DW Drywall

It was a pleasure to work with Darren to finish our basement. Our project was complicated, and we made it even more so by many changes and delays, but the outcome was perfect, both walls and ceiling. We would hire him again anytime.

Darrin did an awesome job and is a great guy. After an full house electrical rewire our house was riddled with holes. Darrin patched everything and it's impossible to tell that the holes were ever there. We just demolished our kitchen and are calling Darrin back. He's a rock star.

Prompt at returning calls - came and did an estimate then provided us with a proposal. Simple and to the point. He was professional, kind and trustworthy right off the bat. Comes from a long family history of dry wallers. I have referred him to friends as well and they thanked us profusely and adored not only Keith but his service was superb!

Darren and crew were great to work with. I was very concerned about the dust and they took great precautions to keep dust out of our living areas while working on this project for over 8 days (spanning over 10 days). Almost every area of the house was involved on two floors including a laundry ceiling and wall, patches in storage room, living and dining and new drywall completely in the renovated kitchen and about 1/2 new drywall in family room and nook. The project was not easy because the house was built in the 1950's, added onto and modified in the 1970's then changed again now. The wood sizes have changed, wood has twisted in those years, the house has settled and the angles and shapes although architecturally interesting made for a difficult drywall job. It would have been nice to have had less texture but Darren needed to have the new blend with the old and it does. I think drywall is the toughest thing to live through, they need a lot of space to make it look good, it's dusty and takes time but at least they were fun to have around and in good spirits which makes it easier to live through. I would definitely use Darren again.

DW fixed a drywall crack that was previously fixed by the original sub-contractor a year after we moved in. They only slapped some mud and texture on the drywall and called it a day, but the crack started to form within a year. We lived with the crack expanding for another 4 years before it really became an eye sore. It starts at the ceiling and goes straight down to the top of an arch. The arch uses rounded courners and those also started to show large cracks. Darren came over to check the crack out and was on time. He spent about 3 or 4 minutes looking at it and talked through the fix he would do. It sounded good to me so we talked about price and agreed on 350.00 cash. The day of the fix, he showed up on time and worked for several hours using screws to suck back the drywall and rounded corners, then used new tape and mud and feathered it out so it would blend. He textured it as close as he could to the original texture and it looks pretty good. Overall DW did a great job and took his time to make it right. I have no doubt the large crack will no longer come back.

We called Darren at DW Drywall on a Wednesday and he came out to give an estimate the very next day. He quickly looked over our small job and gave us a price which my husband thought was very fair. As we were in a hurry to get the job finished, Darren was able to schedule for the next week. He arrived on a Thursday morning and finished the first phase of the job by mid afternoon (the drywall mud had to dry overnight). Darren was only here about 2 hours the following morning and completed the job, including clean-up. Everything went smoothly, work was expertly done, and Darren was a pro in all aspects. As a bonus, he was a friendly and hard-working guy! If we have any jobs like this in the future we wouldn't hesitate a moment to hire DW Drywall again, and of course would highly recommend him to others.

Darren was very responsive, professional, and up front about the scope of the job. It was a small job, but he took great pride in repairing it in a proper way so there would be no evidence that a repair had been done. Upon my initial call, he came out to evaluate the job that day, and we scheduled the repair to be done the next week. He cut out a damaged piece, repaired and textured the area and it looked great after we repainted. I thought the texturing might not match well, but it showed no signs that it had been redone. It was located in our Family room and was very important to be done to match. He mentioned before he left that if I had any concerns after the job was completed, to give him a call.

We added drywall and green glue to 2 walls adjoining a neighbor in the process of remodeling our home. I found Darren on Angies list and he did a great job and he was very nice. Very pleased with results. So far I have painted one of the walls and it is seamless. .

arrived on time for estimate. gave me a start date and time and followed up as per his promise. he did the work quickly and efficiently.

Darren was great, he responded immediately to my initial call. Came by the following day to give us an estimate. He started when he said he would and finished the job promptly. Great work as well.

start date was delayed due to Darren having an accident in the work van but he made up for it and finished the work in the time I needed. I am very happy with the quality of the work and will use Darren again

Darren was great. He immediately took my information when I called about a few holes we had in a bedroom wall. He came by later in the day and gave me a very reasonable estimate for the work done. He said it would take about a day to a day and a half and he finished in a half day. He did a great job, was super friendly and respectful of the home environment (i work at home). I would definitely use them again.

Darren said what he was going to do and did what he said...Insulate, drywall and tape two car garage. The work was done on time and was exactly what we wanted including clean up.

The coat closet is framed in sheetrock and was a full inch out of square. Darren not only squared-up the door frame, he did an amazing job making it all look original. The new wall texture blended in perfectly with the existing wall texture. He also did two other repairs that blended in perfectly - Exactly what I was hoping for. Simply an awesome job!

Everything went very well. They were very predictable and stayed right on budget. I found them to be very professional.

We contacted Darren through Angie's List. From our first phone encounter throughout the process Darren was friendly and courteous. If I had a question, he was only too happy to explain what and why he was doing what he was doing. His work is d*** near perfect. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat, and have already recommended him to co-workers.

They were fast to respond, came and gave me a bid and were able to complete the project quickly and efficiently. The ceilings were scraped and then texture coated. They did such a great job, I had them do my hallway as well. Everything looks fantastic.

They were on time. They were clean cut and professional. They were quick with their jobs.

Most excellent! Darren was responsive, fast, efficicient, professional, reasonable. The work he did was AMAZING! I would recommend him any time to anyone wanting a professional outcome.

There was some extra delay as a result of Darren's sustaining an injury before work started, and a couple of additional complications. In all, work was delayed a couple of weeks. We had adequate notice, though, and the work was completed before our final deadline, so it wasn't much of a problem. The work itself was done competently and on schedule once it started. The lines are straight and the walls and ceiling are smooth, and in all it's a big improvement. The estimating and invoicing process could use some improvement however. It would be more professional to receive a formal estimate invoice and again to have the final invoice presented in official form in a timely manner. We're still waiting for the final paperwork, as the work was paid for on the basis of a receipt rather than the normal invoice form.

I didn't hire them. They had the lowest bid. It seemed like he had a good work ethic. He was a nice guy. My interaction with him was great. He came when he said he would and he came right on time. I would consider him for exterior work because it didn't appear that he had a lot of experience with interior work.

Darren was very quick to give a bid. He showed up the same day called. Another contractor had been scheduled to do the work, but when the competitor insisted on 50% upfront, we were uncomfortable with that. Darren's price was good, just a little under the other contractor. He was able to start within a few days. He showed up on time. He stayed with the job until it was finished. His work was of good quality and he was paid 100% upon completion.

Darren was the busiest of all the bidders and we had to wait almost a week for his bid. He came on time on the date scheduled and called me a few hours later with an oral bid for the job as I told him I was waiting on his bid to make my decision. I really appreciated that as he was driving all over the eastside that day. He explained what they would do and I felt confident that we would get a good result with their work. Unfortunately we were not expecting to need to hire this part of the project out but have to due to an injury so we needed to go with the lowest bid which also came from a very highly rated Angie's List company.
