I Hope to have him back in a couple of months to do the same for my living room area.

I had a whole collection of drywall repairs to make, from small areas all the way to whole walls. Darren came by and looked at everything. The bid he provided was broken down by area and room and he gave a discount for having everything done at one time. In addition to doing the drywall work, he was also able to frame one tricky area where I needed to cover a heating duct with an irregular shape. He matched the existing textures perfectly and once it's painted, you won't be able to tell that he was there.

He did an excellant job. I could not see where the repairs were made, making it a bit hard to paint over the repairs. One crack was very high up, too high for me to reach with a paint brush. Darren made it clear that he does not do painting, so I would have to make arrangements for that particular area.

DW Drywall price was competitive against other bid for the same job.

He was on the job as soon as the material could be delivered and returned every week day until it was completed. On several points he asked me which way I wanted him to handle the job (blending it into the existing drywall) and never suggested an additional charge. He cleaned up at the completion and had me look over the work to be certain it was as I wanted it. And it was -- very nice indeed.

It went great. Darren and Jessie were very prompt and do very good work. I'm picky and they met my expectations.

Darren was great! I had one of the most unique and ugly ceilings most people had ever seen. Other contractors were not willing to come out and look at the ceiling to give me an estimate on replacing it. In fact, Darren is the only contractor who went beyond my phone call and came over to speak with me about the ceiling. He is prompt, friendly, and did an excellent job. He worked around other contractors I had at the house and was able to accommodate my needs. My ceiling looks wonderful and I am very happy with the job. I am having electrical work done also and will hire Darren to do extensive patchwork soon.

Darren came out and gave me a quote. He seemed intelligent and trustworthy so I gave him the job without getting any more quotes. He arrived the next week with an assistant and completed the job in four hours! The work quality was very good (much better than I would have done) and they did a good job of dust containment and cleanup. I would certainly use him again. I did not rate the price because I have nothing to compare it to.

Very well. There are no traces of any damage and after I paint, one will not be able to tell that anything was done to the walls.

Name and contact came from Angie and I found excellent and timely response from Darren. For the amount of work involved he asked a very fair price. Protected all furnishings and sealed off areas not involved as well as very good end-of-job cleanup. I do recommend highly./Gordon-Edmonds
