We needed a new roof and windows and it was nice that we could everything we needed done. Home improvement can be stressful and working with Dabella was easy and stress free. Alex helped with every step and was very helpful and educated, and he was able to answer all our questions. He was able to get us exactly what we needed to stayed within our budget.

 + -1 moreI was looking for a roofing contractor. What I got was a very pushy salesman. would not take no for an answer. I have a 1286 sq ft house that needs a reroof with possible wood replacement as well and with other repairs. The roof is in rough shape. The price they quoted me was $22,000. After some discussion, he lowered the price to $17,000 after making a call to his manager, supposedly. I explained to him that my mom was paying for my roof and that she was currently in the ICU. I told him I would have to talk with her first. He told me that the offer was good for 24 hours and he would call me the next day. Are you kidding me?? first the price and then the time limit, while my mother lay in ICU. The meeting, or rather, sales pitch, lasted over 2 hours. Said how busy they were, how many customers they had. Then why the hard sell? The gentlemen and his female partner were very nice. But way too pushy. I have bid the job with four other very good companies who also have the same warranty and use the same products that DaBella uses and I have quotes ranging in price from $6000 to $12,000. I personally would recommend anyone who thinks about using this company to acquire quotes from actual professional, licensed installer. You meet the salesmen, you don't get to meet the installers. Just personally not for me.

 + -1 moreJaden and Matthew were very professional and responsive in their presentation, although the presentation about the company did get rather long winded. It's obvious that DaBella takes value-added quality and service seriously, from the front office coordination, to the work crew and their workmanship, to the quality assurance at the end. Other than our nice stainless steel wood stove chimney pipe being accidentally painted to match the color of the roof vents, would highly recommend, the level of quality and service was really on top of it. Not to mention the roof is just solid, most of all.

Several times we asked Travis to get to the point of price...almost 3 hours later he gave us a ridiculously high bid on the job. There was pressure, too, to say yes or no tonight. When we explained we were waiting for another bid to be emailed to us, Travis kept pressuring us to say yes or no. We're not using this company because of extremely high bid. And, the sales tactics.

Description of Work: This is a partial review. We've hired Reve to replace our roof, but the work won't start until next year. This is a review of the sales experience. We've been in our current house for 12 or so years, and the work that was done by the previous owner was questionable at best. So we knew we'd need to look into a roof replacement sooner or later. A neighborhood canvasser for Reve stopped by and we took it as an opportunity to price the job. We met Ernest and Fabian shortly after that. They inspected the roof, then dove into an exhaustive analysis of the roofing industry in Washington, the current practices of most roofing companies, how they did things and why it was better. Maybe a little too exhaustive for my taste, but I appreciate the approach of educating us, the potential client, and then letting their solutions speak for themselves. Our roof was in worse shape than I thought it would be, but it also wasn't surprising, given the quality of the previous owner's other work on the house. Reve is more expensive than a lot of other roofing companies, but I believe in spending a little bit more for quality work that I won't have to worry about for a long time. Both Ernest and Fabian were very friendly and knowledgeable. They got along well with our pups, which is always a plus. Everything they said about why their way was better made sense to me from an analytical standpoint. Assuming what they told me about the materials and practices are true, then it all makes sense. At this point I have no reason to assume otherwise. These are the cons that stuck out from out meeting. The first is the price. Based on what they showed me, I believe it's fair, but it's still a lot of money, and money I wasn't planning to spend right now. Another con was the length of the meeting. We were told by the canvasser that it would be a 90 minute consult, and I think we finished up in around 4 hours. Obviously part of that was signing contracts and picking out materials, but we had blown way past the 90 minute mark by the time we got to that. Another con, for me, was the "0%, same as cash" financing the canvasser mentioned. It's a common practice, I know, but these deals that sound great until you find out the details are just frustrating. It ended up being the worse option for us in terms of paying for the work. The last thing is a personal thing for me. While much of the sales pitch was providing information, there were a few times where there were multiple possibilities, and we were gently led to the most optimal solution, which just happened to be what they do. I mean, at this point I'm just being nit-picky. This is just how these things work and I understand that, but I think it's only fair to mention these minor cons along with the pros. Overall I was very happy with the experience and look forward to getting my dodgy roof replaced.
